Chapter 751: Chapter 749: MAKING FRIENDS 3

Samantha’s eyes widened when she recalled that banquet.

"It can’t be?"

Diamond chuckled helplessly at how the matter started and narrated it without adding spices or removing anything.

When the other three heard that, they were all stunned speechless for a while.

"She can’t be that .... How could she be such a bully?" Essy asked dumbfoundedly, in disbelief at how other people were just so wrong in the head.

Diamond spread her hands helplessly while responding, "She simply thought that I was a nobody. I think that the purpose was to mock Vivian, but then they ended up facing me. I am not one to suffer a loss. I would rather be friendless than surround myself with fake people or flatter others for a living!"

Samantha nodded her head in agreement when she heard that. "Its tiring being like that."

Of course, she didn’t finish what she wanted to say. Only those with capital can afford to live like that. Others would be forced to fawn over others to survive.

When they learnt what transpired between the two, they no longer felt bad for Anne but instead were quite curious about what Diamond would do if Anne continued to cause problems for her.

Thinking about how Anne’s family owned a bank and how she once thought of opening a bank, a sly smile appeared on her face but didn’t dare utter her thoughts. These people knew little about her. Some secrets were meant to be kept and not shared.

So, she simply brushed the matter aside, saying, "I hope that it won’t reach there. For now, if she does anything, I will send her a warning, but if her family support her and keeps on tolerating her nonsense then I can only show my prowess. I am no persimmon, after all."

When they heard that, they all felt that Diamond was too kind-hearted. After all, she was already being lenient. If it was Anne, she wouldn’t show any mercy at all. Their liking for Diamond increased.

The dinner continued peacefully, with everyone getting along pretty well, and it was just the beginning of a weird sisterhood that would cause waves in the future.

Back in Frin City, Ruby took several deep breaths as she looked at the familiar restaurant, she once visited a few times, but fell hard for it.

She had never seen the owner before, but the food was delicious. She was introduced to the restaurant by Kelly when they were discussing the partnership some time ago.

"Lyonheart restaurant," she mumbled the name with a smile as she made her way towards it.

She didn’t understand why Sean and his friends picked the restaurant out of all the restaurants, but whatever the case was, she didn’t mind going there. After all, the restaurant was indeed good.

Besides, as long as she managed to see Waylon, even if it was just once, then she would be satisfied.

"So, here is to mothers near or far,

Whose endless giving knows no cease...."

As she made her way to the restaurant, her phone started ringing, and she hurriedly picked it up with a faint smile on her face, "I am almost there!" without waiting for the other to say a word, she reported her location.

As soon as she said that, a response came, [I will meet you outside!] before the call was hung up.

Ruby smiled wryly as she put her phone back in her handbag while continuing to walk. She was almost there, so what was the point of meeting her halfway?

However, as she thought about that, she saw the door of the restaurant opening and a familiar silhouette emerged.

Seeing him from a distance. She was in a daze for a moment.

It would be a lie if she said that Sean wasn’t good-looking. He was very handsome, with a great height, and looked ideal to her as well. It’s just that when it comes to his friend, Waylon, there is this gentleness that Waylon had that Sean didn’t have.

Sean, at a glance, looked very playful and made people think that he wasn’t a serious person. Such a person, if she brought him home, who knows how mad her family members would go?

Diamond would investigate into his background, and all his ancestors, and that wouldn’t be good.

Of course, she understood that judging the book by its cover was very wrong, but who made her feel wary?

Recalling how Kian looked so good and yet ended up being a scumbag? Ruby didn’t want to risk it.

Of course, she also knew that Waylon might not have her in his heart. After all, she saw how he didn’t show any interest in her back then, but the heart ..... the heart always wants what it wants. What could she do?

Nonetheless, she shook these thoughts out of her mind and plastered a smile on her face as she continued to walk towards Sean, who was waving at her while calling at her, "Ruby! Over here!" as if she wouldn’t be able to spot him.

Seeing him acting like that, Ruby’s eyes softened for no reason and found herself letting out a soft chuckle before responding playfully, "I see you!"

And Sean chuckled heartily at hearing that while meeting her halfway.

As soon as the two were a few feet from each other, Sean stretched his hand towards Ruby as he said, "Give me your bag. I will hold it for you!" his tone was very gentle, making it difficult for her to refuse him.

"Sure!" one shouldn’t hit a smiling person, so she gladly let him take it. If she didn’t, she would embarrass him and that wouldn’t fare well.

Sean accepted the small bag and didn’t feel embarrassed at all.

"Let’s head inside. My friends are waiting!" he said urgingly, a smile on his face.

Ruby noddingly smiled at him before following him at a steady pace.

They didn’t talk much since the restaurant was pretty much close. It didn’t take long before she stepped into the familiar restaurant again.

As soon as she walked in, her eyes couldn’t help but stare towards the kitchen, where she spotted the female chef, she once seen.

’What a beautiful woman!’ she inwardly praised, without looking down on the other person’s profession.

Her sister had taught her pretty well.

"They are over there!" Sean’s voice rang in her ears and she found herself following his hand towards the table where three people were already seated.

Her eyes automatically locked on Waylon, who sat lazily while playing with a phone in hand.

Her eyes softened when she saw him, but quickly calmed down. However, Sean, who was anticipating her reaction, saw that but pretended like he didn’t see it and added, "This is where Waylon works when he is not at school," revealing Waylon’s career on the spot.

And that startled Ruby, who didn’t expect that the young man she was crushing on was working part time at such a small restaurant.

It wasn’t like she looked down on him at all. She didn’t expect that he was a waiter. Why didn’t she see him before?

Her mind was filled with confusion, but still maintained a smile on the surface as she nodded, listening to Sean.

It wasn’t long before they reached the table, and all eyes were on Ruby.

Ruby smiled politely at everyone and her gaze lingered for a while on Sophie, the young girl who caused a fit at the club. She was the catalyst who made her meet these people in the first place.

Sophie scowled at Ruby, not hiding her disdain for Ruby at all, and Ruby pretended to not have seen that.

"Please, take a seat!" Sean offered as he pulled a chair for Ruby.

She smiled politely at him, saying, "Thank you!" and sat down on the chair.

Sean followed suit and sat down next to her. On the other side of Ruby, there was a young man she didn’t recognize, but Sean was very helpful as he introduced everyone once again.

"Ruby, I believe that you have seen these two previously," Sean said as he pointed at Waylon and Sophie. "That’s Waylon and Sophie."

Ruby nodded at Sean before looking at the two and politely greeted, "Hello Waylon and Sophie. It’s a pleasure to see you again!"

Waylon smiled politely at her, his expression soft and gentle. It made her heart race wildly, but she continued to fake calmness.

"It’s a pleasure to meet you again as well," Waylon reciprocated and Sophie, not wanting to be left behind, looked at Ruby and said, "Hello!" without adding anything.

Ruby wasn’t in the mood to deal with this young girl with princess syndrome, so she simply nodded politely and listened to Sean who introduced the last person she was also curious about who she was since the last time, she hadn’t seen the other at all.

"And this guy here is Luke. Sophie’s elder brother. You didn’t meet him the other time," Sean said with a smile.

Ruby looked at the man who was sitting next to her and nodded politely while saying, "It’s a pleasure to meet you, Luke!"

Luke smiled at her, a mysterious glint in his eyes, and responded, "Same here. Been looking forward to meeting you in person," his tone filled with playfulness while taking a glimpse at Sean, who was glaring at him.

Sophie, seeing that, puffed her cheeks angrily but still held herself back and didn’t explode.

Ruby didn’t know what was happening, but simply replied politely, "I hope that I didn’t disappoint!"

"Haha, you haven’t. I am pretty much satisfied!"

"Glad to hear that!" who didn’t know how to play along?
