SIGNING IN: BEING SHOWERED BY HEAVENLY BLESSINGS FOR FIVE YEARS -
Chapter 611 - 609: MEETING OF THE PARENTS
Chapter 611: Chapter 609: MEETING OF THE PARENTS
"Dear, are you really going to join them together?" Auntie Grace asked worriedly as she looked at Diamond.
She didn’t know where her son found so many puzzle pieces. If that thing was made, wouldn’t it be too huge?
When would it even finish?
Does Diamond even have time for that?
Diamond, however, smiled reassuringly at her and said, "I love this gift already. I will work on it slowly until I see the end result. I will make sure to do so!" her tone laced with anticipation.
The thought of building the present with her hands, getting filled with anticipation daily until the day of reckoning arrives. How could she not be excited?
Whether she would be happy or sad, that was to be seen.
Anyway, it’s been a while since her brain was tested like that. She would see how much those brain-nourishing pills had improved her reasoning capacity once she started.
Auntie Grace, seeing that she didn’t mind, decided to give up. As long as Diamond was happy, then her son might have a chance.
Diamond collected her gifts and let the other take a rest.
When her parents arrived, she would get busy again.
Auntie Grace indeed wanted to freshen up, so she didn’t keep Diamond with her.
Diamond arranged her gifts nicely and decorated her room with the crystal ball and the glass with folded papers.
Curious about what was in the glass, she decided to take a look. She fished one folded paper and opened it. Inside was a message written in the Universal language. It was filled with famous quotes, and the one she picked was quite positive.
[Learn as if you will live forever, live life like you will die tomorrow.]
Reading this kind of quote, a smile blossomed on her face.
She wasn’t someone who loved studying or reading. School traumatized her. Her brain didn’t like listening to her when she was in school. Thanks to that, her grades were quite poor.
Because of such poor results, she ended up having bad thoughts. Anyway, after making it big, she had been doing her best to read. Although she doesn’t do it frequently. When she is busy, for example, in the past month, the number of times she read a book was close to nil.
And now that she read the quote, which was literally encouraging her to read and learn, she couldn’t help but be tempted.
’Maybe I should set aside at least an hour every day for reading,’ she pondered as she folded the paper, ready to put it aside.
She was already living life as if she would die tomorrow, so learning shouldn’t be hard, right?
"Oh, thank you for believing,
For every tear and every dream ....."
Unfortunately, her train of thought was cut short when her phone started ringing, the ringing tone being the verse of the song called SHINING STAR. The one she sang for her fans.
Diamond looked at the phone and when she saw who was calling, a smile blossomed on her face; Gael.
She just couldn’t spend a single moment without him making his presence known. Was this his way of making advances?
She loved this kind of pursuit, if that’s what it was.

Meanwhile, on the road, Pa and Ma Perry were driving back home as they talked.
"Dear, what should I do when I face her?" Ma Perry was very worried about this.
Knowing that there was a guest at home, who was very interested in her daughter being her daughter-in-law and advocating for their relationship, she didn’t know how to deal with this situation.
It was the first time that she had seen such a person. Who pushes their own precious sons to a woman who .....?
It wasn’t that her daughter was bad, but most mothers with sons were too picky. They wouldn’t let their sons be involved in relationships like these at all. And yet there was a mother who was pushing her son to such a pit.
How was she supposed to face this kind of mother?
Pa Perry smiled as he looked at his wife, finding her adorable when she was in a bind like that.
"Dear, don’t stress yourself much. Just treat her like a good sister. Since she is good to our darling, then treat her well. Don’t overthink and remember, we are no longer inferior. So don’t let anyone undermine you or look down on you."
When Ma Perry heard that, she was suddenly filled to the brim with confidence.
Her daughter had indeed elevated them. Once upon a time, they used to struggle and eat vegetables without an ounce of meat. And yet now, they were getting tired of it. They were driving big cars, living in big houses and having so many people flattering them.
Back in Taco, the way they were treated was much better than this side. Not that in Frin they weren’t well received, it’s just that their identities were protected. So not everyone knew who they were.
After talking it out, the couple started talking about other things and before they knew it; they were back home.
When the car parked in the garage, the couple alighted with their bags before making their way into the house.
When they walked into the main living room, cheerful laughter greeted them and they both smiled as they recognized the person who was laughing.
Since she was laughing recklessly like that, it meant that all was well and that was all that they needed.
Sitting on the carpet was Diamond, who was in the middle of listening to Gael’s childhood stories from Auntie Grace. It was simply unbelievable, and it made her tear up. She couldn’t hold herself back.
And that was the scene Ma and Pa Perry came across.
When Diamond spotted her parents, she looked sheepishly at them as she wiped the tears from the corner of her eyes while thinking inwardly, ’The parents finally meet!’ looking forward to some drama, if there would be any.
