"Is there anything I should be wary about when we reach there?" as Diamond skillfully drove the car despite the gown she was wearing, Kian asked.

He knew that the reunion party was an event that Diamond did not love at all. From his vigorous investigations, he knew the unpleasant things that happened to her.

And when he found out about it, he was so angry that he wanted to avenge her. However, for women like Diamond, he also felt that it wasn’t his place for him to do that for her.

Face slapping was always satisfactory when the wronged person was the one who did it. Honestly, he wanted to witness it for himself as she took charge of that and avenged herself for all the humiliation that they put her through.

Without turning to face Kian, Diamond began to answer Kian in a relaxed manner.

"I didn’t get along with almost everyone there. We were classmates but not close. Some unpleasant things might be said, but don’t worry about them, I will sort them out. You just be my handsome gentleman for tonight," she smilingly said.

Looking at her, his heart ached for her, but he didn’t show it. Since he was supposed to not know anything, he decided to play along. "I won’t let my lady down."

On the way, the two shared more information about themselves since they were still at that stage.

After driving for another hour, she finally saw the familiar buildings of a place she had vowed to never enter again. The humiliation she suffered last time was still fresh in her mind.

Driving through the luxurious gates of Vevco Resort, Diamond felt nostalgic.

[My lady, be calm. We will get through this!] Andrea sounded again in her ear. He was more soothing and calming, unlike the previous times.

Getting cheered up by her forever loyal assistant, Diamond quickly gathered herself without exposing much to the man who was with her in the car.

Unfortunately for her, Kian caught every single action of hers, though he didn’t show it.

’I will make you pay. Just wait for it!’ he solemnly vowed upon seeing how traumatized she was even after so many years.

Whoever invited her back to such a place truly meant her harm and was very inconsiderate. And he was eager to look into the eyes of such beasts and teach them a lesson or two.

By the time she gave the car keys to the valet, it was already a few minutes before six. The time that they have agreed to meet and start the reunion party.

Standing side by side, with both dressed in black, though Diamond was wearing the black and golden gown she had chosen before for the party, they looked ethereal.

Diamond’s waist-length hair made her look like a fairy.

Even when they were looking at her, they could only praise and wonder what kind of Brazilian wig she was wearing and never thought of it being her natural one.

Even Kian was also fooled. After all, there was no way one would have such long hair, especially in Athary. If it were other continents, that would be plausible, but not in Orkney.

Instead of tying it like she usually does for convenience’s sake, she didn’t bother with that, but simply held the hair in place with some hair ornaments and let it loose.

Since it was warm, Diamond found no need to wear a shawl or jacket, so she wore her gown as it was. Exposing the most part of her back that showed no blemish. And if it weren’t for the hair hiding her back, everyone would have seen just how marvelous her skin had become after being showered with blessings.

The most worried was Kian as he protectively hooked his arms around hers as they two walked inside the lobby.

"It’s not like I will run away!" Diamond teased as she allowed Kian to have his way.

Wearing a faint smile on his face, Kian said, "I know that you won’t, but those wolves in sheep’s clothing wouldn’t think the same."

Titling her head to look at the taller man closely, Diamond found herself smiling at him as she teased once more, "Aren’t you one also?"

Kian’s heart fluttered upon being called that, however, he still looked at her with smiling eyes and responded teasingly, "Umm, I am but a wolf with good intentions."

Taken aback by his response, Diamond was finding Kian to be more charming than ever. He wasn’t such a blockhead after all, which was a huge relief.

"And I am also glad to tell you that I am a sheep with nice intentions too," she teased him back.

While the two were busy chatting and having fun as they made their way towards the reception hall, some groups of people were busy on their side.

"Are you sure that she is coming?" a young woman dressed in a pink dress asked frowningly, as she looked at another young woman dressed in a green dress without hiding her disdain for the other.

The green-dressed woman ignored the expression of the other and fawningly responded, "It’s true, Queen. She just texted me and told me that she had arrived."

The woman in pink, Queen, when she heard that. A creepy smile suddenly appeared on her face, "that’s good then. I thought that she would be a coward and wouldn’t show up."

The woman in green smiled creepily as well, completely ignoring the several pairs of eyes that were watching, and nonchalantly responded, "She needs to give you face. Even if she doesn’t want to, what else can she do besides to come?"

"That’s true. Those that struggle and dream of climbing the social ladder would do anything even when they are humiliated a million times."

"But I still can’t believe that she agreed to come. It’s been years since we last saw her."

"I am only curious if she managed to snatch a rich guy after that one?"

"People like her would not stop their agenda until they get what they want."

"Let’s wait and see. Won’t she be here in a short time?"

"But I am curious who she is coming with to the reunion party."

The lady in green couldn’t help but smile slyly, thinking of that, "We will see. It’s not like I didn’t tell her about it."

After all, she indeed told the other, even though it was just the previous night.

How could she even be so bold to come all the way to Srad, and think that everything would be fine with all that occurred between them years ago?

She wasn’t that forgiving and would do anything to ruin that girl. She wouldn’t be the one to suffer alone, after all.
