Chapter 81: Chapter 79

Diamond was wowed when she entered the club after dropping her name with the receptionist.

Since Frank had booked a private room, it was very easy for her to be served. And since Frank had dealt with the reservation already, she got in easily.

The club’s interior was top-notch. From the walls, the floors, the expensive furniture, and above all the people inside.

With how people were dressed, Diamond could tell that the club was a place that only the hot shots visited.

Although she saw some gold diggers now and then, most of the people carried a certain aura.

Diamond also saw how different she was dressed when compared to everyone else.

However, that didn’t bother her, for she dressed to impress herself and no other people.

So, without caring about a majority judging gazes, she followed the young lady who was bringing her to the room where Frank was waiting for her.

The room was on the third floor. And the lady dressed in a black-and-white uniform led her straight to the room before leaving.

Diamond knocked lightly on the door before she swaggered inside with a push.

When she entered the room, what welcomed her was a dimly lit room with black and white couches.

Standing inside the spacious room was a man who seemed to be in his forties with a small beard and a well-built body though he was donning a suit.

’So, that’s the man who will be responsible for making me some money!’ she thought as she walked in with a smile.

When Frank saw the person who just walked in, honestly, he was very surprised.

He was already shocked to learn that twenty percent of the company had been sold and, to make it worse, the shares now belonged to a young woman of twenty-five years.

Apart from her name and age, Frank knew nothing about Diamond. He couldn’t find anything at all, and that made him very curious about her.

People who hide their information are people with stories.

And since she could purchase those shares, making her to be one of the major shareholders in Triumph International Limited, she wasn’t simple.

If it was a man whom he was meeting, even if he was eighteen, everything would have been believable. But to think that he was meeting a young woman who didn’t look her age at all, Frank didn’t know where to start.

’Just what kind of encounter did she come across? Which family does she come from?’ he was filled with so many questions, but that was something for another day.

Right at that moment, he needed to deal with the transfer smoothly before spreading the news to the board of directors.

"Welcome, Ms. Perry!" with a polite and welcoming smile on his face, Frank welcomed Diamond.

Diamond didn’t care about the man’s attitude towards her. She wasn’t interested in the company’s operation. As long as her dividends reached her in time whenever they were released, everything else was just noise.

However, as human beings maintaining courtesy was a basic thing, so she smiled back at the man and responded, "Thank you, Mr. Daniels, for welcoming me."

Franks retracted his smile as he motioned for Diamond to take a seat, which she did without making things difficult for him.

Sitting opposite Diamond, Frank just couldn’t read her and since he could, he got straight to the point.

"First, I just want to congratulate you on acquiring twenty percent shares in our company, making you become the third major shareholder!" Frank sincerely congratulated her.

He was the CEO of the company and his job for so many years was to generate money for the shareholders.

He didn’t hate his job, though. In fact, he loved it so much, which was why, despite how he could have started his company and become a boss, he ran Triumph International Limited and led it to success.

In, the many years he had climbed the ladder and worked tirelessly for the company. He had made a good name for himself and enough money as well that if he were to retire today, he would still manage.

So, he didn’t envy anyone who purchased shares of the company that he was running. They were too expensive and only real big shots could afford to do that.

Even if he were to get envious, he would be the only one suffering from sourness.

Diamond smiled politely at the man as her legs were crossed and answered, "Thank you for that. And while we are at that, honestly, I hate going in circles and making a story long while it could be cut short."

Diamond’s sudden response took Frank by surprise, so he worriedly asked, "What do you mean by that?" trying to understand her thoughts.

Women were scary beings, and it was hard to truly understand what they meant.

Picking a glass of water from the table, Diamond responded, "I don’t live in Srad, so don’t worry about me interfering with anything. Operate the way you have been already, and just make sure that you send my dividends in time, otherwise, all hell will break loose."

It quite surprised Frank to hear her say that. He wasn’t expecting her to wash her hands of the company’s management on the first day.

Was she that confident about him and everyone, or not ambitious?

"This_"

"I don’t like trouble, so unless someone dies, and it needs my serious vote, I will remain neutral. I hate it when I am disturbed, so don’t tell anyone about me yet," while placing the water glass back on the table she stated.

Frank felt as if he was receiving continuous blows the more he listened to Diamond. But when he thought of how troublesome it might become, especially for such a young woman like her, if those geezers were to know about her, he acquiesced.

"Sure, I will do it as you wish!" he said.

And since Diamond wasn’t interested in anything more from what he had seen, he decided to not bore her with what he had already prepared.

So, Diamond signed the documents that Frank had brought and everything happened in less than ten minutes.

There wasn’t even time for them to order some food at all and chat some more.

Besides, Diamond didn’t feel like spending a lot of time with Frank. Men like him were troublesome and their calculative minds were the worst.

Besides, the more they talked, the more she might expose herself.

So, when the documents were signed, Frank, who would read the atmosphere, excused himself after he received an urgent call from the company.

Diamond was happy to bid the man farewell, and that left Frank with mixed emotions.

However, Diamond was thrilled for him to leave, for she automatically ordered some food the second he was gone.

’Since I haven’t had my dinner yet, I might as well just enjoy the delicacy of the famous Astrid club!’ she thought happily as she continuously ordered.
