The young man with a calculative smile smirked as he crossed his legs, while looking at the other and teasingly responded, "This is the first time I have seen that your face and name are pretty useful. Don’t you think so, Lon?"

The other person, Lon, raised his head, looked at the young man and scoffed in return, "Sean, don’t try to use me when you are the one who is shameless. When the other party cries in the future, don’t add me there!"

Sean upon hearing that burst into a peal of laughter when he heard that. he looked at his friend and rolled his eyes at him. ’Umph! Just be honest with yourself! Is it Ruby you are worried about or her sister?"

Waylon’s eyes quivered when he heard that, but he quickly calmed himself down and answered as he lowered his head. "Think whatever you want, but remember that if you are not serious about Ruby, then don’t waste her time lest you seek Diamond’s wrath!"

After saying that, he went silent and Sean didn’t tease him again. He looked at his friend with a serious expression, his thoughts unknown.

Meanwhile, back in the capital city, Diamond was all smiles as she sat with Essy in a private room at a certain restaurant, having that lunch she promised yesterday at the manor.

"The food here is tasty!" Diamond praised as she cut the steak on her plate, a satisfied smile blossoming on her face.

Essy’s face flashed with pride when she heard that. She responded cheerfully, "That’s why I brought you here. It is a family restaurant," not hiding the connection at all.

When Diamond heard that, her eyes lit up with surprise. She didn’t expect Essy to bring her to a family restaurant at all. However, seeing how she was so trustful of her establishment, Diamond couldn’t help but give the other a thumbs up.

Having pride and trust in your establishments was the best way to go!

"You should be proud!" Diamond teased Essy with a smile and the other beamed brighter. "Very!" and the both of them burst into a heartfelt laughter.

After some laughter, the lunch continued, and the two couldn’t eat quietly at all. So, they chatted about a lot of things.

"So, what other things do you do? I follow you a lot and have heard about the businesses that you are into, but I have an inkling that it isn’t all!" Essy asked curiously, pure curiosity without any malice in her eyes.

When Diamond heard that, she couldn’t help but look at Essy with a smile. She had adopted the normal approach of not looking deeper into others lest they pose harm or threat to her. That’s why she didn’t investigate Essy deeply. Except knowing the line of business she was in as well as her family background, the rest was unknown.

Looking at Essy, and understanding her previous connection with the manor, she couldn’t help but want to tease the other.

"Um ..... I am involved in a lot of things but I can share with you something that others don’t know for now but probably will, in the future," she cast the bait with a teasing smile, looking at Essy to gauge her expression.

And when Essy heard that, her eyes shone with excitement and she put the fork and knife on the plate, looking at Diamond anticipatingly. "What is it? I swear that I won’t share it with others!" eagerness in her tone.

Diamond chuckled faintly when she saw that and propped her elbows on the table before answering, "It’s the manor. I bought it!"

And fireworks exploded in Essy’s head.

Essy leaned in as her mouth widened open, interest and excitement written all over her face.

"You ..... Diamond, you are not playing with me?" she asked excitedly, stuttering on the way.

Diamond chuckled lightly as she pulled away from the table, amusement in her eyes as she shook her head. "I am not playing with you. Besides, what do I gain from lying?"

Essy’s jaws dropped when she heard that confirmation and looked at Diamond with a worshiping gaze.

"You rock!" Essy gave Diamond a thumbs up, no longer knowing what to say about that situation at all.

She didn’t think that the person who purchased the manor was Diamond. She didn’t even think about it and she doubted if the other fans noticed that as well.

Why was she lowkey?

It wasn’t like anyone would say a single word if she revealed that.

However, when she thought about how secretive Diamond was when it came to many things, Essy found it acceptable.

Besides, there should be reasons why she was being like that. so why should she worry much?

Nonetheless, Essy was sincerely happy for Diamond. That manor couldn’t remain in the family because of how dark it was and the dangers it brought to the family.

It was great seeing that it wasn’t the case anymore. Although she didn’t know how the elders were feeling because of that.

"Why did you open it to the public? Didn’t you think of keeping it a private home?" she was curious about that, however.

Diamond chuckled faintly when she heard that.

"Of course, I wanted to keep it as a private house. However, I asked myself which city I felt comfortable residing in. And the answer was obvious.

I have been living in Frin City for years and that place had become a second home for me. Everything I have and own, I got it when I was there. If I move here, it means that I have to shake that foundation and I didn’t want that.

Besides, I have another house here, so having this one felt like a loss. I also didn’t want to keep the manor empty with only servants. I am not a person who frequents other places a lot. And the thought of wasting all that, I thought of opening a business.

I might as well recoup the money I spent on buying the place. Besides, I kept a villa to myself in case I visited. So, no loss!" Diamond summarized the whole thing to Essy without hiding a single thing.

When Essy heard the ins and outs of the matter, she was speechless. However, after some thought and digestion, she found Diamond’s remarks sensible.

If she were to be asked to move to another city and start afresh, she might not agree. When your roots are deep already, it becomes difficult to uproot them.

"Glad you do! Anyway, what about you? Apart from being a famous blogger and PikPoker, is there anything that you do?" Diamond shifted the topic from herself to Essy.

Essy’s eyes shone when Diamond asked that.

"Hehe, I am in the middle of starting my own brand. Always wanted to have a jewelry and clothing brand," she shared proudly, stars in her eyes that made Diamond beam at the other.

"That sounds very cool. When you make something, don’t forget to tell me!"

The two chatted merrily and talked about a lot of things which revolved around them.

After a while, lunch was over and Essy paid for the meal before the two of them left that restaurant.

"So, where are we going to now?"

Seeing that the day wasn’t anywhere over, Diamond asked anticipatedly as she looked at Essy.

Essy beamed as she looked at Diamond mysteriously, "Hehe, just wait and see! You will not be disappointed!"

And Diamond was amused by the other party’s mysteriousness.

Anyway, as long as Essy doesn’t send her anywhere fishy, she doesn’t mind going anywhere. After all, she hadn’t really toured the capital city to her heart’s content before.
