SIGNING IN: BEING SHOWERED BY HEAVENLY BLESSINGS FOR FIVE YEARS -
Chapter 710 - 708: FAMILY WEEKEND
Chapter 710: Chapter 708: FAMILY WEEKEND
After the hearty breakfast, those who wanted to freshen up once more before leaving headed to their respective rooms, and Diamond was one of them.
For the family outing, with everyone’s input, the schedule was already made. She just needed to dress the part.
There wasn’t going to be an outdoor event today, so she happily picked a floral dress and flat shoes. No matter what, dressing appropriately with her parents was something that should be done.
Although it was hot and she felt like wearing something else, she needed to respect her beloved father, so she opted for a dress. The kind that reached the dress and didn’t expose the thighs.
She also picked a pretty backpack and stuffed some necessities inside. She didn’t forget her signet and storage ring. Those two always follow her everywhere she goes.
She didn’t forget to pick a hat and a mask. It would be crazy if this outing got sabotaged because she got recognized.
It would be great if she could use the grimoire mask to hide her identity, but that would force her to explain how it worked and where it came from. If she had explained it before, then it would have been easy to use.
Anyway, she ended up not taking it out in the end.
After dolling herself, she picked up the car keys for the SUV, which was bigger to carry everyone before leaving the room.
She didn’t go downstairs but headed for the underground garage where she drove the SUV out and found the family members already exiting the villa.
It’s been a very long time since the family had such days, so everyone was quite excited.
In the car, there was cheerful chattering and laughter all the way.
She didn’t need to record anything about today. She just let herself enjoy and had a great time.
The first thing on the agenda was a movie. Instead of waiting until evening for one, the family decided to have one early. There wouldn’t be a lot of people during that time.
And that decision was the right one, as when they entered the cinema, it was just them four and a few other customers. It was empty but nice.
With buckets of popcorn and soda to snack on, while watching the movie, the four didn’t have anything to worry about.
To avoid any disturbances on this day, she made sure to instruct Andrea before they departed to not have anyone disturb her unless there was someone dying.
She didn’t want any distractions while spending time with her family.
Living in an era where phones couldn’t be put down, Diamond just wanted to stay clear from her phone, even if it was just for a moment.
The movie was great and everyone left the cinema with smiles on their faces, relishing how nice and wonderful the movie was. They didn’t waste their three hours at all.
After the movie, the family of four went to a nice restaurant where they enjoyed a sumptuous lunch in a private room.
After lunch, they resumed their schedule, where one of them was taking family portraits. It’s been a very long time since that was done. So, they were quite eager.
While the family was having a great time, Andrea was having a headache.
Diamond and Ruby were no longer people who could go anywhere without being recognized. Just because people didn’t scream their names didn’t mean that they weren’t seen.
Despite wearing hats and masks to cover themselves, they were still recognized. A lot of people took their photos and posted them. Fortunately, they kindly blurred the faces of Ma and Pa Perry, otherwise, it would have been disastrous.
Other fans were eager to take a closer look at the sisters, but the majority were kindly advising the eager ones to not take such a risk. After all, they could all see that it was a family outing. If they dare mess up her wonderful time with her family, who knows how Diamond would react?
So, they could only follow from a distance while continuing to take photos and feed the hungry fans, who were eager to see the news.
At the same time, the recent interviews Diamond did were brought to life and people were discussing it as well.
Of course, where there is something good, evil would always show up. There were some bold accounts appearing mentioning unruly things, but since Andrea didn’t get any instructions, he could only mark these accounts and trace them to see if anyone was seeking trouble.
And through his investigations, he found quite a lot of disturbing news. His data head was aching and all he wanted to do was inform his mother. Unfortunately, for this day, she even put aside the earbud, so he couldn’t contact her easily like before.
Diamond only learnt about the news when she was at home and in her room after the family parted.
{Mother, what do you want me to do with these people?}
Diamond found these people very pathetic, but she understood them. Once upon a time, she was one of those pathetic people who found closure by abusing others through the screen.
"Just let them. As long as they don’t go far, we will ignore them. We can’t shut everyone’s mouth. Can we?" she was very calm about it.
If it was before, she would have gone nuts, but she was maturing with each passing day.
Wouldn’t Andrea’s efforts be wasted if he continued to fight with trolls and even risk getting exposed?
Her son was very precious. She didn’t want anyone even suspecting that he existed.
{Okay, I will do it like that, but what about those socialites? Do you want to just let them go like that?}
Diamond snickered when she heard that. Since when was she that benevolent?
"Hehe, don’t worry about them. I won’t fight using the screen. I prefer slapping faces in person. Besides, I have a feeling that we will be meeting soon. We just need to wait patiently until the invitation is sent to us."
{What if it doesn’t come?}
Diamond broke into laughter when she heard that. Her eyes were pooling with tears.
"Hehe, if that happens ...." She suddenly stopped midway as her eyes narrowed dangerously, a sinister smile hanging on her lips. "I will show them how a vengeful ghost holds grudges!"
And Andrea’s data body shuddered as he thought to himself, ’I knew it. How could my mother be benevolent all of a sudden?’ but he liked it.
At least this version of his mother was more courageous and tenacious, unlike the one he saw when he came into existence back then.
To him, as long as she was capable of defending herself, protecting herself and being happy all the time, it didn’t matter how she did it.
He was all in for anything.
As for those shameless socialites who knew to use the masses without facing others directly, he would keep a folder of all their black materials.
Who knows? It might be handy pretty soon.
He couldn’t help but get excited as he thought about it.
The future looked promising. He looked forward to it.
