Diamond reached home safely and was in a great mood.

After threatening Donald directly through a medium, her mood was uplifted. She had never really stood for herself in front of him before. So doing that, even though a bit late, was worth it.

When she got home, it was around 11 pm and her parents were very much awake as well as Ruby, whom she hadn’t seen in a very long time.

"Sis!" Ruby cheerfully greeted as soon as Diamond walked into the house.

Diamond beamed upon seeing the younger sister, who had become very rare to even see. They were both busy and, despite living in the same city; it was difficult to see each other.

"Ruby! You have slimmed!" Diamond couldn’t help but point out as she hugged Ruby.

Ruby sheepishly smiled as she separated from her sister after the hug and said, "The assignments are just too many. Can’t help it!"

Diamond pitifully shook her head as she looked at her younger sister.

It was indeed that period of crazy assignments. There was nothing that she could do to help in such a matter. It was a one-man matter. Only Ruby could save herself.

Ruby, seeing her sister acting like that, couldn’t help but chuckle lightly finding her very cute.

It wasn’t a secret that her sister didn’t really like studying. So, it looked normal seeing her acting in such a manner.

"Don’t worry, sis. I am done with most of the assignments. I don’t have any this weekend. So, I am free!" Ruby couldn’t help herself and shared that with her sister.

When Diamond heard that, there was a light in her eyes.

"That’s good. Remember to rest more," Diamond reminded and didn’t forget to take a mental note to give her younger sister some of those brain-nourishing pills.

Ruby needed them more than her. She couldn’t let her baby sister suffer so much like that.

After the pleasant reunion between sisters, Diamond went to her parents and greeted them warmly.

They hadn’t seen each other for a longer period for a while now, so it felt good seeing each other before sleeping.

Diamond ate her supper, which Auntie Janet had kept warm for her while she conversed with the family.

Around midnight, everyone was feeling sleepy. So, they bade each other goodnight before going to their respective bedrooms.

Before Diamond went to hers, she met with Garnet, who gave her the materials she requested.

Looking at the bountiful materials, Diamond didn’t feel good at all as she thought of the hard work, she would need to put into concocting more tea pellets.

However, when she thought of the money flowing in again, she pushed away such thoughts and decided to work hard in her pursuit of earning money.

Once she was in her room, Diamond took a shower and lounged in bed as she looked at the information about Razor and others. She didn’t get to read but listened to a summary of from Andrea.

She wasn’t sleepy, to be honest, and since it was also the first day of the second year of having the system, she was feeling too excited.

Diamond read through the information for more than an hour until she was feeling a bit drained.

She put the tablet to the side and took out some food from the storage ring and water. She gulped down the food and felt much better.

Her body needed energy to convert and, with her being awake at such a time, she became like that.

She understood that eating snacks at night wasn’t good for the body, though it didn’t apply to her. So, she planned on resting now that she had read much about what she wanted to know.

There was the family outing which needed to be prepared for again later, so resting early was a must. Although she was a cultivator, it hadn’t reached the extent that didn’t require her to not sleep.

She still needed her beauty sleep. With that thought in mind, she prepared to sleep, but the universe had other thoughts for her.

As she was about to sleep, that sounded in her mind, jolting her awake and chasing away any sleepiness that was about to descend on her.
