SIGNING IN: BEING SHOWERED BY HEAVENLY BLESSINGS FOR FIVE YEARS -
Chapter 84 - 82
Chapter 84: Chapter 82
Since it was around seven, Ruby should be arriving anytime soon, and as her elder sister Diamond had been looking at the clock several times, just anticipating her return.
As she anxiously waited, despite being entertained by the list she was viewing, Andrea, her reliable assistant, appeared once again.
[My lady, your sister is here!]
Upon hearing that, a smile blossomed on her face as she placed the tablet on the table. "That’s good then!" she said excitedly.
Outside the villa, Ruby parked her car in front of the house and exited, looking very exhausted.
"I hate Mondays!" she complained as she took her handbag plus a tote bag filled with files.
Ruby, who wanted to earn some money for herself before going to university, was slowly starting to realize just how tough life was.
With so much to do at the foundation, she didn’t even have a single second to rest and keep to herself. Everyone was so busy that it was starting to become difficult to just rest normally.
Ruby, as the intern and the person in charge of checking the beneficiaries that the foundation helped in Srad, was busy moving up and down.
She just wanted to get a shower, go to bed, and take a rest.
Aunt Janet wasn’t at home, as she had other things to do at her home. That meant that she would be home alone since her sister didn’t tell her when she was coming.
So, she was home alone, and that knowledge made her feel lazy and uninterested in anything.
And since she was just tired, she didn’t even notice that the lights were on which shouldn’t be, since there wasn’t anyone at home.
She diligently swiped the card on the door and opened it before entering the house, dragging her feet tiredly.
And since she wasn’t expecting anyone at home at all, Ruby didn’t bother to check around the house but simply headed straight to the elevator, and under a baffled Diamond’s gaze, she took it upstairs.
Diamond, seeing her little sister looking like a zombie, couldn’t help but worry.
’What the heck had been happening when I was away?’
Worried about Ruby, Diamond didn’t wait for the elevator but took the stairs to the second floor where Ruby’s room was to check up on her.
When she arrived there, her door wasn’t locked, so it was very easy for her to swiftly enter, as if it was hers.
When she entered Ruby’s room, something that she had barely done since she had been loving to not intrude on anyone’s space. Due to the many secrets, she had on her, Diamond had been loving her privacy a lot.
Even Ruby knew not to just enter her room without permission, although the most important stuff was hidden in the hidden closet or the storage ring.
However, she didn’t like it when someone invaded her room and because of that; she didn’t like invading others as well.
However, she was worried about Ruby’s complexion as what she had seen didn’t sit well with her.
So, when she entered the room, she was expecting to see Ruby sleeping already, especially after seeing how tired she looked earlier, but she wasn’t there.
Her sharp hearing, though, made her aware of where Ruby was.
’She is bathing. That’s good!’ she felt relieved upon knowing that.
As long as the body was refreshed, then everything else would go well.
Since Ruby was showering, Diamond decided to not sit idly in her room but just took out a bottle of beauty cream from her storage ring and placed it on the dressing table where a similar bottle was but with only little contents.
She also left a note to inform Ruby to come downstairs and have a meal first before sleeping.
’It’s like she eats cream and does not apply it!’
Without much to do and see, Diamond returned to the first floor, where she began to serve the plates as she waited for Ruby to come downstairs when she was done.
Upstairs, Ruby finished her shower and was feeling much better. All the fatigue had been washed away, and she was in a better condition than before.
"A good bath surely does its magic!" she exclaimed as she left the bathroom, wrapping a towel over her body.
Ruby walked towards the dressing table with swift steps and in a good mood.
However, when she reached the table and sat down, she couldn’t help but notice something that wasn’t there when she left that morning.
Ruby was the kind of person who knew every single thing especially the placement of her belongings, especially inside her territory.
And that extra bottle wasn’t there when she left.
Her sister had a few of the bottles, and she could only give her one when another one was completely finished. So, it was rare to have two similar bottles with her.
So, when she saw it, happiness suddenly filled her as she grabbed the bottle with anticipation.
"Who placed you here? Is it that my sister is back?" she couldn’t help but ask no one in particular in a jovial tone.
And the answers to those questions were revealed to her after she read the note pasted on the bottle.
[Come downstairs to eat when you are done.]
Aunt Janet wouldn’t dare leave notes for her like that, but someone else was that daring.
And thinking of her sister she had not seen in person for nearly a week, Ruby’s remaining fatigue vanished completely.
Speedily, Ruby was soon wearing her pajamas and sandals before rushing downstairs.
Downstairs, Diamond had finished serving the plates and was seated at the table as she browsed through her social media accounts as she waited for Ruby to join her.
"Sister, it’s you!"
Ruby, who was upstairs a while ago, suddenly found her way to Diamond.
When Diamond heard her sister’s familiar voice, it sounded energetic as well. She couldn’t help but smile as she turned her head to face the only little sister that she had in her world.
"Hmm, I am back!"
Ruby, seeing that it was indeed Diamond, was so thrilled that she ran excitedly to where she was before hugging her.
Although Diamond was sitting, that didn’t stop the young one from showering her sister with a hug and kisses.
Diamond just let Ruby do whatever she wanted and maintained a smile on her face.
She was very happy as the feeling of having someone waiting for you at home and being happy upon your return was very novel to her.
After smooching her sister all over, Ruby felt even more energized.
’As usual, her skin is as soft as a baby’s!’ with satisfaction on her face, Ruby inwardly praised as she pulled away.
"Did you miss me?" Diamond asked teasingly as she enjoyed Ruby’s facial expression.
Sticking her tongue out at Diamond as she walked to the other side of the table, Ruby responded, "Umm, I missed you. Did you miss me too?"
"Hehe, how can I not miss you?"
Ruby grinned happily as she sat down upon hearing that. "It’s good then. When did you arrive?" Ruby asked excitedly.
Seeing that Ruby was no longer haggard the way she was before, Diamond heaved a sigh of relief. At least there was nothing wrong with her physically, and it was maybe the workload that was just overwhelming.
"A couple of hours ago," Diamond answered.
"Oh, that wasn’t too long ago. What did you bring for me?"
"Eat your food and I will give it to you."
"Are you not pulling my leg?"
"Why should I even bother doing that?"
"That’s true. I will eat."
The two sisters bickered back and forth as they started enjoying their first meal in nearly a week.
After having their supper, the two sisters cleaned the dishes before they headed to the third floor where Diamond’s bedroom was.
It’s been a while since Ruby had been on the top floor of the villa. So, she was very excited to see if anything had changed yet and what Diamond had brought for her.
Inside the main bedroom, Diamond took the gifts she brought for Ruby that she had kept in her storage ring and handed them over to Ruby.
She watched as Ruby screamed and danced around happily after getting her gifts. And those actions were very meaningful to her as they showed how much Ruby loved what she had brought for her as gifts.
The two sisters talked for an hour about Diamond’s trip to Srad before Diamond chases Ruby away.
Ruby was tired and she was starting to yawn even though it wasn’t nine yet. Diamond knew that if she needed Ruby to be in good condition the next day, then letting her rest was the best solution.
So, despite Ruby’s reluctance to go to sleep as she hadn’t had enough yet, Diamond still chased her mercilessly before resting herself.
It was another working day the following day, and there was so much for her to do that she was already getting a headache.
’Praying for a better day.’
