Chapter 682: Chapter 680: ZOOM CLUB 3
"Is your promise to join the club still there?" reminding Diamond of what she promised the day she sought their help on the day she was being followed.
Diamond looked smilingly at the four who were doing their best to make her join.
"If I didn’t plan to join, you wouldn’t see me here. So, what do you want me to do?" she asked playfully as her gaze kissed everyone present in the office.
The four didn’t feel bothered at being looked at like that. Rather, they were quite happy when they heard her agreeing.
Maya rose to her feet with a smile and walked towards Diamond with a file she was holding.
Diamond wondered what the other was up to, but when the file was suddenly in front of her, a melodious voice rang in her ears, stating, "Please look at the documents inside. If you are satisfied, then please sign. It’s the registration forms!" she understood what was going on.
She looked at Wyatt, who nodded at her, and that put her at ease.
She shifted her focus to the file and started reading the documents seriously. However, for those watching, all they could see was Diamond scanning quickly as if she was just browsing but not reading and flipping the pages.
Watching all that, the four suddenly had a scary thought, ’Was she not taking this seriously or what?’
However, unknown to them, she was being serious. She read every single word typed and made sure to understand what was written before moving on.
The forms generally required her name and contact details and asked what kind of member she wanted to join as.
Just like any other club, ZOOM club lived on memberships from the members. So, as a member, she was required to pay her subscription and participate in events.
The good thing about events such as certain races which occurred all the time throughout the year was that whatever money is gathered through betting, the member could acquire it.
Betting was allowed, and in some serious races, cars were put on the line. Although unless it’s serious, no one dares to do such a thing.
They simply bet on money, projects and other things.
Diamond checked the subscription she would need to pay, and she nearly rolled her eyes.
There were different tiers of membership, and each tier had its own benefits. However, looking at everything, Diamond wasn’t interested at all. She wasn’t someone who loved to race. She didn’t want to make her family worry for nothing.
At the same time, having a sportscar and not speeding in it didn’t feel right. She might want to race once in a while, but not all the time. She didn’t have the time.
So, the lowest tier was good for her. However, when she recalled something important, like her face, reputation and the possibility of making connections with these scions from rich families, she decided to not be calculative.
In the end, when she was filling out the form, she picked the highest tier with the most expensive membership. At least with it, she could use the racecourse whenever she wanted, as long as she calls in advance.
Besides, the subscription wasn’t that much now that she thinks about it, when comparing it to the money she gifts her fans whenever she is in a good mood.
Seeing her picking the highest tier, the four were happy and relieved. Although it might not seem like a lot of money, for those who rely on it, it was a lot.
Diamond filled out the form, and Maya, the efficient secretary, took the forms and disappeared for a while.
During her disappearance, Raize took it upon herself to ask if Diamond understood everything. Diamond answered truthfully, and Raize was happy to elaborate more.
"The money earned from subs is usually used on maintaining the racecourse, paying salaries and entertaining any guests.
The racecourse relies on subs from memberships, rental fees from other people who aren’t racers and car repair services."
The more Diamond listened, the more she liked her option of choosing the highest. If the money was being used according to what she was hearing, then it was worth it.
Of course, she understood that people nowadays don’t do anything for free. Just like herself, though she didn’t want to admit it. If it wasn’t for the agreement with the system, she wouldn’t be so serious about charity.
Of course, she didn’t get into charity because of it since before meeting the system; she was giving as much as she could.
If she doesn’t give wholeheartedly, she will lose everything that she has. She couldn’t handle that.
If she could do that, why wouldn’t Raize, Mike, Kevin and Maya have a purpose in doing all that?
She just hoped that they weren’t embezzling a lot of money through this. It would be disheartening.
While they were talking, Maya reappeared and walked to her side.
She gave her a card, which she recognized at a glance. It looked similar to the kind of cards one would show off at high-end clubs.
That was her membership card. Every time she comes to the racecourse, she just needs to show it. Of course, people could easily recognize her and so forth, but having it was advantageous.
She could use the membership number to log into the club’s website and keep up to date with everyone.
In some 4S shops, the card was useful and could earn the member a discount. It wasn’t useless; she surmised after listening to everything.
Once that was done, she was happy to listen to Kevin as he happily said, "Welcome to the club and thank you for joining," with cheerfulness in his tone.
Diamond shook hands with Kevin, liking the president more and more. He wasn’t talkative and didn’t put on any airs. So how could she not like him?
Raize seeing that everything had been settled, clapped her hands with a smile and said, "Now that Diamond you are officially part of the family, it is time for us to join the others!" as she looked outside through the window where several cars were racing fiercely in the track.
Diamond, upon seeing that, nodded her head, her eyes sparkling with interest. She had never seen a race before. That bastard ex-boyfriend of hers didn’t take her to any races. He brought that traitorous vixen with her while she was the kind of girl to be brought to clubs.
So, being able to see other people racing, she was looking forward to it.
Everyone left the office while talking and laughing.
