SIGNING IN: BEING SHOWERED BY HEAVENLY BLESSINGS FOR FIVE YEARS -
Chapter 388 - 385: ACE FAMILY 2
Chapter 388: Chapter 385: ACE FAMILY 2
When she alighted from the car, the twins graciously took her suitcase and bags, leaving Diamond to walk freely without any burdens.
Dean watched from the corner of his eyes at how his good sisters could change into completely different people when Diamond was around.
The twins were truly chameleons, very capable of changing colors as if it were nothing.
"Sis, this is our house. Isn’t it pretty?" Patience boastfully said as she looked at Diamond, who had a smile on her face.
Diamond was checking the villa.
It was quite enormous, much bigger than her Cherry Court villa. It made her wonder just how many rooms were in that place that hadn’t been used.
With how small the Ace family was. Especially in this branch. There was no way they could fill every room there.
However, that wasn’t an issue. Rich people tend to live big and the spaces were great when it comes to housing guests in the future as well.
Just like her, she was in love with big spaces a lot. Maybe the fact that she grew up a bit poor and shared a small bedroom with her sister without any privacy turned her into this today.
She didn’t hate it, rather she loved it so much.
She has the money to live in a big house, so why not enjoy it?
"It’s very big! I like it!!" Diamond sincerely responded as she looked back to Patience with a smile on her face.
Hearing that praise, Patience felt even more proud. She started telling Diamond about the villa and its specialties. Diamond was all smiles as she finally walked through the doors of the villa, she had heard so much about.
As soon as they entered the doors, Diamond saw a pretty lady, young for her age, wearing a smile as she waited for them.
This lady was Anita, the three’s mother and the current matriarch of the Ace family.
Walking towards them with a smile on her face, Anita warmly said as she opened her arms, "Welcome to our humble abode, Diamond!" her tone was very affectionate, making Diamond feel at home straight away.
With such open arms directed at her, Diamond stretched her own saying in response, "Thank you for welcoming me!" a smile blooming on her face.
"Hehe, after hearing so much about you, I am very pleased to see you here!" Anita mentioned as the two embraced each other in a light hug.
Before pulling away, Diamond chuckled lightly as she responded to that, "I can attest the same for you as well."
Anita grinned, liking this Diamond more and more. Seeing someone on screen was different from seeing in person, after all.
The two greeted each other and quickly became acquainted.
Maybe it was because Diamond’s affinity with adults was greater, but she just couldn’t stop talking once she was seated with Anita.
"Hehe, I guess we are both the same in that aspect!" Diamond slapped her thigh in excitement, bursting into laughter after hearing what Anita had just said.
Anita squinted her eyes into crescents. She felt like she had found a bosom friend in Diamond.
"Haha, I always tell my husband that. In life, if we continue to live for others, then when will it be our turn?"
Diamond nodded in agreement, hearing that. "Indeed. We will spend the rest of our lives faking it and pretending that all is well when it’s not. I can’t have that. I would rather let the world condemn me while I live my true life!"
Anita reached out to Diamond and took her hand in hers. "I just hope that you will remain like this!" Anita sighed, a complicated expression on her face.
Diamond patted Anita’s hand in comfort and responded smilingly, "Hehe, don’t worry. The time of me living, according to other people’s wishes, is gone already!"
"Phew!" Anita sighed relievedly upon hearing that, a smile emerging on her face again.
The twins watched as their mother and friend, aka sister, talked like bosom friends who had known each other for decades.
They both looked at Dean with a wronged expression. Dean wanted badly to chuckle and laugh at them. After all, who would have foreseen that things would change so pretty fast like that?
The girls lost their thunder, and it was because of their mother. How can that not be surprising?
As a brother, however, there was nothing that he could do. Interfering in the matters of women was something a man must never do. The issue might end up becoming his, and there was no way he was going to be dragged into this mess.
The two ladies spoke happily for a while until the twins decided that it had gone too far.
"Mother, aren’t we going to show Sis her room?" they reminded coldly, making Anita chuckle with embarrassment.
"Haha, I was going to do so later!" she nevertheless waved her hand, brushing away the embarrassment with a chuckle, earning snorts from the twins who she wished she could punish right there. But with Diamond there, how could she do something like that?
In the end, the girls won and Anita was forced to halt her wonderful conversation with Diamond to show her the room that had been prepared meticulously for her ever since the girls arranged that show.
Diamond maintained a smile on her face, watching the mother and kids clawing at each other like cats with words. Seeing them like that, she felt even happier. The family was one and very close to each other.
It would be stifling if they weren’t close, but forcing things. Such a place was suffocating to stay at. She would rather spend some of her money at the hotel than stay with such a family.
Thankfully, the Ace family members were close and very good to each other.
With the twins seeking trouble, Diamond finally saw the guest bedroom that had been prepared for her. Honestly, she was quite amazed. It was grand and to her taste.
Diamond just like every other person out there has her own favorite colors, though at times they change depending on her mood.
But her basic favorite colors were blue, gold, magenta, charcoal grey and burgundy.
Of course, there were other colors like yellow, orange and so forth. She likes them as well, but those were her favorite.
