SIGNING IN: BEING SHOWERED BY HEAVENLY BLESSINGS FOR FIVE YEARS
Chapter 447 - 445: WE ARE PROUD OF YOU, DIAMOND!

Chapter 447: Chapter 445: WE ARE PROUD OF YOU, DIAMOND!

"Mom and Dad, what do you guys think?" Diamond asked proudly as she looked at her parents, whose astonishment couldn’t be hidden from her anymore.

She had been keeping an eye on the two from the very second that she arrived at the building.

And when she showed them around and introduced them to everyone, she could tell how proud they were.

She had been an embarrassment for the first two decades of her life.

Only receiving and never giving anything back.

She was spoiled and received everything on a platter, and yet her parents never once forced her to do anything that she didn’t want.

As parents, they just wished the best for her and hoped that she was happy.

If it wasn’t for the setback with Donald, Diamond didn’t even want to imagine where she would be right now.

With the route that she was taking, she was perfectly certain that she would be in ruins right now.

She disliked her family’s conditions so much, which was why she endured all the humiliation she suffered just to get a better life.

Unfortunately, there is karma. She didn’t get what she wanted but got something else on top of that.

As if the deities knew that one setback might not be enough and once she gathered her courage, she might return to the world of sin and find someone richer and a better candidate than Donald, she was given a skin rash.

One that made her feel ashamed and couldn’t even hang out with friends.

That skin disease tormented her more than the suffering she went through because of Donald and Alaine.

It took every cent that she earned and made her so humble that until now, it still felt like a dream.

If she wasn’t that sick, she wouldn’t have understood the suffering other people were going through back then.

If she had not gone through everything she did, she wouldn’t have appreciated her parents and everything that they sacrificed for her, including Ruby.

Because of that suffering, she learnt to accept her circumstances and even spent the little money she had to donate to charities, even though it was just a small amount.

That measly salary of hers, she made sure that it was enough for everyone. A share for her savings, utilities, donations and some for her family back home.

Although it wasn’t enough, she was still happy to have it.

Thankfully, because of her changed heart, she managed to bury that bird. Otherwise, if it was before when she was still thinking that the world must revolve around her, she might have ignored it.

And by doing so, she would have lost a great chance to become rich and better. On top of it, she might have been cursed as well. Since the deity could give her blessings, who knows if it could curse her as well?

So, she was grateful for everything. Even if she suffered a lot back then. At least she got something through it.

And now she gets to see the proud smiles on her parents’ faces. What more could she ask for?

Honestly, when Belinda and Richard learnt that their daughter had a charity foundation, it was simply unbelievable. However, thinking about how much money their daughter might have, they found it acceptable.

After all, a person should know to be grateful and return something to society even if it never did anything for you.

By helping others, you get to accumulate merits and be blessed. That’s how life works.

When they saw the building, it was baffling.

This whole building, it all belonged to their baby?

How could this be?

And when they entered the building, seeing the happy smiles on the staff’s faces, they became even prouder and walked with their heads high.

Now that they hear their daughter asking that question, what else could they say except to shower her with praises?

After all, she deserves it.

Belinda reached out to her daughter and held her hands with a smile on her face, "Darling, mommy is very proud of you. I am very proud!" she couldn’t help but repeat her words, tears pooling in her eyes as she said so.

Diamond beamed as she looked at her mother. That was all the confirmation that she needed from her and her father.

Seeing them proud and happy for her. Everything just seemed perfect and gave her more strength and energy to do more.

Even her father, Richard, looked at her admirably, pride visible in his eyes and the man didn’t need to say anything more.

"Hehehe, I am glad that you see it that way!" she couldn’t help but respond, grinning foolishly like a child who had been given some candy.

Belinda shook her head helplessly, seeing her daughter acting like a fool, but she liked it.

At least, despite her daughter having so much money, she still retained some of her foolishness from before. She didn’t act all mighty or disdain them.

A lot of kids tend to forget their roots and it makes the family worry.

After showing her family around, Diamond was ready for the meeting.

Since she was leaving Athary in two days, she needed to get her house in order and make sure that everyone was on the same page.

Although they could talk through emails or the D-Angel app, having a face-to-face meeting was always the best.

Diamond didn’t forget her parents but brought them with her to the meeting. It was a good way of introducing them to everyone.

She wanted her parents to be part of the family. Although she still prefers for them to have their own businesses, for now when they are here and she is trying to make them stay, letting them fall in love with the foundation was her goal today.

And she was going to do her best.

Everyone in the building was excited and giddy.

As time slowly approached, everyone already picked up their notebooks and pens before making their way to the conference room in numbers.

"Hehe, this is the first time I have seen everyone so eager to attend a meeting!"

"Heh, as if you aren’t interested. What are you even holding?"

The staff, despite being competitive and from different departments, couldn’t help but tease one another as they all headed for the conference room.
