Chapter 82: Chapter 80

Nothing beats waking up in the morning in a good mood.

When Diamond woke up the next day naturally without Andrea singing in her ear, she freshened up as she sang a song.

It was Monday and the day that she was departing for Frin. She had been in Srad for five days. It was time for her to leave and return home.

And the sooner she left, the better it was for her as she needed to deal with a few things.

As she had been preoccupied with having fun in the past few days, she had somehow forgotten about a pressurizing issue that had been giving her a headache on the day she left for Srad.

The rain had not graced them yet, and the days were passing quickly. With the way everything was happening, it wouldn’t be a surprise if the prices of agricultural products soared the following year.

There was no rain falling and without rain, it meant that the farmers that relied more on it would suffer.

Unlike her, who had an irrigation system and a dam installed, other people weren’t that fortunate.

When there are few grains, it means that the entire nation would be crying. When there are no grains, food scarcity would haunt everyone like demons from hell.

When there is food scarcity, prices will soar. The price changes would affect the poor mostly, for the rich would never have a problem purchasing anything.

And her heart was aching for everyone. She was no God, but she sincerely prayed for the skies to show some mercy and allow the rain to fall.

With an aching heart, Diamond, who woke up happily, was not feeling well.

Even the mood to do some last-minute shopping vanished. Fortunately, she was leaving around eleven, which would be soon.

Diamond packed most of her belongings and stored them in her storage ring and only left a few things for the suitcase since she couldn’t go empty-handed.

After packing everything and making sure that she missed nothing, Diamond left the penthouse.

She dragged her suitcase to the elevator, which she waited for to reach the floor from the top floors.

Inside the elevator, there were three women dressed in suits and fascinators.

With the way the women were dressed, Diamond assumed that they were going to a function.

So, she greeted them politely, and they returned the greetings.

Diamond wasn’t planning on bringing the car with her, so she had Andrea monitor it to make sure that nothing happened to it while she wasn’t in Srad.

After the elevator reached the ground floor, Diamond dragged her suitcase out and walked towards the exit.

Seeing her leaving with the suitcase, one butler at the Lotus Palace rushed to her.

Without stopping, Diamond chatted with the older man and told him that she was leaving for a while and would be back when it was time.

Since she wasn’t obliged to confide in the servants, she just brushed the other before leaving the complex.

Outside the complex, the Uber she had booked previously was already waiting for her.

Instead of going straight to the airport, Diamond instructed the driver to take her to any restaurant that serves a good breakfast.

And since she had booked the man for several hours, the driver was happy to oblige, as he was earning.

Diamond had a hearty breakfast at a restaurant in some part of an alley and left a tip as she was very satisfied with her food.

After the meal, the Uber finally took her to the airport where she arrived just before ten that morning.

Being in a good mood again, Diamond was generous in her tip towards the driver and even got his contact details, just in case she was in Srad and required his services.

One hour later, Diamond was once again seated in the business class cabin dressed so simply that she didn’t look like someone who could afford a ticket there.

With how full she was, she wasn’t in the mood to do anything and was a bit lazy. So, when the plane was in the air, she wore her mask and drifted to sleep.

She didn’t know how long she slept, but what she knew was that as she was sleeping, the system that loved surprising her at different time intervals sounded in her mind. Forcing her to wake up from the beautiful dream she was having.

[Do you want to sign in?]

It had always been such a simple question every time she had already gotten used to it. And the system seemed to be lazy to add a few more words. However, she still liked it. Even when the system said nothing and just gave rewards, she would not ask for more.

Actually, she was curious about what reward she would get while being several thousand meters from the ground.

So, with anticipation, she quickly answered in her mind, ’Sign in!’

[Ding! The host has been rewarded with a 500ml soil fertilizer.]

After saying that, it simply vanished.

Diamond was dumbfounded upon receiving such a reward. Soil fertilizer, since when did the system start giving such rewards?

And why would it give her such a small bottle when her farm was that big? And what uses did it have for the system to reward her with?

She was dying to know more about the fertilizer and what it was capable of, but it wasn’t the right time for her to get into more details.

With so many people who were not sleeping, Diamond didn’t want to look suspicious and find herself being locked up in an asylum and even become an experiment subject.

So instead of collecting the reward, she curbed her interest and waited until she got home.

And that curiosity lasted for a long time.

When the plane landed, Diamond, just like everyone else, went through the customs.

Since Ruby wasn’t there to pick her up as she was busy with work, Diamond hired another Uber to take her to Cherry Court, where her main house was.

From the airport to Cherry Court, it took nearly two hours as there was traffic. However, she was glad to be back home.

The court was peaceful, unlike the Lotus Palace, which was filled with gunpowder that could blow up at any time.

Diamond sighed with relief as she threw her body on the comfortable bed that she had greatly missed.

"It’s good to be back home!" she exclaimed.
