SIGNING IN: BEING SHOWERED BY HEAVENLY BLESSINGS FOR FIVE YEARS -
Chapter 88 - 86
Chapter 88: Chapter 86
The next day, Diamond woke up very early and went on a morning jog before washing up.
Since she had a meeting with the real estate agent that morning, she decided that she wouldn’t be going to the foundation.
So, she didn’t leave early but waited for Ruby to come downstairs so that they could have breakfast together.
Due to Ruby’s business, Diamond couldn’t see Ruby properly as the other was tired.
Diamond waited for Ruby, who showed up around half-past six, dressed in casual clothes, and with a glance, Diamond could tell that Ruby would be working on the field.
"Good morning, big sis!" Ruby greeted cheerfully as she joined Diamond at the table.
Seeing Ruby looking pretty and cheerful, Diamond felt at ease. She didn’t want anything happening to her baby sis, especially while she was working at her place.
She still wanted to see her little sister soaring with her efforts. After all, the two of them were very different.
If she had not received the system, she wouldn’t be the person she was right now.
"Good morning to you, too. Did you sleep well?" Diamond greeted back with a smile as Ruby sat opposite her at the table.
"It was awesome!" Ruby grinned at Diamond as she answered.
"That’s good then. Where are you going today?" Diamond asked as she pulled the dishes closer to her.
"Oh! I need to see a few patients today at the hospital. Just some follow-up and all that."
"Okay, just don’t pressure yourself and make sure that you rest."
"Don’t worry, I will. Besides, everything is fun and I love it."
"As long as it’s like that, I am relieved."
The sisters chatted as they ate their early breakfast that Aunt Janet had prepared very early. Since Aunt Janet was staying at the villa most of the time unless she was on leave, it was only proper to enjoy the meals at home.
After eating breakfast, the sisters got into their cars separately. Ruby was the first to leave while Diamond followed after.
Diamond didn’t head to the foundation but went straight to the agency where she was going to be meeting the real estate agent.
She arrived just five minutes before eight and she couldn’t be faulted for nearly arriving late.
Unfortunately for her, there was an accident on the road that she was using, which caused a heavy traffic flow as a result.
Fortunately, only the cars suffered damage and none of the drivers or passengers were injured.
However, when a person is rich, even if she or he comes late, the other party would not react that badly and just accept whatever excuse the rich person spews.
Diamond was rich, and she was no longer afraid to show that. Since she was given the money, then she should use it in any good way possible.
The money she had donated and used for charitable causes in just seven months was a lot when compared to some reputable charity organizations.
Her people were working so hard and money was flowing out more than it was flowing in.
Currently, there wasn’t even a single profit earned from the foundation. It was just her injecting money while the accountants had their hearts bleeding from watching all the money leaving the accounts.
But that was life and she wasn’t sad because of that.
She had earned much more for doing nothing, so there was nothing wrong with giving back to society.
When she arrived, Diamond cooly exited her Angel XI, the car that truly loves drawing people’s attention.
As an avid reader of novels, Diamond understood well just how people loved judging people by their appearances.
There were so many real estate agency scenes she had read, where a buyer wearing common clothes could just be bullied just because he or she didn’t look the part.
In the end, the agents would be face-slapped after the person they have looked down upon takes out some black card or turned out to be some hidden bigshot that they couldn’t provoke.
There was so much drama in life, and Diamond didn’t want to waste her time by being an actress in one. Besides, why bother seeking trouble when she could just end it by exposing her status?
That was why she took her sports car that would draw attention everywhere, unlike her Arcadelle, which other people might mistake for a less expensive SUV.
Even her clothes completely screamed that a rich aunt was walking by. And she approved of that idea the second that she walked into the building.
The second the receptionists saw her, fawning expressions automatically appeared on their faces.
Although she knew that these people feared the strong and bullied the weak, the feeling of being fawned like that felt especially good to her.
She still remembered over seven months ago when she couldn’t even enter a shop to buy cheap clothes. Because of the mask and low self-esteem, she was a mess.
There was a time when she was humiliated after her face mask fell off. At that time, she still had the rash, and she was scared of going places after that.
However, the situation had practically reversed, and she loved it.
"Welcome young miss. How may we help you today?"
Diamond didn’t want to waste time waiting in the lobby, so she told the receptionist what she wanted.
"I have an appointment with your manager. Can you please tell him that Ms. Perry is here?"
Upon hearing that, the receptionist flushed a bit as she was taken aback by how direct Diamond was.
However, as an experienced employee, she politely responded, "I will give him a call. Do you mind waiting for him a bit?"
"No, I don’t mind. I will wait," Diamond said, before motioning the other to do what she had to do.
The receptionist immediately called the manager while Diamond was waiting. Diamond didn’t eavesdrop on her call but was rather interested in what a certain couple was doing on the other side.
"Isn’t this house a bit small?" the woman asked with uncertainty.
"But that is what I can afford at the moment. You know how houses are increasing in price every single day," the man answered worriedly, his brows furrowed.
Diamond’s lips rose unexpectedly hearing their conversation. She couldn’t help but start imagining how things would end for the couple when everything was done. She didn’t want to be pessimistic, but some things weren’t meant to end well at all.
When she was thinking of possible endings, the beautiful receptionist suddenly walked towards her, making Diamond look at the other as she waited for a response.
"The manager said he will come and pick you up in just a moment."
Upon hearing that, Diamond flashed a polite smile at the young woman and responded, "Thank you for your hard work."
The receptionist blushed once again upon hearing that. Diamond watched helplessly as the young woman fled from the scene and began to wonder if there was something wrong with her.
Diamond didn’t wait for long as she saw a man coming out from the door inside the building, and judging from the way he was dressed, it seemed that he was a man of authority.
And that man walked straight to her with a respectful expression on his face when he spotted her.
"You must be Ms. Perry?" he asked for reassurance as he stopped in front of her.
Seeing the name badge of the person she was looking for, Diamond, who was seated, stood up with a smile.
When she stood, she was nearly taller than the manager since she was wearing some wedges, however, that could show just how much taller she had grown compared to before.
Diamond, who used to be 1.65m, was now 1.7m, which was a great feat for her.
"Yes, that’s me," she answered as soon as she was standing.
"That’s great. Please follow me. We will discuss more inside."
Diamond nodded her head in agreement before following the enthusiastic manager to his office.
The office was spacious and Diamond spotted several photos of the manager and probably with his family since she knew nothing of the man.
"Do you want some water, juice, or tea?" the manager asked as soon as they were seated in the office.
Diamond shook her head before saying, "I am fine. Let’s just get down to business."
She didn’t want to linger around for longer. There was so much that needed to be done and although being polite was the right thing to do, men sometimes were a bit too tricky to trust.
There were just too many stories related to real estate agents, and she wanted to buy her buildings and leave without drama.
The manager seemed to notice that Diamond wasn’t the kind that would stay for long stretching and wasting time for no particular reason, and he found it a pity.
However, he had buildings that needed to be sold and as long as he convinced her well, he would have a great commission.
Judging by how she was dressed, he was sure that she came from a rich family, though he wasn’t sure which family exactly.
However, as long as she buys, he can slowly dig into her and see just where she is from.
"Sure, so you said that you wanted to see ..."
