SIGNING IN: BEING SHOWERED BY HEAVENLY BLESSINGS FOR FIVE YEARS -
Chapter 405 - 403: SHATTERED
Chapter 405: Chapter 403: SHATTERED
Badum. Badum. Badum.
Diamond felt as if her heart would jump out at any second as she waited for Dean’s answer.
She didn’t know what came over her, but she wanted to know.
Getting the answer would help her to what moves she would make next.
She wasn’t a home wrecker, so unless the guy she was interested in was single, she wouldn’t continue with her schemes.
She didn’t want to invest so much, only to find out later that Dean was truly taken. Wouldn’t she be heartbroken when that happens?
For a brief second, Dean closed his eyes, his heart thumping wildly, taken by surprise by Diamond’s question.
However, considering the fact that he had asked her about her relationship, it was expected that she would also ask the same question.
But why did he feel sour thinking about the whole thing?
And looking at the expecting gaze of hers, he knew that he couldn’t brush this topic away. Besides, they could be considered close now. After all, she literally shared some secretive information about herself with him.
So it wasn’t that much to share this with her, right?
Holding to that thought, as the car approached the villa gates, Dean suddenly smiled as he looked at Diamond, making her heart flutter from that smile and, at the same time, panic.
Smiles like those weren’t always a sign of a good omen. She couldn’t help but shudder.
And surely, her premonition was on point, as she heard Dean respond to her, "Um. I have a girlfriend. We have been seeing each other for three years now!" an affectionate smile pasted on his face, shattering her anticipatory heart into pieces.
Forcing a smile on her face, Diamond enthusiastically said, "Wow! That’s a long time! I am happy for you. She must be good!" pretending to be happy about this.
How could she be happy for him?
Just when she thought that she had found someone again, someone to her liking and with a family who knew her and liked her, although they didn’t know much about her. It turned out that the guy was in a good relationship.
Nowadays, it is rare for relationships to stand strong for years.
Hers didn’t even last four months. How much she envied Dean at this moment?
Unaware of the turmoil in Diamond’s heart, Dean smiled brightly as he thought about the girl he had been with and how patient she had been with him in these years.
Because of his status, he couldn’t bring her into the open all these years. Those around him and her didn’t even know that they were seeing each other.
Even if people were to call her a mistress in the future, it wouldn’t even be irrefutable. She had been hidden from the world for far too long.
However, Diamond’s words this night had enlightened him greatly. There were things that they couldn’t run away from.
One way or the other, the truth will always surface.
Once in a while, a person should live truly, shedding off the armor and the mask that hides the real self.
And in front of Diamond, Dean felt like he could shed that. In fact, he craved to be like her, and live without worries.
And maybe starting by revealing his girlfriend was the first step in doing so.
"Since I have told you this, can you help me with something else?" Dean asked imploringly, as he drove into the driveway heading towards the villa where he could see his mother and sisters waiting outside.
Seeing him like this. How could she just shake her head and refuse?
So, Diamond smiled at him and nodded her head, agreeing to his request. "Sure. What do you want? I will do my best to help you!"
And her heart was shattered once again in less than ten minutes as Dean uttered what he wanted.
Even when she alighted from the car, with that fake smile on her face, Diamond regretted it so much.
’If only I didn’t ask him about the girlfriend thing. Maybe this wouldn’t be happening!’ she wanted to desperately beat herself to a pulp.
Unfortunately, there was no medicine for regret.
At the same time, she couldn’t expose her current feelings and could only respond to Anita and the twins, answering their questions.
Fortunately, because it was late, Diamond could excuse herself early to rest. And that’s how she escaped from the Ace’s clutches.
In her room, Diamond undressed and walked into the bathroom where she sat in the tub, as she endlessly sighed.
{Mother, at this rate, you will get older. Why don’t we just forget about it?} Andrea, worriedly suggested, seeing Diamond in such a state.
Upon hearing that, Diamond felt like pummeling this unfilial son of hers and she angrily asked, "Why are you butting in? Are you done tinkering with the robots already?"
Andrea: {...}
Diamond clutched her head as she felt like she had gone stupid from everything that had happened that night.
"Sorry. I am just ..."
{It’s fine. I understand. Besides, there are plenty fishes out there. Just because you can’t have him, doesn’t mean that it’s the end of the world!} Andrea comforted Diamond, making her chuckle, a smile forming on her face.
Andrea felt relieved seeing that.
"I guess it’s like that!" she could only echo that statement.
Feeling better after getting comforted by Andrea, the bath didn’t take that long before Diamond retired for the night.
After all, what doesn’t a good night’s sleep cure?

The next morning, after the exercises and shower, Diamond sat in her room as she scrolled through the comments her fans had been leaving her.
She was all smiles and laughing once in a while, her mood obviously better compared to yesterday.
These people were truly her best medicine. They always know what to say to make her spirits uplifted in any matter.
[Ding! Do you want to sign in?] and other things were even much better.
Setting aside the phone on the side, Diamond inwardly agreed. ’Yes. Sign in!’
