"She is so confident. Can it be that she is indeed innocent?"

Eliza, at that moment, was panicking as what she feared was exactly what was happening.

So instead of playing with what she didn’t know, she was always very careful with the unknown. And unless she was sure of the outcome, she wouldn’t carelessly swear the way that Eliza did.

If it was before when she was at college, she would have accepted the humiliation rather than swearing for during that time, she was indeed relying on a man and her body to improve her life.

But now that was different. She was not only rich because of the system alone, but because she was also willing to work hard.

She was very grateful for that, for if the system had not graced her with its arrival, she wouldn’t be the person she was right now.

Smiling slyly all of a sudden, seeing Eliza’s state, Diamond felt refreshed all of a sudden.

Eliza, on the other hand, felt like dying. She couldn’t explain exactly what happened to her, for she felt something pulling her and then she was lying flat on the floor.

And as if that was not enough, she felt her dress tearing up, which was a shocker.

And when she thought that she could salvage herself from the embarrassment, and rise from the floor to flee. She felt as if someone was sitting on top of her, thus stopping her from moving.

She wanted to scream and yell for help, but her tongue seemed to be clutched by something. It was as if someone was blocking her vocal cords. It felt terrible.

Eliza, who lies on the ground, feels fearful and hateful towards the person who pushed her into that state.

She turned her head to glare at Diamond, the woman she still didn’t know whose name was even until now. The same woman who had put her into such an awkward situation, she flared up more upon seeing that sly smile on her face.

’I will not let you go! You did this to me!’ she screamed inwardly, as she felt very wronged for the injustice she was facing at that moment.

Unfortunately for her, Diamond had great plans for her.

Diamond could tell that Eliza would never suffer more the way she did on that particular day in the future, and she found it a pity. After all, she would be glad to eat more melons watching how Eliza and her vixen of a sister would suffer whether due to her or something else.

And since she had an appointment with Frank later, it was wise for her to tie the loose ends and give Eliza the final blow before doing that.

And since there seemed to be an invisible hand helping her at that very moment and she wasn’t a culprit considering how the masses had witnessed how Eliza had fallen for misfortune on her own without being pushed or anything, she wasn’t worried about getting pointed at.

So, she took a few steps towards Eliza, who looked very angry and yet seemed to be unable to speak for some scary reasons she didn’t want to know.

Everyone watched as Diamond suddenly kneeled on the floor where Eliza was. They all thought that she was going to help the other up and couldn’t help but discuss fervently again.

"She is too merciful. If it was me, I would have left her lying there."

"I think that ugly woman just wanted some pity. Why is she not waking up on her own?"

"I wonder what she is up to?"

Even Eliza was worried about what scheme Diamond had come up with, for she had seen that sly smile earlier and that didn’t sit well with her.

Diamond knelt beside Eliza before reaching her hands towards her.

Eliza wanted to run away but she couldn’t, for whatever force was blocking her didn’t want her going anywhere.

Diamond lowered herself closer to Eliza, with her lips nearly brushing Eliza’s ear.

Eliza was truly scared now, for she was fully aware that Diamond just wanted to piss her off and she wasn’t even afraid of the watching masses.

"Eliza, Eliza, Eliza!" Diamond whispered in a murmur that only Eliza could hear.

And Eliza, hearing her name being spoken out of that hateful person’s mouth, enlightenment finally dawned on her.

’She already knew who I was from the get-go! Just who the heck is she?’

"Blame your s*** of sister. She is the one who sent you into this awkward and unfortunate predicament. And please tell her that D says I will be coming for her!" Diamond passed the message without caring for how Eliza would react.
