Chapter 685: Chapter 683: FRIENDLY CHAT

Mike smiled wryly at Diamond as he pondered over what she had just said.

"Hehe, it’s not like I have done something like before. I wanted to be equipped fully before getting into anything!"

Diamond smiled as she looked at him and answered him, "I understand and get you. You don’t necessarily have to know everything about what you will be doing. Knowing the basics is enough, that way you won’t be cheated.

I have the farms and know what I need to know, but the rest is left for Cain. That’s why I hired him. If I must know everything and do it personally, then what would be the point or use of having people work for me?"

"Diamond’s words are right. For some of these things, it’s better to leave it to the professionals. We just need to make sure that we are equipped with knowledge that is necessary so that we won’t be cheated."

"It makes sense. If there is anything else I need to know, I will learn it along the way."

"Now you are talking. So, what will you do now, Mike?"

Mike’s brows rose as his lips tugged upwards, "look into farms and see if I can find one close!" his tone was very determined.

Diamond raised her thump at him, making him chuckle at ease.

After the gang dealt with Mike’s matter, Diamond asked the rest about what they were up to.

She now knew about Wyatt and Mike, so she was curious about the other three.

With food at the table and enjoying the meal while the races were still ongoing, the group of six moved to the next person.

"I had a chat with my family and it was chaotic. Got a few bruises as well, hehe, but I can proudly inform you guys that I will be looking for a good location to open the club." that was Brian sharing his side of the story.

Diamond gave him a thumbs-up when she heard that. He was truly a strong character. To go and confront the elders and boldly share his dreams. He was truly determined.

"That’s quite brave of you. I am in awe of you," Diamond sincerely said, smilingly.

It wasn’t easy to do so, to be honest. Who knows if it was just a few bruises? There would be no way they would agree easily without Brian sacrificing anything.

Anyway, as friends, they just needed to support him right now and be happy. As for asking for other things, that should be left until he was ready to talk about it personally. That was if there was a deal made. If there was none, then it was even better.

Chris, on the other side, shared how he was in the preparation stage and taking his time. He didn’t want to startle the snake. His family wasn’t easy to deal with.

Diamond felt bad for him. He was a man and acted like that, proving how authoritarian the family was. If a male was suffering like that, she could imagine how bad it would be for the females.

Apart from Wyatt, who was from the six big families, the rest came from other influential families, which ranked in the top twenty rich families in the city.

If they were like that, she could imagine how bad the kids in those six big families would be having. They wouldn’t even have any right to even drink the kind of water that they liked.

The price of living an affluent life was truly something that she couldn’t even bear. At this moment, she was grateful that she didn’t succeed in seducing a rich man to become his wife.

When she thought of how Alaine was suffering with that bastard ex of hers, she was grateful. It was better to be the rich person than to rely on the rich person.

The last person was Dan, who was in the process of getting quotes and looking for the right location to open his garage.

"I shared my thoughts with my mother. She said she would cover for me but if I don’t bring the desired results in the time frame she gave me, I should completely give up!"

Diamond felt even sorrier for him. It was one thing having support but being doubted that panged the heart.

However, seeing that all of them were moving ahead and following their dreams, she was happy in the end.

Although she didn’t get to spend money, the fact that she had a share in what was happening today, she was filled with a sense of achievement.

"I am glad to hear that from you guys. I wish you all the best, and remember if you need any help, then call me. I will always be here!"

"Hehe, if we need help, we will come to you."

"For now, let us try this and see if we can do it. We can’t just give up on ourselves before trying!"

Diamond agreed to those words when she heard them. She didn’t continue making things difficult for them.

After the meal ended, the group of six started making their way to the stands. Since the races were not yet done, it didn’t hurt to watch them seriously.

On their way to the stands, while chatting and laughing, Diamond got a call from Raize, who was curious about where she was. She told her where she was, and Raize gave her a location to go to.

As a result, the six of them headed in that direction.

When Diamond finally reached where Raze was, she was surprised to see new faces, which she hadn’t seen before.

Raize smiled at her and exchanged greetings with Mike and the other three. After that, she introduced her to the people she was with.

"Diamond, these three are quite the good racers we have in the club. They are ..."

Diamond smilingly nodded at the three, wondering what was so special about them that she had to be introduced. However, when she heard Raize saying, "They were wondering if you want to race tonight or tomorrow? They are quite curious about how fast the Cagda is!"

When she heard that, she smiled wryly at the three, wondering if they were here to cause trouble.

Why didn’t they ask if she knew how to race? Driving and racing were two different things altogether. So, what was that?

However, an answer was still needed, so she responded, "I didn’t make any preparations tonight. I just came to have a look, but if you want to race, then how about we try tomorrow? I have never raced before, so I might be lacking!" while looking at the three.

When the others heard that, they couldn’t help but twitch.

’Aren’t you someone speeding now and then on the roads with your sports cars? How can you say that you don’t know how to race?’ however, they couldn’t say that out loud.
