Chapter 693: Chapter 691: A LOVE INTEREST

At the thought of such an addition to her backyard, Diamond became too excited. Before she knew it, she had the group settle somewhere close to where that group was.

As long as she could peep at the young man, she was good. She couldn’t help but feel thrilled, thus her current actions.

Thinking about the sunny young man, she couldn’t help but take a glimpse at him and she regretted it.

At that moment, the young man was listening to the other female next to him and a smile was on his face. He looked radiant, but that was because of someone else.

How could she continue smiling after seeing that?

She started feeling as if her happiness had been squashed before she could even have a celebratory dance.

Could it be that she was attracted to people with their own people?

Dean was someone like that. She fell for him and wanted to be with him, but alas; he had a girlfriend he planned to get married to. She didn’t know how he was since she didn’t talk to him that much.

Her heart would hurt if she did so. Wyatt and Nolan were still paying buddies, but she had never heard about any lovers outside, which gave her hope that one day in the future, her wish would be realized.

If she knew that Wyatt was carrying a torch for Nolan, she might faint at the spot. Thankfully, she was still in the dark.

If she knew that Nolan was carrying a torch for someone else again, it would take her a long time to recover.

That left her with Gael, who hadn’t expressed his feelings yet. Although she was certain that he might be interested, until the words were spoken, there would always exist that, ’if’. After all, Gael was someone who was directed to her through his mother. Who knows if he was being serious or being influenced by his mother?

She would need to observe and hear his intentions when they meet in April.

In summary, she didn’t have anyone at all, and that was worrisome. It’s been a long time since she found someone else, she felt interested in and attracted to. And yet the person ended up smiling at someone else.

How could she continue being happy?

Wyatt and others couldn’t understand what was going on with Diamond. One second, she was happy, and the next, she wasn’t. She looked so gloomy and scary that none of them dared to ask her what was going on.

Badum. Badum. Badum.

Meanwhile, Waylon’s heart was thumping loudly as he stood there, just several meters from her.

From where he stood, he could see her side profile and, to be truthful, that was the closest he had ever been to her since he saw her.

Seeing her on the screen and in person was entirely different. It was even more fatal when she locked her gaze with him and smiled brightly. He felt as if the cupid had shot an arrow at him.

The way she smiled, her eyes shone and looked radiant. His heart raced and those thoughts he had been trying to suppress surfaced.

He knew that it was wrong for him to act like that and yet he found himself being drawn to her like a moth every single time.

When he thought about what she was talking about with Wyatt and his friends, how they were close and called each other intimately. Something that he saw during her broadcasts. He felt sour. But he asked himself, ’Why should he feel like that? And as what or who again?’

What gave him the right to feel sour or jealous? She wasn’t anyone to him and he was taken.

Suddenly, Waylon found himself disgusting and laughable when those thoughts surfaced in his mind.

"Lon, do you want to sit over there?" Mercy asked softly as she nudged his elbow.

That question jolted him back to reality. He smiled at her as he responded, "Sure. It’s time we sit. The race is about to sit," unaware that his smile at that moment was seen by Diamond, who had a mental shutdown instantly.

Mercy beamed at Waylon and urged the others to find their seats. Shortly, the group was seated, with Mercy sitting next to Waylon and on her side were Sean, Sophia, and Luke.

The five of them sat there without attracting too much attention, being low key, but several people who knew them couldn’t help but take a glimpse at them, wondering why they came today of all days.

Meanwhile, Waylon’s palms were sweating. Where he was sitting, he was separated from Diamond by a few people. He could hear what her group was talking about, but he couldn’t hear her voice.

And he was too cowardly to take a look at her as well. He could only look in front and watched the race dazedly, his thoughts completely elsewhere.

As for Mercy, seeing Waylon like that, she couldn’t help but look to the side where Diamond was. Seeing her surrounded by those ..... she had always hated people from such filthy backgrounds.

She didn’t even want to be associated with them at all. Seeing how Diamond was so at ease being surrounded by those people, despite the money she had, Mercy couldn’t help but look down on her as well.

She didn’t have class and someone like Waylon was out of her league.

So, what if Waylon had some interest in her? She would never know!

With a snort, she shifted her focus back to the race and started watching earnestly.

Diamond’s senses were super. Despite not looking in his direction, she could still see what she didn’t like.

For example, that girl leaning on her love interest. Was she really his girlfriend?

She couldn’t help but wonder.

However, while she was in contemplation, wishing for her race to start soon, a smile suddenly blossomed on her face when she overheard the young girl in her love interest group asking the one sitting next to the man she marked.

"Mercy, when will you introduce us to your boyfriend? I have never heard you talking about him. Or you don’t have?"

And that was enough for her to blossom like a flower as she thought to herself, ’I might have a chance!’
