SIGNING IN: BEING SHOWERED BY HEAVENLY BLESSINGS FOR FIVE YEARS -
Chapter 750 - 748: MAKING FRIENDS 2
Chapter 750: Chapter 748: MAKING FRIENDS 2
After a round of looking around, Diamond found herself standing in front of one of Lady Helena’s paintings and couldn’t help but wonder.
’What really swims around in artists’ minds?’ she just couldn’t understand why someone would paint such a painting.
It was so large and all blue. With so many shades of blue used on one canvas, she was crying for the loss of paint used on it. However, she couldn’t say that out loud lest she offend the older lady.
Just because she didn’t understand, it didn’t mean that she would diminish and look down on other people’s hard work openly. She could only say that in her heart and keep it locked in there.
"Do you like it?" while lost in the blue color, an unfamiliar female older voice rang in her ears, nearly startling her in place.
She patted her chest as she turned her head to look at the ghost which had scared her. Essy wasn’t with her, as some sculpture enthralled her and was busy talking art with a friend over there. Thus, she was by herself. Perhaps because of her mouth’s prowess earlier, no one stood by her side, but she didn’t mind.
So, when that woman suddenly appeared by her side, she was startled since she didn’t expect it.
However, when her gaze finally landed on the other, her eyes widened in surprise, surprised to see the other party here.
When did she come?
And how did she approach her so quietly without her knowing?
Could it be that she was so into the blue color that she completely forgot where she was?
Looking at the kind smile on the other’s face, Diamond could only shake away her shock and smiled politely before greeting, "Hello, Lady Helena," to the host of the exhibit.
Lady Helena smiled at Diamond kindly, liking her more and more.
She had never seen such a young lady with a powerful mouth and character like that. After that fiasco, she looked into Diamond more and what she found was very pleasing to the eyes. Especially after seeing the snippets of yesterday’s broadcast.
Such a fearless young lady! It would have been great if she was that fearless when she was the other’s age. Fortunately, despite all the setbacks, things still went well for her. Otherwise, she wouldn’t be here!
"Diamond, how are you?"
"Hehe, doing fine, my lady and yourself?"
Lady Helena turned to look at the painting with a smile and responded, "It’s great, I suppose!" with a tinge of uncertainty in her tone.
Diamond didn’t respond to that but looked at the painting with a smile. There was a moment of silence between the two for a while before Lady Helena’s voice sounded once again.
"What do you see?"
That question took aback Diamond, but since the elder had asked, she dared to answer honestly.
"Blue."
"Pft~" Lady Helena couldn’t stifle her laughter when she heard that answer. She turned to look at Diamond and when she saw how serious she looked, she didn’t know how to proceed.
Diamond knew that it would end that way, but she couldn’t be blamed. That’s what she could see. So where was she wrong?
"You used all shades of blue. Although I don’t really understand what’s going on here, I can certainly say that the painting is quite hypnotizing," she said sincerely, recalling how the older lady managed to sneak up on her without her knowing.
Lady Helena was at a loss of words honestly when she heard that but seeing the other’s solemn expression, she could only hold her words.
"Then, if you were asked if you could buy it, will you?"
Diamond looked at the older lady with an apologetic smile and shook her head firmly without hesitation, which sent a pang in Lady Helena’s heart. But Diamond at that moment had no idea about her feelings and sincerely responded, "It’s hypnotizing and makes me wonder about so many things. Such a painting will be very disastrous for a busy person like me. If I get lost in thoughts with so much work, wouldn’t I shed tears of blood?"
However, when that was said, Lady Helena suddenly felt soothed as understanding dawned on her.
She didn’t say a single thing but smiled appreciatively at Diamond, and Diamond smiled back before looking at the hypnotizing blue painting once again.
’Such a painting. She would buy her own paint and do it herself. There was no way she would spend a single cent to appreciate such kind of painting. No offence made here, though!’
The two appreciated the painting in silence, and their combination brought gasps from the crowd. They didn’t expect that Lady Helena would not kick Diamond out of the exhibit but even converse with her. Just what kind of lucky charm was Diamond having?
While Diamond was enjoying momentary peace like that, Anne was fuming with anger, ordering the people she knew to look into Diamond and dig out any black material on her.
As for P, she had been kicked away and humiliated before running away with her tail between her legs.
However, whenever they are celebrities and popular people, paparazzi and media friends always happen to linger around.
So that afternoon, the netizens suddenly received free melons and the online community was going wild with the news.
Reading the same news that day was Ruby, who was preparing for the dinner she was going to attend with Sean and the others.
She didn’t expect to see her sister trending again without doing any broadcast.
To think that her sister went to an art exhibit and caused chaos, she couldn’t help but chuckle, thinking that’s what Diamond could do.
However, as she read the several posted articles which tried their best to minimize mentioning Diamond’s name, which she found funny, the gloomier she became.
When did her sister offend that woman? She doesn’t remember her sister talking about her at all. So why were they confronting each other?
She just couldn’t get it.
When she checked the comments, a helpless smile appeared on her face seeing how the JEWELS were fighting and defending Diamond fiercely against black fans and trolls.
To think that there were still people who dared speak ill of Diamond, weren’t they afraid of the divine punishment?
Anyway, seeing that there wasn’t much damage, Ruby’s unsettled heart calmed down. There was no way Diamond would willingly eat a loss. Besides, with Andrea with her, the situation would be controlled.
With that in mind, she continued to rummage through her closet, looking for a decent piece of clothing to wear to the diner.
Although it was casual and not formal, she didn’t dare relax. Leaving a good impression on her crush was the goal.
It took her a great deal before she was satisfied with her choice of clothes. Once that was done, she was ready to leave and have some fun.
Meanwhile, back in the capital city, Essy was feeling as if she was still in a dream.
If anyone had told her that one day she would be seated with some female bigshots and having dinner, she wouldn’t believe it.
However, that very moment, there she was, sitting at a table of four with Diamond, Lady Helena who had invited them to dinner and someone that she had only seen from a distance, Lady Samantha.
However, thinking about how Lady Samantha and Diamond were calling each other sisters so causally like that. And then Lady Helena followed with the casual calling.
In the end, she watched as the three removed any titles. They were happily calling each other, Big sister Samantha, Big sister Helena and younger sister Diamond.
Where had she ever seen people whose age difference was double calling each other intimately like that?
Her worldview seemed to be refreshed every single second, and her CPU was overheating.
"Haha, Big sister Helena, I didn’t think that I would make a new friend and a sister today. Thank you for looking kindly at me!" Diamond raised her wineglass to Helena, who, upon knowing how Diamond and Samantha called each other, was adamant to join as well.
Helena raised her wineglass as well as responded, "It’s fate!"
Samantha smiled at the two, watching them getting closer with every minute. After getting the water pill from Diamond and using it, she saw a great difference, which she was very proud of.
Without using those expensive beauty creams and lotions, her skin had turned for the better. Diamond was truly a gem and a gem that needed protection, though she was certain that it would be them being protected by her and not the other way around.
"But how did you end up provoking that Richard’s girl?" after a while, Samantha couldn’t help but ask.
As far as she was concerned, Diamond wasn’t someone who came to the capital city frequently. So how did the two of them cross paths?
Even Essy was curious about that matter. People don’t just start biting each other for no reason after all.
Thinking about where it started, Diamond looked at Samantha and helplessly asked in reminder, "Do you remember that banquet? The one where we first met?"
