Chapter 415: Chapter 413: PREPARATIONS

"Let’s see what the system gave me this time!" she excitedly spoke to herself as she retrieved the reward, she just received a moment ago.

Not sure when the system started giving her rewards at midnight, but she loved it.

Since she was awake, it didn’t matter what time she got a reward. She was happy either way.

The reward she got this time was a mysterious box.

In other words, she had no idea what was in there. It might be something good, bad or nothing at all.

After all, treasure boxes tend to give people surprises, and some of them are capable of sending people into shock.

That great shock can make one have a stroke. She just hoped that it wouldn’t be that kind of surprise.

Something good or simple would do.

Just don’t give her anything bad or nothing.

Looking at the box, she wondered what was in there. However, that question would be answered once she opens the box.

And that’s exactly what she did.

"What is this?" she dumbfoundedly asked as she looked at the yellow paper inside the box.

Was this good or bad?

She couldn’t help but wonder as she picked the yellow paper from the box and started scrutinizing it.

At that moment, the system which was supposed to be offline came online.

[Ding! The host has been rewarded with a bad luck talisman which will last the target forty-eight hours.]

[Ding! To use the talisman, the host needs to write the name of the target on the talisman.]

"What the heck?" Diamond exclaimed loudly as gawked at the yellow talisman, shock written all over her face.

To think that something like this exists. She couldn’t help but be stunned for a while before she started bursting into laughter.

"Haha, this reward I like it!" she laughed happily as she slapped the quilt, stars in her eyes.

The thought of receiving such an item just when she was planning on dealing with someone, she was thinking of how to deal with, Diamond, was over the moon.

Thinking about the target, her eyes could not help but narrow as she pictured how terrible that person’s life would be in the next forty-eight hours.

Since that person dared to mess with her, then she could only say sorry, you deserve it.

Without further ado, Diamond enthusiastically wrote the name of the target on the talisman and once the name was written, the talisman burnt into ashes, leaving no evidence of its existence.

She didn’t know what was going to happen to that person, but she was going to keep an eye out.

She wanted to witness the mightiness of a bad luck talisman provided by the system.

With the bad luck cast, Diamond was finally in a good mood.

Since it was late already, she might as well go to sleep.

There was so much that she needed to do once the sun rose.

Bearing that in mind, Diamond switched off the lights and drifted to sleep.

***

The next morning, Diamond after her morning jog, took a shower and changed into something casual. She didn’t know if they would be going out later, so she didn’t bother to dress up beautifully.

After doing so, Diamond didn’t leave her room but sat down on the bed with her phone in hand.

She dialed her mother’s number and after several rings, her mother appeared on the screen, looking much younger than the last time she saw her.

It seemed that the pills and cream were working for her mother. Very good news for her.

"Hello, Mother!" she greeted enthusiastically, a smile on her face as she looked at her.

[Hello darling. How are you?]

"Doing well and you, mom?"

[Couldn’t be any better. How is it that side?]

"It’s interesting. A lot of fun, actually."

[That’s good. Remember to have fun and not just think about work.]

"I will remember that. Where is Dad?"

[Your dad is in the bathroom. Do you want to talk to him as well?]

"Um. I want to talk to you both. Get him."

[No need, there he is!] Diamond’s mother said as her father showed up on the screen.

[Hey, dear!]

Diamond smiled upon seeing her father, who looked younger and invigorated. "Hell, Dad. How are you?"

[Doing well, thanks, dear. Did you call us for something?]

"Yes. There is a pressing matter that I can’t openly discuss on the phone!" with a heavy expression on her face, Diamond said.

Upon hearing that, the two elders looked at her, worry and curiosity on their faces.

[Dear, what’s going on?]

[Can’t you solve it?]

"I wish I could solve it quickly, but I am afraid that I might need some time."

[What is it?]

"I might need all of you to move to Frin as soon as possible!"

[Huh! Move there?]

[Is it really that serious?]

With a dejected sigh escaping her lips, Diamond responded, "Yes. It is serious and I can’t risk it. So, for now, I think that with you moving to Frin would lessen some of my worries."

[Can’t the bodyguards do anything against what is coming?]

"They are too weak. We are talking about the kind of people that won’t blink if they want you dead."

Upon hearing that, the two’s faces became horror-stricken. They shuddered on the spot, wondering what kind of people their daughter had provoked for such a thing to happen.

[You ... are you safe?]

Diamond smiled upon hearing her parents’ worry. Instead of worrying about themselves, they were concerned about her.

"Don’t worry. I can hold my forte without a worry!" she reassuringly told them.

She could fight and had a powerful fan that could cut heads like tofu. So why should she fear assassins or martial artists?

Besides, if things really go haywire, she would just vanish into the Golden Space.

However, her parents were different. They weren’t capable of doing so, and she would always be worried. Having them in Frin would guarantee their safety.

There was Garnet and the majority of the bodyguards there.

[When should we leave?] Without asking any further questions, her parents asked.

"If possible, either tomorrow or the 14th. I can’t be there to pick you up, but Garnet is there. She would make sure that you arrive safely and are both taken care of."

[What about the businesses and the house on this side?]

"Don’t worry about them for now. If you have managers, let them take care of the business. We will discuss more once I return to Frin."

[Okay, dear. We will start packing. Today, we will go and arrange the companies. Tomorrow we will board the plane.]

"That’s great. I will let Garnet know and you can coordinate!"

Diamond chatted with her parents for a while before the call was hung up.

After that, she connected to Garnet and told her what was happening.

She didn’t dare let her parents suffer when they came to Frin.

Although her plans changed slightly, she just wished to see them safe, even if she had to slight them for a moment.

She was going to make it up for them in the future.
