SIGNING IN: BEING SHOWERED BY HEAVENLY BLESSINGS FOR FIVE YEARS -
Chapter 70 - 68
Chapter 70: Chapter 68
Returning to the room. Diamond was no longer as gloomy as she was before but looked very approachable.
And when she walked into the room, all the eyes were on her again. Instead of harassing people the way she did when she first arrived. She just flashed a harmless smile at them, but those people all knew that was a façade.
Diamond had indeed shown them a new side of hers that they would never forget in their life no matter what.
"Since you are back, then it’s fine. How about we all go out for a walk? We can’t finish the party indoors!" Queen suggested as soon as Diamond was seated.
Diamond looked at Kian with query in her eyes but the other simply nodded his head at her in assurance. So, she flashed a smile at him, making the girls who had failed to flirt with Kian burst with envy.
"Sure. It’s a bit stuffy being inside," Diamond agreed, for it was indeed very true.
"Sure."
Agreeing to that, everyone started to pack their belongings and, in the process, the door was opened again and Lisa entered.
However, her eyes were red and puffy. And it was visible that the other had cried and suffered injustice.
Seeing Lisa in that way, some people couldn’t help but look at Diamond with accusatory eyes.
As for Diamond, she ignored the gazes and whispered a few things to Kian, who smiled brighter the more she whispered.
Ten minutes later, Queen, the host, fully paid the bill and all of them left the room walking in pairs or small groups.
Since Diamond didn’t have any good friends, she naturally walked with Kian, who held her arm like a gentleman and shielded her from any lustful and lecherous gazes of uncultured men.
"Were you the one that made her cry?" Kian was curious about that, so he asked her as they tagged behind everyone.
Diamond chuckled after hearing that, but she still responded, for she didn’t mind showing Kian some of her nasty sides.
Since she liked the man more and more, she needed him to know that she wasn’t perfect and sometimes that she would go completely insane when provoked.
Since she wasn’t planning on legally getting married or serving a mother-in-law in the future. And was planning on bringing a few sons-in-law for her parents. She found it no need to pretend to be someone who she wasn’t.
Just because she should be charitable didn’t mean that she should be a saint too and tolerate whatever gets thrown her way. She wouldn’t accept that, no matter what.
"I just told her my opinions of ideas that we don’t match with. And it seemed that she really was touched by them," without batting an eye, Diamond uttered rubbish.
Kian chuckled upon hearing that. For her words made sense. She was strong-willed and from the way she acted from the beginning, he knew that she wasn’t the kind that would allow herself to be bullied.
He didn’t fully understand the reason why she suffered before, but he was glad that she could now protect herself. His heart was already aching upon thinking of what she had gone through before. And if she were to go through that again, he would shed blood.
"Umm, that’s good. If they don’t listen, remember that I will always be there for you!" Kian reminded, as he truly wanted Diamond to know that he would never leave her, no matter what.
She raised her head to look at the man that knew the right words to say to her, which made her flutter. A man who had made her heart flutter from the word go. Protected her and showered her with so much affection without asking for much, she felt blessed.
"I will not forget about that!" she pinched his arm as she said that softly.
Smiling at her as he tapped her nose with his finger, he said, "That’s good then."
Vevco resort was very large and had so many entertainment facilities. As long as one had the money, it was very easy to enjoy oneself.
So, the group of classmates made their way to the outside bar where other guests were mingling, dancing, and having fun.
And since that was no longer a group activity, every single person was going to pay for their own drinks. Something that they all agreed on.
However, some could tell that this was just another pit dug for certain people, and a means of trying to dig deeper for information.
Diamond saw the cozy outside bar where ladies were dressed beautifully, sexily, and trying to attract the attention of many. She couldn’t help but smile sincerely.
In life, it is bad to judge others despite the reasons behind it.
Life was already hard and people should just learn to mind their own business at times, and live as they deem fit.
"This place is very lively!" Diamond praised as she sat on the chair that Kian had pulled for her.
"Indeed, it is," Kian agreed with her on that, as he looked at the different types of people having fun, without regard for anything.
"What do you want to drink?" Kian asked as he looked at her.
"Umm, I don’t want any more alcohol. We are driving, so get me some water or juice if it’s there!" Diamond answered sincerely for she truly no longer wanted to drink despite having taken the sober drink earlier.
"Sure!" as his woman’s slave, Kian was fine with whatever choice she made.
So, under the watchful gaze of many. Kian left for the bar where he returned moments later holding two glasses of lemon water, shocking the hell out of the curious classmates who wanted to see the two-splurging money.
"Ptuii, I told you. Those two are paupers and paper tigers. If they had money, would they buy the cheapest beverage of all when there are still so many to choose from?"
"Hehe, the night is still young. Let’s wait and see how it will go. There are still many chances for us to see what they are up to."
While they were busy concerned about Diamond’s welfare, she was busy doing something very important under the guise of sobering up.
Since the two were still in the getting-to-know-each-other stage. Diamond was still curious about a lot of things, and she wanted to know more.
If it worked, she wanted to jump onto the man before she left. After all, she only had one day remaining. On Monday, she would be returning to Frin and get busy again.
She didn’t want to leave with any regrets related to someone that she desired strongly.
And since none of them were chaste, why bother to try to make things difficult when they were both adults?
