The elevator stopped twice on the way up and the majority of the people onboard alighted, leaving her and another gentleman wearing a nice blue suit.

Diamond gave the receptionist the name of the reservation, and the other typed something on her laptop. Moments later, she was saying, "Ms. Perry, please head inside. Your room is 1 and someone inside will take you there!" her tone was very respectful.

Diamond smilingly nodded at the other before making her way into the restaurant. Surely, there was someone already waiting to serve her inside.

This person then took her to private room number 1, where she found the person who made an appointment with her waiting for her.

When she entered the room, the other rose to her feet, making Diamond see her wholly in person for the first time.

Diamond currently stood at 1,75m, which was quite a nice height. She was someone who was quite shorter than that last year. So being able to grow like that was truly wonderful.

It was thanks to her favorable height she managed to walk the runway and help Nolan along the way.

While wearing the heels, she stood roughly around 1.8m somewhere there, making her taller.

The reason why she opted for heels out of all shoe wear was because of this woman. She was taller than her and since she loved wearing heels; it made her look taller.

If she had worn flats, she would have been forced to raise her head to look at the other. She didn’t like the thought, image, or the sound of that at all.

She would rather have everyone look at each other on the same level than for her to be looked down upon.

The chairwoman truly deserved to be one. She was not only tall but pretty as well. Her eyes were sharp, and something about them made her feel wary. She wasn’t someone to play and joke easily with.

Her aura screamed serious business if she really let it all out. With a glance, she could tell that she grew up in a stern family with a serious upbringing unlike her, who was free-spirited even when meeting employees.

However, no matter how serious she was, she still planned to befriend the other if she could be befriended. If it doesn’t work, then she would just move on.

After all, life goes on.

While all those thoughts were swimming in her mind, Diamond wore a blinding smile on her face as soon as she saw the other, appreciating and loving the person she was meeting.

Diamond barely hides her emotions when it comes to likes and dislikes. She liked her even without meeting her or knowing her background. So, seeing her in person taking aside the complicated family background, she was truly jovial to see the other.

And since she was happy, she unconsciously acted friendly.

"Ms. Tiana!" she called out to the other, smilingly.

As for calling the other chairwoman, what was that?

She, too, was a chairwoman. Who had ever called her that?

Meanwhile, on the other side, Tiana was still in a trance when the other walked in.

It was the first time seeing Diamond in person and so close like that. She was a busy person. She had to manage her own businesses and the family business as well. So, she barely had time for any entertainment, especially the kind which required her to go online and enjoy.

Unless it’s related to the companies’ affairs or she was free for a bit to chat with her friends who barely interact, she wouldn’t even go online at all.

However, when someone new makes waves in the industry, especially one in which she or they are involved, it forces them to look into the person.

However, when the person being looked into happens to be mysterious with most of the information redacted and hidden away, it makes people wonder and be curious as to what is truly happening.

That was the case with Diamond and the circle that Tiana grew up in. Apart from the information that Diamond shared herself or some of the people who used to know her share, the important bits weren’t shared at all.

Everyone was curious, but because they feared the power behind her, no one, especially the big six families, had not made a move yet.

But who would have guessed that her chance to get in touch with Diamond would come expectedly like that?

Seeing her in person, she was more beautiful, and the facts proved right that she never used a filter. She was simply stunning.

And when the other called her name happily like that, she found herself smiling back at her despite being curious about how she learnt of her name since she didn’t remember divulging it when they talked.

Unfortunately, there were certain things that she also understood that couldn’t be hastily shared with others.

It was just better to concentrate on what truly matters.

"Ms. Diamond, welcome!" as she stepped to the front, Tiana returned the enthusiasm.

Diamond, hearing her melodic voice, beamed further. She really loved people with nice voices and was beautiful. The combination never failed.

"Hehe, thank you for having me!" she gratefully said, as she stopped a short distance away from Tiana for a greeting.

She didn’t know if they were going to shake hands or what but to her surprise, Tiana wasn’t planning to do so but opted for a hug, although it was just for a short moment.

After the hug, the two felt much closer.
