SIGNING IN: BEING SHOWERED BY HEAVENLY BLESSINGS FOR FIVE YEARS -
Chapter 660 - 658: MYSTERIOUS SEED
Chapter 660: Chapter 658: MYSTERIOUS SEED
After leaving the hotel, Diamond didn’t bother to meet with the hotel’s CEO or the directors, who were eager to see her.
What would be the point of meeting them when she wasn’t in the mood to see them?
So, after she was done with Raya, she drove straight home, which wasn’t her actual plan in the first place.
It was a Sunday and Diamond had planned earlier to drop by Ruby’s place and see how the young girl was faring since she hadn’t seen the other for a while now.
Unfortunately, the mysterious seed happened, which took all her focus. As a result, she drove straight home.
When she got there, her parents weren’t at home. They have taken Auntie Grace, who would be leaving Frin tomorrow instead of the day she previously told her.
Since she wasn’t free, her parents took Auntie Grace to the farm to let her see the farm as well as find a few things for her to bring over to her place.
There was only her at home, and Auntie Janet had also left the house in the morning. She would be returning tomorrow. So, she was home alone.
Diamond flashed into the Golden Space once she got into her bedroom with the seed in hand.
As soon as she entered, the fairy space appeared in front of her with sparkling eyes. Seeing that kind of look on her, Diamond had an inkling that she was holding a treasure.
Only treasures make the fairy react like that.
"Do you know what kind of seed it is?" Diamond asked directly without exchanging any greetings with the fairy.
The space fairy looked at her affectionately, which was very rare, and she shuddered as goosebumps appeared all over her body.
’What is this person scheming now?’ she wondered as she took several steps back, but the fairy was very determined as she stretched her hand towards her.
Knowing that she wanted the seed, Diamond passed the box to the fairy since she didn’t want to face the affectionate fairy. She might lose a few years if she continues being showered with such affection.
When the space fairy took the box, she smiled at Diamond before starting to walk away as she answered her, "I don’t know what kind of seed it is, but I can sense the dormant spiritual energy in it. Whatever seed it is, it is very precious. Which is why I will be in charge of nurturing it. Once it germinates, I will tell you. When it germinates and reveals what kind of tree it is, I will tell you. But before that, you need to be patient."
Hearing those words, Diamond felt relieved. At least the seed wasn’t useless. Whatever species it was, at least it made the arrogant fairy take action personally.
She didn’t know how long it would take for the seed to germinate, but considering the time flow in the space, maybe she would be hearing the good news pretty soon.
After leaving the seed to the fairy, Diamond looked at the fields, which were ready for harvest and started getting busy.
All she needed to do was issue commands, and the space would automatically do the job for her. Life was pretty much better compared to before, and she was glad that her space had leveled up well.
Diamond harvested everything which needed to be harvested and took a look at the barn inventory.
Ever since the upgrade, Diamond received a monitor screen which allowed her to see the entirety of the farm as well as the ranch, which wasn’t operating as of yet.
She could also see the quantity of all the harvested crops, which made life easier and right now, the figures were very worrisome.
She mainly planted corn, vegetables and fruits. And right now, there were tonnes of these produce which hadn’t been taken out yet.
She hadn’t summoned the ghost merchant team yet, which meant that she couldn’t donate the grain or the vegetables again.
Although some of the produce was being sold in the fresh produce shop, it wouldn’t make the stored vegetables in the space dwindle at all.
Even if she opened several restaurants, it would still be futile.
This business of continuously planting grains and vegetables needed to be put to a halt for a moment. She needed to plant other things for the moment while she worked through what she already had.
With that in mind, she picked rice and wheat. It didn’t hurt having those two. She picked several lands to plant those. And once that was done, she browsed through the seed market and her eyes lit up when she saw seeds of crops that her people didn’t usually eat.
Talking about seeds, Diamond remembered that she purchased some unique seeds which grew well in Gesalsi.
So, she put a halt to buying seeds from the market but planted such seeds. She planted Gesalsi’s cabbage, which was used in making kimchi. There were radishes, chives, and perilla (usually leaves are used for wrapping food).
After planting these seeds, she moved on to the seed market to pick the seeds which fascinated her.
As a result, she picked cassava and yam, which tend to be recognized as the same which they aren’t.
Cassava has a firmer and drier texture when cooked, with a mild flavor that absorbs other tastes well. While yam is softer and creamier with usually a sweet flavor.
The staple foods in her country were mostly corn and rice. When it comes to tubers, there were potatoes and sweet potatoes. So, seeing those two, she wanted to give it a try. Changing tastes might keep things interesting.
She had enjoyed Gesalsi food so much that she even decided to partake in selling and in the future open a restaurant which serves such kind of food. So why not try some of the Orkney and Afreekan staple foods, since some of the countries share the same staples?
She was in love with traditional food but at times it gets boring to eat the same food. So having a change would make her tummy happy.
With that thought in mind, she became determined to plant a variety of crops in the future.
While she was at it, she added okra and the remaining farmland. She planted herbs needed for body strengthening and wound healing pills.
Since she now has a job as an alchemist, herbs were a must.
After filling all the farmlands, she was satisfied. She looked in a certain direction and spotted the busy fairy. She didn’t know what she was doing, but she should be busy dealing with the seed.
Since she couldn’t disturb the other, Diamond decided to do other things since there was still time.
So, she turned her attention to the barn inventory. Her barn was storing a lot of wonderful treasures, and it just happened that something she was looking at, happens to be something that would be suitable to gift to her parents and Auntie Grace.
Diamond’s eyes squinted when she thought about how those three would react after having a taste. She couldn’t wait.
