Diamond changed into sportswear before leaving the foundation with a group of staff.

She got into her car and drove away smoothly, followed by the black SUVs.

The marathon starting point was on the other side of the CBD. For this event, the traffic department had closed some roads to allow the runners to do their thing without obstruction.

As she drove to the destination, she spotted several police cars patrolling. She couldn’t help but nod with satisfaction, feeling happy with her city’s law enforcement for being dedicated to the safety of the people.

It took Diamond less than forty minutes to reach the destination and as her car approached; she noticed that the number of police offers had increased as well.

There were several people gathered and standing behind the railings set. These people were here already to cheer for the runner.

Diamond’s Aclerean was the only one in the city. So as soon as they saw it, they knew her identity, and she was directed to a special parking lot.

Diamond didn’t reject such a favor and parked her car in that special lot. At least where she parked her car, she wouldn’t have to be worried about any damages.

With her arrival, a lot of people who were her fans were squealing with happiness.

Diamond alighted from the car and brought her sports bag. She passed the briefcase to Admire to hold and headed for the stalls where she wanted to check what was happening there.

When she got there, her eyes squinted happily upon seeing the stall. It was spacious and filled with all sorts of merchandise. That was what they agreed on during the meeting. They discussed how to promote the foundation.

With so many goodies on the stall, she didn’t believe that the foundation would still remain less popular.

With everything checked, Diamond was brought to the committee members in charge of the marathon and officially registered. She got her number and plastered the sticky plaster on her thigh.

Not sure what was happening, but the marathon starting time got pushed to 1 pm, so Diamond found herself with more time to play around. Or rather greet several enthusiastic fans who were standing closer to the starting point.

They were easily spotted as they kept on shouting her name while waving colorful scarves. Seeing the colors of the scarves, a smile blossomed on her face. Without them calling her name, she would have come to the same conclusion as well.

Since they weren’t many, Diamond went to have a chat with them while taking selfies and autographs.

When Diamond heard that, they showed a smug smile, feeling good with such a compliment. Her fans, seeing that, squinted happily knowing that they had managed to make her happy. Her fans knew how much she loved being complimented as well.

What made her happier was seeing how these fans had brought her the snacks she jokingly talked about during her broadcast. Seeing the energy bars and chocolates, Diamond thanked the fans profusely and took them.

She didn’t refuse them. Since they had been given to her, she might as well take it. The money had already been spent, so why act pretentious?

Besides, chocolates and such snacks weren’t that expensive. That was why she dared accept it.

With so many things to hold, Diamond gave some to Admire and let them help her bring them back to the stall.

Once that was done, notifications were sent to all followers, and they hurriedly flooded in to watch their favorite person.

Since the marathon hadn’t started, Diamond decided to chat briefly with the fans while explaining several things to them.

This was a special day, and she believed that the fans would be enthusiastic about helping her.

"Hello everyone! Thank you for coming in such large numbers," Diamond started off by greeting and thanking the fans before answering a few silly questions from them.

Noticing that the runners were starting to gather, Diamond knew that she didn’t have time to chat as much as she would wish for, so she got straight to the point.

"The marathon would be starting in a moment. There are three groups and I am in the third.

Before I start running, there are a few things that I need to talk about. As you all know, today is all about charity and as a special day, I will do something special for you!"
