Chapter 610: Chapter 608: GAEL’S GIFTS

Auntie Grace wasn’t a newcomer in Frin City. In fact, she has a relative who stays in Garden View Complex. So, she understands a bit about the real estate of the city.

She hadn’t been to the Dragon Court. After all, she knew no heir who lived there. That was a place for the big six families, or rather three of them since there were just three mansions there.

Of course, there were several other places that mattered, like the Cherry Court, which amazingly was the complex she was seeing right now. She didn’t have a clue that Diamond lived in such a place.

Just how filthy rich was this potential daughter-in-law of hers?

She was starting to get more curious.

Setting aside the matter of Cherry Court, Frin City also has the Garden View complex, the complex which would content with others seriously, Casa Palmera and many individual estates belonging to these rich families.

There were other mansion complexes, however, they were private and kept to themselves. And in these places, you would find the big six families as well.

It was a small city, but it housed hidden dragons and crouching tigers.

Of course, it couldn’t match with bigger cities. However, the value was already there, and that’s all that matters. After all, in big cities, some rich families couldn’t even afford to live in some of these villas and mansions.

When the car finally parked in the garage, Auntie Grace felt like she was finally at peace.

Diamond brought Auntie Grace inside the house and at this moment, Auntie Janet was busy receiving the bags from the bodyguards.

Seeing how busy she was, Diamond didn’t disturb her but took Auntie Grace to her room.

The villa had a total of seven bedrooms. She occupied the main bedroom, and her parents occupied one. There was a room for Ruby, Garnet and Auntie Janet. And that left two extra rooms for guests to use.

Diamond brought Auntie Grace to the bedroom that the twins were using during their stay.

After showing her the room, she and Auntie Grace both went downstairs to help Auntie Janet with the suitcases.

The suitcases were taken upstairs and Auntie Jane excused herself, as she needed to prepare for supper. The clock was ticking and in two hours or so, Ma and Pa Perry would be arriving. Garnet was used to returning late daily.

Inside the bedroom, Auntie Grace and Diamond were seated as they chatted happily, especially when the topic revolved around Gael and the present.

"This son of mine, hehe, forgive him for not coming. He is just too busy; it makes me feel worried."

Diamond waved her hands dismissively a smile on her face as she said, "It’s fine, Auntie. We are all busy, so it’s understandable. What did he send for me?"

She was very curious about the present.

Auntie Grace, seeing that she didn’t mind, heaved a sigh of relief before plastering a smile on her face.

"I am not sure what it is. I didn’t dare open it. But you can check it out," she responded smilingly as she pushed a small suitcase to Diamond’s side.

Diamond was at a loss as she looked at the suitcase being pushed to her. She thought that she was going to see a wrapped gift in the box but never thought that it would be a whole suitcase, even if it was just a small size.

Nonetheless, she grinned happily as she pulled the suitcase to her side.

Auntie Grace smiled relievedly, seeing how ecstatic this rich potential daughter-in-law of hers was. She doesn’t know what her son bought and what was in there. However, she sincerely hoped that he wouldn’t let her down or embarrass her.

She had traveled from afar not to be embarrassed.

Meanwhile, Diamond was just happy getting a present. It didn’t matter what kind it was, as long as it came from the heart.

She hurriedly opened the suitcase, and several wrapped boxes greeted her. Upon seeing not just one but several gifts, her smile widened as she found Gael so much to her liking. If he was closer, she might peck him as a reward.

Auntie Grace was finally relieved when she saw the boxes. At least if one gift doesn’t suit Diamond, the others might do a trick.

Diamond tore the wrapping paper without too much thought for all the gifts. Once that was done, she started opening the gifts, eager to know what was inside.

There were five gifts in total, ranging from small to big. She started with the smallest box. When she opened it, a crystal ball welcomed her; it made her freeze for a second before a smile blossomed on her face.

Auntie Grace watched as Diamond shook the crystal ball, which portrayed a snowy place with a childish smile on her face. It made her think about a lot.

The next gift was a box of expensive chocolates. She had never eaten them before. Not that she couldn’t afford them. She just didn’t have the time and patience to go to the shops that they were sold at.

The third gift was a greeting card, and it came with a beautiful diamond jewelry set, making Auntie Grace feel envious. Her son finally learnt to be attentive, and he forgot his mother.

The fourth gift was a strange one. It was a glass with folded papers inside. It made the old lady wonder what kind of foreign tactics her son was deploying.

This gift also got Diamond wondering as well.

The last gift. She opened it with eagerness and when she saw it, her lips twitched as she looked at Auntie Grace.

Even the old lady grimaced when she saw the familiar logos on the box.

’Son, weren’t you doing just fine?’ she wanted to cry but no tears could be found.

Diamond gritted her teeth and opened the box, only to reveal something that made her teeth ache.

At this moment, Auntie Grace was looking at the ceiling, pretending that she wasn’t in the room.

’How could he buy me a puzzle? Does he want to make my head ache?’

She had never played with such puzzles before. Where could she find time to do so?

However, that didn’t mean that she hadn’t seen others playing with them. They were so time-consuming and piecing together puzzle by puzzle until the puzzle was completed. Who knows when she will be done?

Nonetheless, she still needed to know what the puzzle pieces would make once the pieces were joined together.

Diamond could only continue with gritted teeth to check the manual instructions, as well as seek for the picture. These puzzle pieces usually bring pictures to show what they expect to see once the puzzles are brought together.

However, nothing like that showed. What she saw was another handwritten card.

[Diamond,

When you see this, I don’t know what kind of emotions you would be feeling, but I can assure you that once you finish it, you won’t regret it. You will definitely like it. I have put a lot of effort into preparing this gift; I hope that you will like it.

Yours, Gael.]

After seeing something like that, how could she continue being sullen?

Her curiosity alongside anticipation were piqued. She couldn’t wait to start on this project.
