Chapter 448: Chapter 446: IF YOU CAN AVOID IT WHY CAUSE A SCENE?

It didn’t take long before the conference room was full and Diamond, alongside her parents, walked into the conference room as well.

Diamond had her parents sit just next to her. The staff had left two empty seats alongside her chair, making it easy for her and her parents.

When she was seated, Diamond looked relaxed, as always.

When facing her employees, as long as they didn’t commit any crimes, use their authority to bully others or embezzle her money, she didn’t see any reason to be very strict.

They were all one family and a family didn’t need to pressure each other all the time to get things done. Unless it was necessary to do so.

"Hello, everyone!" with a smile on her face, Diamond started by greeting the many faces in the conference room as her hands were placed on top of the desk.

"Good morning, boss!"

"Good morning, Ms. Diamond."

"Morning, Ms. Perry!"

Everyone called her differently. She didn’t mind any title as long as no one was disrespecting her. So, she was cool with the return greetings she got.

"I am all good. How have you been?"

"All has been great."

"We are managing!"

Diamond loved hearing that the most. People should manage and if they can’t, do everything in their power to see what they can do to change that.

On top of that, they should be doing great and not crying left and right as if they are owed billions.

"Perfect!" she exclaimed as she scanned everyone in the room. "I won’t waste everyone’s time. My schedule is a bit tight. So, let’s start the meeting!" she said as she clapped her hands, a familiar action she always does whenever she is having meetings.

As soon as she said that, the sound of pages filled the conference room. Everyone was ready to jot down the notes.

"First, I want to introduce you to my beloved parents!" Diamond warmly said as she looked at the couple sitting next to her affectionately, not embarrassed to let the world know about the two of them at all.

"If it wasn’t for their love and nurturing, then this lady, this boss of yours, wouldn’t be here. So, I want you all to memorize their faces and remember them in the future. They might be coming here more in the future!" she added, a hint of warning in her tone.

She would hate having her parents experience a novel scene where she would be forced to do some face-slapping. She didn’t have time to put herself in such situations all the time.

She loves drama, but only when it involves her and not her parents.

If she can avoid it, she does her best to do so.

If she is rich and has money, why must she tempt other people by going around dressed as if she just came out from the streets?

By doing so, she would be misunderstood and misjudged. Conflicts would arise and words would be exchanged. In an attempt to prove herself, she would be forced to reveal her identity, putting a lot of people in awkward situations which would even result in many people losing their livelihood.

In most cases, the rich would get all the favor while the poor would suffer.

Not that the rich are always the bad guys, but in all face-slapping situations, especially the kind she dislikes the most, the shopping mall saga, the staff would end up getting fired.

And when they do, it means not just them but the people they were supporting would suffer. And when they think of the person who made them suffer, she would always be on their minds.

If they happen to meet an evil deity and give their all to get revenge, would she even have a chance to defend herself?

She knew that the system would always protect her, but what about her family?

Rather than keeping things ambiguous and mysterious, Diamond at times preferred to be out in the open like this. In the future, when her parents and sister come to the foundation, everyone will know who they are and not cause any saga.

That was the major reason why she let everyone know about her relatives. Besides, why must she show off her family?

Without them, would she even be here now?

When the staff heard that, they all repeatedly reminded themselves about what Diamond had just said.

They knew her pretty well by now. She was well-mannered and when triggered; she was like a machine gun. Once she started firing, she wouldn’t stop.

At least what they liked about her was that she was forthright and didn’t like doing things behind their backs.

Seeing that everyone understood her words, she moved on to the next agenda of the meeting.

Listening to the heads of department’s reports.

Listening to all reports took a while, and she jotted down what was important.

What she loved about her staff was that they were hard-working and didn’t slack off.

So far, she hadn’t received a report of anyone stealing her money. When it comes to money, she was sensitive, and Andrea was always there to keep an eye on everyone. Something that they didn’t know, and she didn’t even want them to know about it.

Regarding the projects they started when the year started, there was progress in many of them.

With teams formed to tackle the projects and problems that they were facing, Diamond was happy to hear that the foundation so far had managed to donate some food hampers to one orphanage so far and there was more to come in the future.

The foundation took the approach of not donating cash, no matter how stranded the people were. If they wanted help with something, they would rather foot the bill than hand over the money to the management.

People are wolves and, for money, they are willing to forsake their humanity. And she didn’t want to be the trigger of that. She has money, but money to tempt these people to sin, she didn’t have it.

The other team just finished negotiating with the city council and was ready to dig the boreholes for some communities.
