SIGNING IN: BEING SHOWERED BY HEAVENLY BLESSINGS FOR FIVE YEARS -
Chapter 701 - 699: HER RUTHLESSNESS
Chapter 701: Chapter 699: HER RUTHLESSNESS
On his way back home, Donald didn’t relax but began to think seriously, frame by frame, about anything that he might have overlooked.
If he hadn’t offended anyone, then someone was eyeing his position or looking forward to causing friction in his family.
If Alaine wasn’t pregnant and he didn’t know about her love for him, she would be his greatest suspect, but she didn’t have time for anything like that.
He thought about the people he was always at odds with and shook his head. Maybe it was someone from the company. How did they find such detailed information?
However, when he got home and found Alaine sitting on the sofa, holding his tablet, and her expression was very dark. He suddenly had a foreboding feeling.
Could it be .....? He hurriedly shook his head in denial but then, when Alaine snickered as she looked at him, her expression so mocking that it irked him to the fullest and mocked him, "tsk, tsk, tsk. To think that until now, you haven’t moved on and are still stalking her. Do you think that she would even bother with you?"
Donald clenched his fists as he strides towards Alaine, whom she knew had nagged to find what he had been trying to hide for a while now.
"You are the one who threw her away back then. You are the one who trampled on her heart and made her a fool. Do you think that you are worth it in her eyes?
Haha, your measly money wouldn’t even look appetizing in her eyes. Donald, I advise you to get rid of your nasty thoughts about her. She will never get back to you.
If you dare continue harassing her, hehe, don’t forget what she is good at. She is no longer that weak and pathetic Diamond whom you could do whatever you wanted with her!"
Every word was filled with spite as she threw the tablet to him.
Donald caught the tablet and looked furiously at Alaine, whom he couldn’t even berate lest he affect the baby.
He could only glare at her before marching out of the living room, accompanied by her sinister laugh.
As he walked away, he couldn’t help but digest the words Alaine had just spoken and suddenly froze on the spot.
Could it be that it was her who was dealing with him?
Did she perhaps find out about what he recently did?
Donald panicked as his thoughts veered in that direction.
With panic and dread filling, him, he hurriedly took out his phone and made a call. However, the call wasn’t going through and that had never happened before.
He continued trying repeatedly, but no one was available, and a sense of dread started washing over him.
Donald slumped in his study chair as his heart pounded crazily and his mind was in turmoil as he denied that possibility.
There was no way she could be the person involved in such matters. However, he couldn’t help but recall how she dealt with him back then when he messed with her.
Although she showed mercy to him, she caused a lot of damage to the market account holders, who smeared her name online.
If she could do that back then, what would stop her from making a move now?
Unfortunately, he couldn’t get in contact with her. Otherwise, he would be shameless and ask.
However, just because he couldn’t reach her didn’t mean that she couldn’t.
As he was in such a state, his printer started printing something.
He was jolted out of his thoughts by the noise of the printer and stood up confused, wondering what kind of supernatural event was happening.
However, when he saw the printed sheets written, [Let this be the last time you will provoke me, Donald. If you dare try it again, I will expose so much about you that you will become a pauper overnight. And don’t overthink much about why I am kindly sparing you. I doubt the people you sent will show the same mercy as I did.]
’It’s her!’
He didn’t need to think much about who was sending this in such a matter. The moment he read the first statement and considered the small things he had been doing, he knew instantly.
He tried calling those people but failed to reach them. It meant that they had been dealt with already and were probably busy saving their skins.
She had dealt with him in the most humiliating way anyone could come up with. What he disliked after becoming an adult was being suppressed by his father.
Listening to his father’s disappointment in him all the time made him feel inferior. It made him want to trample on others when he was young, to be honest.
That was another reason why he felt joy in tormenting Diamond back then. The way she relied on him and tolerated anything that he did to her made him feel superior. At the same time, it made him loathe her a lot.
How could he be with someone so weak-willed and a pauper?
In the end, he picked Alaine. She was good in many ways, despite not being too rich herself.
At least she was good at making him feel like the man he was supposed to be.
But who would have known that in just four years, Diamond would bloom like that and become a person he couldn’t even see or reach?
He had tried to contact her in any way possible, but she always blocked him. How could he be happy to be treated in such a matter by a woman?
As a result, when he heard about the races, he plotted and decided to deal with Diamond once and for all. But never in a million years did he guess that he would be the one eating a loss and not her.
Not only did she discover the plot, but she dealt with everyone on the same day. Could it be that everything that he was doing, she was keeping an eye on it?
He couldn’t help but shudder when he thought about it.
His back was drenched in cold sweat, and the paper in his hand was shaking. He looked at his worthless hand and laughed mockingly.
He felt like a joke as he looked at that warning once again.
He had an inkling that his life was about to be turned upside down after this, but that didn’t hurt much than the thought of her hating him so much to the extent of humiliating him like this.
He had been having a one-sided wishful thinking all this time. What a fool he was!
It was too late to regret his actions. All he could do now was find means of mitigating whatever losses he was about to incur, as well as any vengeance from the other side.
It was a long night, and one that didn’t keep him alone awake but a lot of them.
As for what the future holds, they would all be experiencing it together.
After all, didn’t they say that sharing is caring?
