Chapter 396: Chapter 394: SIS, YOU ....

Diamond clicked her tongue, a mocking smile on her face as she left the shop.

Who would have thought that she would come across such a crazy girl?

Fortunately, the other wasn’t that crazy and at least was stupid enough to get fooled.

That lonely child just needed some attention and attention she was going to make sure the other got it.

And talking about attention, Diamond couldn’t help but feel ominous as she looked at the man dressed handsomely in a suit with a few more men looking her way.

What were these people?

Could it be that her identity had been exposed already?

Wondering about that, still walking towards where these men were standing, Andrea sounded in her ear.

{Mother, that man in the front is the CEO of the shopping mall!}

And her guesses were confirmed this time.

Since that was already the case, there was no need to run away any longer.

Besides, wouldn’t this be another slap to that little girl still interrogating those fans of hers inside the shop?

The twins were still excited, whispering to each other about the events which had happened when something unexpected happened which made them halt in their tracks, their mouths wide open, and jaws nearly falling to the ground.

"Sis, you ..." no words could come out as the twins watched with their own eyes as Diamond was greeted respectfully by people, they had seen at some point during business functions, they were dragged to unwillingly by their father and brother before.

On the other hand, Diamond was all smiles as she greeted the man who was in charge of making money for her.

No matter what, she was the kind of person who truly respected figures like this man. They work so hard, lead so many people and make sure that the company brings money for all shareholders to enjoy at the end of the day.

With such dedicated people, how can she not be all smiles?

Especially with how she still wasn’t interested in fully managing her companies. She found the process very excruciating and a bit boring.

How can she manage sitting in one place, listening to reports day in and out? And if something is going on outside, she attends a meeting and is forced to flatter some people?

She couldn’t do that at all.

She might learn how to manage the business but participate in it. There was no way she was going to do that.

It was simply too much for her.

"It’s nice meeting you, Miss Perry!"

Diamond smilingly responded, feeling glad that she didn’t have to set another meeting with the CEO again.

"The pleasure is all mine. Sorry for making you come all this way!"

The CEO and the directors shook their heads hurriedly. How can they let this ancestor apologize to them?

It was their honor that she graced them with her visit.

Besides, they liked her. Not only was she tough, but she was lowkey as well. She didn’t use her power to suppress others. If they didn’t have the information, they wouldn’t even know that she owns 20% of the mall’s shares at all.

Where else can they find such a humble shareholder?

Looking at her, she was the kind of shareholder who would not make things difficult for them. They couldn’t help but like her, despite not getting a full answer.

While Diamond was merrily chatting with the CEO heading towards the elevator, since the mood to continue shopping was done, Portia dejectedly left the shop, ignoring the mocking gazes of many.

When she was in the shop, those girls had graciously and generously shown her who Diamond was and honestly, she was quite shocked.

That was the first time that she had seen someone with so many followers on different social media apps, and more so, more than her by several folds. How was that possible?

Seeing how the girls were talking, Portia knew instantly that the girls were fans. And brain-dead fans were the scariest of them all. Fortunately, with the way Diamond had dealt with her previous enemies before, she got lucky and didn’t suffer much.

Of course, getting slapped like that didn’t sit well with her at all, but when she spotted Diamond chatting merrily with the shopping mall’s CEO and the directors. And how those people were respectful towards Diamond, Portia suddenly had an inkling that Diamond’s status wasn’t that simple.

After seeing her information online, she admitted to herself, though unwillingly, that she was rich and didn’t lack money, the way she accused Diamond of earlier.

However, seeing the rich girl, she underestimated before, getting treated respectfully like that, Portia felt her back drenched in sweat.

’Oh my goodness! I might have chewed more than I can swallow!’ she cried without any tears, now wondering if she should follow the bet or what.

Ring. Ring. Ring.

While pondering about that issue, her phone started ringing and when she saw the caller ID, a bad premonition suddenly fell on her.

However, the call still needed to be answered, no matter what. So, despite her shaky hand, she still swiped the screen and placed the phone against her ear, answering, "Mom!"

And a dejected expression graced her face the more she listened to her mother talking.

When the call ended, she stomped her feet furiously before storming towards the elevator with a dark face.

Portia didn’t see Diamond anywhere and didn’t even bother to wonder where she had gone.

After all, when she reached the parking lot, she found several familiar cars waiting for her.

Without making a fuss, Portia entered one of the cars, kept her mouth shut, closed her eyes and just let the driver take her home.

With how furious her mother was, she knew that she was in serious trouble.

There was nothing that she could do right now, except accept defeat and go with the flow.

Meanwhile, at the shopping mall, Diamond and the twins didn’t leave as Portia might have thought but were currently being hosted by the mall’s directors.
