Chapter 61: Chapter 61

As he walked into the lobby, several thoughts and questions ran through his mind.

’What is she wearing? Does she like me? Just who is she?’

He had so many questions to ask, but a short time to get all the answers that he needed.

It was the first time that a woman was picking him up for a date. And it was just a bit strange that he wasn’t the one picking her up and it got him worried.

Especially when he fully knew how he couldn’t get past her firewall. Apart from the public knowledge that could be found, anything about her in the past six to seven months was completely blurred.

And he was curious about that. However, the fact that someone was protecting her from the prying eyes of the public made him feel relieved but at the same time, jealous as well.

Just who was protecting her?

That was another question that needed an answer. And yet he knew fully that he wouldn’t be getting it.

Passing the lobby under the gawking eyes of many, Kian didn’t find it bothersome. For he was used to such things and thinking of Sullivan, Kian even felt that his life was better compared to the other.

’Where did she say she was at again?’ he couldn’t help but ask himself as he walked out of the doors.

At the entrance, there were several people either getting into the hotel or leaving.

And looking at the cars present, he was trying to deduce which car she was in, for they were many. Honestly, he didn’t have high hopes, especially when he was factoring in the fact that she owned a farm.

Although the business sounded profitable, it was time-consuming and the money would only be earned several times a year. There was nothing like quick cash, and he doubted if she could afford a lot of expensive things.

Although he had seen her wearing some nice branded clothes and buying expensive clothes, he wasn’t expecting much. Not that he liked her for the way she dressed. He was just a realistic person and one that wouldn’t try to expect too much, only to be disappointed.

So, whether she had money or not, he was fine with her. This was the reason why instead of looking at that fancy car on his right side, he was busy looking at the less expensive cars.

Sitting inside the car and watching as Kian stood at the entrance without moving in her direction, she couldn’t help but wonder why he was delaying.

[My lady, if I remember correctly. You didn’t tell him which one is your car. So, how is he supposed to know where you are?]

Glaring at Andrea, who had started once again with his scornful remarks, Diamond took a few deep breaths before clicking on the car screen and making a call.

Kian picked up the call after two rings and she told him, "I am towards your right. I am in the navy-blue Dentley," before hanging up.

Kian looked to his right, where he spotted fully the car he had automatically been excluded from his mind when he was looking for Diamond.

’That can’t be right! It shouldn’t be, right?’

But despite his doubts, Kian still walked towards the Dentley direction with all sorts of emotions swirling in him.

She watched through the rearview mirror as Kian confidently made his way towards her. Diamond, who had been having a field day with Andrea, decided to make things clear before the other arrived.

"From now on, dear, let’s mask ourselves. Don’t let the other suspect anything. In other words, I will be driving or he will. Just don’t expose yourself. We both wouldn’t want any trouble."

Diamond was truly afraid of exposing Andrea. She still wanted to live for a long time, before anything could happen to her.

And if Andrea were to be known to the rest of the world. She could already imagine how crazy it would be. And she didn’t even have a single bodyguard to take care of her safety, to make it worse. So why would she be foolish to put herself in danger?

[Don’t worry, my lady. I know what to do.]

Andrea then disengaged the automatic drive function and returned the controls over to her once again.

Seeing Kian nearing, Diamond, who wasn’t planning on letting any Tom or Dick see her, opened the passenger’s window instead.

So, when Kian arrived and peeped inside. What greeted him was a scene that he would never forget in his life.

"My lady, you look as gorgeous as ever!" Kian complimented as he sat down in the passenger’s seat, his gaze never leaving her for a second.

Diamond, being looked at like that, couldn’t help but flush furiously, her heart thumping loudly, obviously very happy with the praise she just received.

"You look handsome yourself!" she couldn’t help but return the favor as she looked at the charming man wearing black from head to toe once again.

"Anything to make my lady happy!" he said flirtatiously as he buckled himself up.

Raising her head smugly, Diamond, who was now in the mood to tease around, smugly said, "Umm, at least you know your priorities!"

Kian found her very amusing, seeing the way she was playing around. His heart raced wildly upon the thought of having her as his or them.

With Kian inside the car, and with the clock ticking, Diamond, who was in a happy mood, turned on the ignition and was ready to go.

Kian for a brief moment scrutinized the car. He couldn’t help but notice that despite the Dentley being a familiar car, it wasn’t that expensive, especially for someone like him. It was truly a good one, especially for her.

Recalling its price tag, he couldn’t help but look at Diamond with awe and respect in his eyes.

He didn’t know what other jobs she was doing, but whatever they were, she was faring well for herself. And that alone was enough to make his impression of her increase.

Self-sufficient women who knew what they wanted, and were independent to top it up, he found them appealing to the eyes. And it was the kind of feeling he didn’t hate at all.
