Chapter 89: Chapter 87

Just like that, the two began to talk more about the buildings that she was going to buy. As they talked, the manager showed Diamond the 3D images of the buildings that she had taken a liking to.

The buildings just needed some renovating, and they were both empty, so she didn’t need to worry about evicting tenants. Back in Taco, she received a building with tenants, so this time she wanted an empty building like the one for the foundation.

After discussing it further, she realized that if she paid in full and once, she would get a nice discount. She also loved getting discounts, and she wasn’t planning on paying in installments.

Why make life difficult when it could be easy?

So, after checking the buildings on the screen, the two of them left the agency and went to check the buildings in person. They were quite good and, just like the manager had told her earlier; they needed some touch for them to be in perfect condition. And she was very cool with that.

Satisfied with what she saw, Diamond finalized the deal that very day, as she didn’t want to delay and return the next day when the buildings had been sold to another person.

With a legal department ready to serve her, she just let one lawyer help her look at the documents before she was done.

As for the certificates and the deeds, she was going to get them in a couple of days, since they needed to process them first.

However, before leaving, Diamond looked at several villas available in other villa complexes. Since Cherry Court was too quiet and with only a few residents, Diamond wanted to find a place where she could stay with other people and make friends.

Even Lotus Palace was better compared to Cherry Court when it comes to the number of residents, as neighbors would bump into each other, whether on the same floor, elevator, or restaurant.

She also wanted to make friends of her age. Cecilia was older than her and the people that she knew were all married and around her age. Diamond didn’t want to feel as if she was old when she wasn’t.

She was twenty-five and yet she looked two to three years younger than that. She needed to up her game.

However, there was basically nothing of interest after browsing, but the enthusiastic manager promised her that once he heard of something good, he would call her.

After getting his promise, Diamond left the agency, but first, she got to watch a free show.

"I still can’t believe that there are people like you who judge others like that. Don’t you know that anyone who enters our premises is a client? Whether he or she can afford to buy or rent a house that shouldn’t be the base of how you should treat others?" a beautifully dressed young woman wearing a white trouser suit with a purple blouse was busy scolding several female agents she had seen earlier when she arrived.

Besides her was a casually dressed young man, who looked out of place and didn’t look as if he belonged.

The agency didn’t sell anything below five million and with the way, people loved judging others. It was normal that when they saw the young man, all they could think of was that he didn’t belong.

In the end, a rich lady came to save the day. Wasn’t everything happening as if it was a novel?

She wasn’t definitely in one, right? She just hoped so.

"Don’t bother with them. They should have learned their lesson by now. How about we go and grab an early supper?" the young man suggested as he suddenly stopped the rich lady from continuing with a soft voice that made him look very charming.

However, the more Diamond looked at the young man, the more she felt as if he was either a big shot or a scammer. She hated scammers the most and men who loved causing trouble when they would have just solved the problem at hand by being presentable from the beginning.

When the young woman heard that, Diamond saw agony in her eyes, which baffled her.

’What the heck is going on there?’

However, her curiosity was cut short as the young woman suddenly glanced in her direction.

As Diamond was standing as she ate melons, it was notable that she was just there to enjoy the drama.

So, when the young woman looked at her, Diamond didn’t evade her gaze but slightly titled her head in salute with a smile on her face and that looked almost like a provocation.

The young woman looked baffled at first upon seeing that before a scowl appeared on her face.

Diamond, seeing that, knew that it was time for her to leave. She had been out for a long time and if she continued eating melons, that young woman was surely going to drag her into the drama and she didn’t want that.

Luckily, the manager was on her tail, so when that young woman was busy scowling, the manager approached her and respectfully said to her, attracting everyone’s attention in the process.

"I am glad that I found you here."

Upon hearing that, Diamond became curious once again as to what the man wanted from her.

"Is there something wrong?"

"No, it’s not like that!" the manager shook his head and waved his hands in denial before continuing, "It’s regarding the issue we last talked about."

When Diamond heard that, her eyes twinkled with interest.

And thinking of a way to leave the agency without pulling the scowling woman with her, she faced the manager and said to him, "Walk me out as you share the details with me."

The manager didn’t find anything wrong with that, so he agreed.

So, under the watchful eyes of many, especially the young woman who was definitely planning something about her, Diamond left with her head held high, with a respectful manager following her.

"Who is she?" the young woman in white asked as she looked at the female agents, who were still reflecting.

One of the agents raised her hand as if she was in class after the question was asked, and the white-dressed woman saw her.

"Just tell me!" she demanded.

"She is a major client. I heard that she purchased a few buildings today," the agent replied.

Upon hearing, the white-dressed woman’s complexion didn’t seem good, and a glint flashed through her eyes before vanishing. However, the young man standing by her side saw it, and a smirk slowly emerged on his face.

’This is getting interesting!’

Outside the building, Diamond was engrossed once again as the manager enthusiastically told her about the villa that the manager had just heard might be put on the market any day soon.

Diamond heard about the neighborhood where the villa was, and honestly, that place was great. All villas there were very expensive but the good thing was that there were a lot of villas and that meant more people to her.

The complex was built ten years ago and was still new. So, she was looking forward to seeing whether she could buy the villa or not.

In the end, she promised the manager that she would come to see the villa on Friday since she had an appointment the following day.

That was if the villa was still on the market.

After dealing with the manager, Diamond entered her car under the respectful gaze of the manager and drove away.

The manager looked at the Angel XI that just drove away and couldn’t help but shake with excitement.

’Thank goodness I didn’t overstep my boundaries. I should latch onto her. She is generous and I believe that as long as I do that, I will earn it big,’ he thought to himself as he made his way back to the building.

When he returned, he was welcomed by a familiar face he had overlooked earlier since he wanted to please Ms. Perry before she left.

"Ms. Anne!" he called out as soon as he saw the woman dressed in white.

The young woman, whose expression wasn’t looking well, scoffed upon seeing the man who used to fawn over her repeatedly. And yet, because of that vixen, he just acted as if he didn’t see her.

"Mr. James, it’s a surprise that you can see me. I thought that I was no longer somebody in your eyes after seeing you earlier!" in a scornful manner, Anne retorted.

James couldn’t react upon hearing that. Whichever reaction he gives would come out bad in front of Anne. He knew her very well, and she was like a white lotus. She pretends to be nice, but she is a prickly one.

"Hehe, how can it be like that? I had unfinished business earlier and was afraid that I might miss her. Otherwise, how can I ignore you?" James just hoped that Anne would not push the issue further, otherwise, he would be in for a scolding with his superior later.

"Hmphh, that better be. Anyway, teach your staff to respect the clients and stop mistreating others just because they assume that everyone is a pauper like them!"

James simply maintained a smile as Anne began to show her true colors. Her tongue was venomous when she wanted it to be, and he was truly scared of it.

"I will give them a warning. Customers are kings and they should be aware of it."

"That better be the case or else I will tell Brother Hillary about this!" Anne threatened with a smug expression on her face.

Upon hearing that, James knew that trouble was coming, so he quickly began to coax Anne so that she wouldn’t go that far.

Anne and his boss Hillary were siblings born to different parents. Their families were friends and Anne really liked showing off her authority whenever she came to the agency and everyone was used to her.

So, no matter what, he needed to pacify Anne so that he and the rest would keep their jobs.

However, that came at a cost, as Anne asked what he feared the most, "just who is that woman?"
