Chapter 392: Chapter 390: SHOPPING WITH THE TWINS 2
Walking towards the elevator with four bodyguards in plain clothes, Precious’s sly smile hung on her face as she playfully asked Diamond, "Sis, do you think that we might be lucky and come across a face-slapping scene today?"
Diamond scoffed upon hearing that but still responded, her eyes rolling at the other. "Do you think that life is like a novel where these scenes appear all the time?"
Precious stuck her tongue out as she scrunched her face playfully at Diamond and said, "You never know! My dreams always come true!"
Diamond gave the other a side eye before stepping into the elevator the bodyguards had kindly held open for the three of them.
Patience chuckled seeing Diamond ignoring Precious and that angered Precious.
"What are you laughing at?" she asked angrily as she followed Diamond into the elevator while glaring at Patience.
Patience rolled her eyes at Precious as she went to stand next to Diamond while avoiding her twin sister before answering, "Laughing at you!"
Feeling a bit discontent with the answer, Precious retorted, "Is that funny?"
"It’s not funny, but damn girl, you think that we can just come across something crazy every day?"
"We can. After all, this is one of the major shopping malls in Strawford. We have a lot of celebrities lingering around this mall all the time. Who knows if some poor girl accidentally trips and makes a certain celebrity’s dress rip and then the fire starts?" Precious retorted with an exaggerated plotline, which made Diamond feel that if Precious could write, she might make it.
After all, one of the major needs that an author can’t do without is creativity. Having an imaginative mind can be very helpful for fiction writers. It takes a toll on the mind.
With the bickering between the three of them, the elevator shortly stopped on the first floor.
The shopping mall has seven floors. Starting from the ground floor all the way to the sixth floor.
The ground floor has a lot of restaurants and bank offices, so it wasn’t the kind of floor the girls wanted to see now.
They were still full, so the food court was a big NO.
On the first floor, that’s where the clothing, jewelry and other shops were. Of course, there weren’t any major brands found there, but clothes are clothes sometimes.
That was more of the case for Diamond. There were a lot of unknown brands out there, with great quality clothes and yet because no one popular found them, they remained in the dark forever.
She was someone who nowadays prefers to buy clothes that make her blood race despite the brand name.
Just because she is an internet celebrity of some sort, does that mean that she must only wear big brands?
Who came up with that rule?
When the elevator doors opened, what greeted the seven of them was a small group of people waiting for the normal elevator.
The seven of them exited the elevator without giving others a thought. They were all strangers, so why show some courtesy?
However, just because they don’t know others, doesn’t mean that others don’t know them. But what does that have to do with them?
Patience frowned as she looked at the first floor. Honestly, she had never toured the lower floors before.
All the brands which she and her sister like were from the fourth to the sixth floor.
The lower floors sold clothes which were too cheap for them to feel good when wearing. They were people who needed to maintain their face and image all the time.
If the paparazzi take photos of them and write their bullshit online, where would they put their faces?
Now, however, under Diamond’s lead, they could only come to this floor, but Patience still couldn’t help but be worried.
So, she grabbed Diamond’s elbow, making the other turn her head to look at her and ask, "What’s wrong?" a puzzled look on her face.
Patience licked her lips nervously but still mustered her courage to ask, "Sis, this ... are you sure that it’s okay lingering around here?" her voice lowered, and her statement loud enough for Diamond to hear only.
Upon hearing that, Diamond chuckled lightly, finding Patience’s actions a bit too cute. Nevertheless, she had an inkling and an understanding as to why the other was asking such a question.
"Patience, who are you?" Diamond suddenly asked, startling Patience, who wasn’t sure why Diamond was asking such a question.
As Diamond’s question was a bit loud, Precious, who was looking around with a frown in her voice, also heard that question. She couldn’t help but stare at the two, wondering what they were talking about for that kind of question to be raised.
Feeling puzzled by the question, Patience asked, "Sis, what do you mean" her tone filled with confusion.
Diamond didn’t get upset but smiled instead as her gaze shifted from Patience and then Precious.
She hooked her arms around the two girls and started leading them to the shops as she said, her voice very soft and soothing to the ears. "You are the Ace’s daughters. The proud daughters of your parents. Your family has enough money to last generations and whatever you do, people will talk whatever they say, but can you stop them?"
Diamond’s words quite took aback the girls. They weren’t expecting to hear such words at a time like this at all. But Diamond wasn’t done speaking.
"If you continue to mind what other people will say or think about you. Are you telling me that if they ask you to go and die, will you go ahead and do so?" Diamond asked, her tone a bit icy as she glared at the two girls.
Badum. Badum. Badum.
The twins’ hearts pounded like crazy, not with excitement, but with fear. Seeing Diamond like this suddenly reminded them of the time when Diamond flared up during a live broadcast and many people suffered heavy losses that day.
They couldn’t help but shudder with fear, afraid of what she might do or say next if she got upset talking about this.
So, they hurriedly shook their heads and mumbled a reply, "No."
Suddenly, a smile blossomed on Diamond’s face, definitely happy with what she had just heard.
"That’s good!" she applauded them, nodding her head with satisfaction before continuing, "The fact that you were born richer than others made you start your race far ahead of others and that is not your fault."
"Just because you are rich doesn’t mean that you aren’t allowed to live your life as you want to do it. Will your company go bankrupt just because you bought a few unknown brand clothes?"
