Chapter 428: Chapter 426: HER VULNERABILITY

Diamond lifted her head as her hands dropped to her knees. She had long changed her sitting posture, both her knees stuck together like a primary student who is getting reproach from the homeroom teacher.

She looked at Sullivan, helplessness and disbelief written all over her face, and asked, "You.... What did I do to you to insult me like this on such a day? When have I wronged you?" her voice cracking as if she was about to cry, especially with how red those eyes had become.

Feeling a bit disturbed by her vulnerability and yet the inner demon in him whispering and urging him to attack, Sullivan steered his heart and responded, "Tell me something, Diamond. Have you ever loved me, genuinely?"

Diamond hesitated to answer that question and Sullivan scoffed, a glint of viciousness flashing in his eyes.

"If you didn’t see Kian, would you even be interested in me?"

’I wouldn’t have bothered!’ however, this wasn’t said out loud.

Why should she respond when she can watch a free drama? Seeing Sullivan and Kian both getting angry at her responses was going to be another form of compensation for her today.

Seeing her quiet again, Sullivan felt like slapping her. However, he decided to strip her of her façade and let his brother understand more about the woman he thought like dedicating his entire life to before.

"Do you even love Kian? He was the first you saw, after all?"

And there was no response again.

Kian, seeing that, felt bothered, and the feeling wasn’t great at all.

Unfortunately, they were in for a great treat. As with more questions being asked, Diamond hesitated and showed a guilty expression. And her reactions simply screamed that she didn’t care.

Feeling exasperated with everything, Kian at this point was boiling with rage. He even forgot what they agreed to on the first day that the relationship between the three of them was established.

Knowing that after this, it would be a miracle for Diamond to forgive them and continue, though he hoped that it wouldn’t be the case. Eager and anxious to get the answers that he desperately wanted despite the dire consequences and how Diamond would react if she ever learned the truth, he opened his mouth and asked.

His question startled both Diamond and Sullivan.

"Diamond, those pills and the meditation techniques. Was it you from day one or the so-called alchemist you always speak about?"

Sullivan never thought that his brother was also aiming for this when he agreed to cooperate with him a few days ago.

He was also curious about this as well. The technique was great and made him feel wonderful about himself. His confidence was boosted several times, and he felt healthier than before.

The pills were even more magical and with Izzy’s encouragement, knowing where she got them, might be helpful to them in the future.

A single pill can sell up to ten million if sold well. What if they get the connections of Diamond’s so-called alchemist and deal with that person on their own?

The thought of having so much money and becoming rich that he didn’t even need to continue acting in the future tempted him.

However, he didn’t dare rush to ask such a question. He wanted to make her feel guilty towards them. And if he loved them as much as he hoped, then she would spill the beans to prove herself to them.

Unfortunately, Kian rushed everything and now he was anxious as to how Diamond would respond. Would she take the bait or go haywire and ruin everything?

Feeling frustrated by that, Sullivan looked at Diamond, whose expression was now that of shock and as he continued to look at it, he felt shivers down his spine as that expression suddenly vanished, turning icy.

’What the heck?’ that scared the lights out of him seeing how fast she was at changing faces.

It was as if he was looking at two people and he wasn’t the only one shocked, as Kian’s face paled, realizing that they might have been had.

Diamond looked icily at the two lovers of hers who couldn’t stop themselves once they started and craned her neck for a bit.

With all the pretending and acting, she was feeling stuff and with the hour left with around fifteen minutes; she didn’t have the luxury to continue fooling them anymore.

Sullivan, seeing that expression and Diamond’s action, felt frustrated suddenly as he recalled that he was an actor. And acting was part of his life. He had acted on many projects and seeing someone acting in front of him would easily be noticed.

And yet there he was, fooled by the woman he had been mocking for a long time. How did he miss it?

Feeling furious about being played, Sullivan didn’t give Diamond a chance to attack him and shamelessly stated, "Hehe, so you have been acting the fool all this time? Diamond, I have underestimated your shamelessness!"

Diamond, upon hearing that, turned to look at Sullivan with a disgusted expression before bursting into a mocking laughter. Her ethereal voice was so sharp it sent tingles in their bodies, but not the good ones.

Diamond wiped the tears streaming down her cheeks as she looked at the twins like fools and retorted, "So what if I am shameless? Aren’t we all the same?"

"You_" Sullivan wanted to respond, but Diamond cut him off. "You have blabbered for a long time and now it’s my turn."

Seeing her like that, Kian knew that they were done. If they got a chance to make a comeback, it would only mean that she was head over heels for them, but he doubted that.

Sullivan couldn’t believe how a fool he had been. To have played in her hands for too long, thinking that she was suffering and yet she was just toying with them.

Izzy was right. This type of girl didn’t suit him at all. She just wanted puppets to use and then ditch in the future. He wasn’t going to be played by her for whatever gains there may be.

Diamond crossed her legs, as she felt much better after listening to her so-called grievances. It was simply unexpected, very shocking and dumbfounding, it surprised her when he started talking.

She knew that they might talk about something, for example, her pills and techniques, but never had she thought that these guys in their minds saw her as a vile creature who only cared about herself and not them.

How could they lower her fondness for them to such an extent?

Since they already labeled her as the villain, she might as well show them what a true villain is like.
