SIGNING IN: BEING SHOWERED BY HEAVENLY BLESSINGS FOR FIVE YEARS -
Chapter 86 - 84
Chapter 86: Chapter 84
Diamond woke up very early at dawn and went on a jog around the court.
Unfortunately, she didn’t see any of her neighbors during that time. When she returned to the villa, she went to her bedroom, where she started taking a shower.
When she was done with her preparations after the shower, she took her things downstairs and wasn’t surprised to see Aunt Janet, who was just entering the villa, to start her day.
When Aunt Janet saw her, the middle-aged woman was very happy to see her, as they had not seen each other for a while now.
"Welcome back, Miss!"
Diamond smiled brightly at the lady and responded to her, "It’s good to be back. How have you been?"
"Everything was fine and your side?"
"It went exceptionally well!" while beaming with excitement and confidence, Diamond said.
She couldn’t help but recall how much fun she had while in Srad. Especially when she thought of how she gave Theresa a lesson. She became happier.
Seeing her happy like that, Aunt Janet, who knew nothing of what Diamond was doing in Srad, felt happy for her employer. It was great to see her being like that.
However, she couldn’t spend most of her time talking, as she had a lot of work to do.
Seeing Diamond all dressed up, she began to panic a bit, so she asked, "Are you leaving already?"
Diamond looked at Aunt Janet without perceiving anything and answered brightly, "Yes. when Ruby wakes up, just tell her that I am gone."
Seeing that Diamond didn’t seem upset since she hadn’t prepared breakfast for her, Janet was relieved.
"Okay, I will inform her."
After chatting a bit with Aunt Janet, Diamond left the villa.
Since the Dentley remained in Srad, Diamond took her Arcadelle SUV to work since she didn’t want to use the Angel XI.
Diamond hummed along to the songs playing on the radio as she headed for work. Upon arrival, she unlocked the doors, since she had a pair of keys for that.
She then entered the building and made her way to the top floor, where her office was.
After so much hard work, the building was finally fully renovated, so the staff no longer needed to squeeze together on a few floors.
Sitting inside a spacious office around seven, Diamond began to start working. And with Andrea by her side, Diamond’s workload was slightly lessened.
Andrea would read important emails to her while she dealt with other things.
By the time it was eight, Diamond was done with all the unfinished work she was supposed to work on.
Around nine that morning, she called all department heads to the conference room, where she held a meeting that lasted until eleven o’clock.
After discussing everything that was needed, Diamond finally felt as if she could breathe.
Ruby was busy as usual. And finally, Diamond got to know what her little sister was up to, and honestly, she felt proud of her.
Although Ruby was young and just a high school graduate, she was hard-working and wasn’t the kind to cry and complain.
Faith, the fan who was hospitalized, was slowly getting well. And that was good news for her and the foundation.
What made her jubilant was the number of people coming for counseling, whether as individuals or as groups, to the foundation.
She was happy that people were finally recognizing them and willing to receive help for whatever issues they had.
Since she hadn’t eaten breakfast, Diamond had an early lunch at the restaurant and was very satisfied with the quality of the food.
Seeing that, she couldn’t help but think of opening another business. It’s been a while since she had started something new.
The foundation was working properly even without her interference, and the Diamond Farm was doing well.
After having her lunch, she went to check on the vegetable store and the butchery. She was glad when she saw customers buying without complaints.
After checking those two, she found out that she didn’t have anything to do anymore. She couldn’t go to check on her farm as she hadn’t prepared for it yet and since she already promised to go there on Thursday, she wasn’t going to go early.
She also didn’t want to intervene much in the projects that the foundation was taking part in, as she wanted to see how well they could work without her.
And since she wasn’t that good herself, she didn’t want to make a fool of herself, so finding something new to do was the best option.
So, to think much better, Diamond found herself stopping by a quiet café in some alley.
Diamond was wearing a purple trouser suit with a black blouse which gave that business lady vibes.
When she found the café that Andrea recommended since she knew nothing about the cafes, as she barely used to go to them in the past, Diamond was relieved.
She found a table in the corner where she could see the road and the people passing by. Just because she needed some quietness didn’t mean explicitly that she wanted to be isolated.
Isolation would drive her crazy at the stage that she was at and she didn’t want that.
She removed the blazer and placed it on the opposite chair, took out her tablet, and began to browse through it as she waited for her food to arrive.
Moments later, the young and pretty waitress brought her order over. Since it was hot, she ordered a chilled latte and a piece of strawberry cake.
With her food in front of her, she placed the tablet on the table and began to savor her dessert slowly.
As she ate her food without regard for the curious glances directed at her, a familiar notification sounded in her mind.
[Ding! Do you want to sign in?]
Without any delay or thoughts, Diamond responded, ’Sign in!’
[Ding! You have been rewarded with an optical computer. It has been sent to your inventory.]
Now that was confusing. What was the system talking about?
An optical computer; wasn’t that something she read in some sci-fi novel some time ago?
But wasn’t that also interesting?
She got Andrea the last time, and now she was being given an advanced communication device.
Things were slowly starting to get very interesting and she couldn’t wait to research what the device had to offer.
Since she couldn’t check it out that moment, Diamond resumed enjoying her dessert in peace.
After a couple of minutes, the cake was finished and so was the latte. When she was done, she picked up her tablet again and began to browse through the internet in search of ideas.
If she wanted to start a new business, she needed to pick something that she was confident about.
Opening a restaurant would be good, but at the moment, the farm wasn’t able to provide that much. However, once the land was fertilized, Diamond would start on that project.
So, for the moment, the only business she could think of was cosmetics. Since the creams she had in possession were plenty, she didn’t mind parting with a few and earning money from them.
However, for her to do that, she wanted to open a shop. Even if she were to sell two creams a day, she didn’t mind doing so, since she didn’t have the formulas to make the creams. Besides, she was confident that the creams would sell very well.
However, after browsing for a while, a headache started creeping in. Seeing that her brain wasn’t functioning well. She took out an ear pod, plugged it into her ear, and began to do something that she had been good at recently.
"Andrea, find me a list of buildings that I can buy with enough parking. Preferably not too big, but they should be easily accessible," she instructed Andrea, the best assistant in the world.
[I will give you the list in a short moment.]
Upon hearing that, Diamond heaved a sigh of relief.
Ever since she got Andrea, she stopped automatically thinking about any complicated things that required too much reasoning.
Since Andrea wasn’t going to leave her anytime soon, Diamond felt that she should trust the A.I. and leave all the strenuous work to it.
Moments later, Diamond received a list of buildings in Frin that were for sale.
She began to go through the list and read thoroughly all the information about the buildings since she could at least do that.
That process took her nearly twenty minutes until she was done checking the six buildings that she could purchase at the moment.
Among the six buildings, Diamond loved two of them.
One was a three-storied building like the one she got for the Diamond Farm, while the other was a five-storied one.
Both buildings shared one thing in common: they were isolated and had a huge parking space. They were also easily accessible as the main roads were nearby, unlike the other buildings that were mingled with others.
Since her products were complicated, Diamond didn’t want to be in an overpopulated area. The more isolated the area was, the better it was for her.
Besides, the buildings were cheap in her eyes, since they would only be taking a small fraction of her savings.
The five-story building was tagged at A$14 million while the three-storied one was A$10 million.
That was nothing to her, so she decided that instead of purchasing just one building, she might as well just go for two.
So, she immediately instructed, "Andrea, book a meeting for me. I want to see the person in charge as soon as possible, preferably tomorrow since I have a meeting on Thursday."
[Sure, let me process your request right now.]
"Thanks for your hard work."
Diamond was indeed very grateful to Andrea. He had been of great help to her ever since she got him. And without him, she didn’t know what her life would be.
