Chapter 374: Chapter 371: CATCHING UP

Despite being in touch with her staff, there were things which Diamond had to do in person even if she didn’t want to.

And that made her so busy, she didn’t have to rest at all as soon as she returned to Frin.

The next day after her arrival, that morning, Diamond visited the foundation where she held a very long meeting and listened to all heads of departments and projects.

Since the foundation mainly dealt with spending money more than receiving it, it was nice to hear what they were using it for. Though Andrea was keeping an eye on all that for her from day one.

It was nice to hear the progress of certain projects which they discussed when the year started.

When the year started, Diamond wanted the foundation staff to form teams which would be in charge of GBV (Gender Based Violence) cases, teen internships, social issues, workshops, the orphanage and disaster prevention programs.

So far, the teams for all projects have already formed. The HR department had been busy recruiting suitable people for the jobs, so some of the teams were recently formed and the projects hadn’t officially kicked off, which wasn’t too bad.

One of the major issues currently being faced by everyone is regarding the orphanage. They were busy looking for a suitable orphanage to buy or take over. They had managed to find a few that they thought were likeable and all that remained was to hear Diamond’s decision.

So, during that meeting, after checking everything and with Ace’s help, Diamond ended up picking an orphanage which was closer to the school she was rewarded with some time ago.

If the orphanage and the school were closer, the kids might just attend that school in the future rather than be ostracized by other students because of their circumstances.

All that remained was to negotiate and see when and what could be done to acquire that orphanage. That job was left for Kiara, her personal lawyer, who had been doing a great job ever since she started.

For all the other projects, she believed that they would move swiftly. As for the disaster prevention programs, throw some money and continue uploading on social media platforms.

Diamond was planning to endorse the foundation. With her popularity, she believed that the foundation’s work wouldn’t go unnoticed. However, she would have to plan carefully and not just rush into doing it.

She didn’t want to jeopardize the foundation. There were too many haters out there and if they decided to play tricks on her, the foundation might be affected. And she didn’t want to see that happening.

When the meeting of the foundation ended, Diamond felt very much alive. Fortunately, she didn’t come across any troubling issues or fishy employees. She would hate it if there was someone with other motives lingering around her foundation.

Money, she has a lot, but not for anyone to plunder and misappropriate it. Money didn’t fall from the sky after all. You need to earn for it somehow. Either now or in the future.

She had lunch with everyone that afternoon before she moved to the next place, the grocery shop.

She was relieved to see a lot of people queuing and buying. However, when she held a meeting with Cindy and Agatha, she was enlightened.

The demand had surpassed the supply and a lot of customers on a daily basis couldn’t even buy what they wanted. So, it was a bit hectic. The shop was small, so expansion was required.

Hearing all that, she couldn’t help but recall a few buildings she had purchased before going to Dielas.

She didn’t have to worry about that issue. If she includes the three-story that the first grocery shop was, she still has three more buildings waiting to be occupied.

So, she discussed that with the girls and had them contact Nancy to deal with that issue.

Some of the places needed a bit of renovation before they could be used.

She didn’t need to worry about the supply. Her dimensional space had plenty, and it was ready to be sold. However, the supply problem made her realize that her farm might not be as huge as she thought in the first place.

If it was, how come they weren’t meeting the demand? She might as well start thinking of buying more farms. This would help her to cover the dimensional space.

As long as there was a source of water, no one would be suspicious about anything. That would be the case, especially when there was a drought like this. It was normal for some water sources to continue striving despite the hard times.

She received a second water seed. If she found a farm, she was going to use it and keep the farm functional.

After dealing with Cindy and Agatha, Diamond met Nancy and Kiara at a private restaurant for an early dinner and a meeting.

During the meeting, Diamond listened to the extensive reports on the companies which she was most concerned about.

The five-story building fortunately got completed, and it was ready for use.

Nancy had been busy seeking employees, leaving most of the problem to Diamond who had unfortunately forgotten about something important, hiring the people who would be in charge of heading these businesses for her.

That couldn’t be helped. Fortunately, she wasn’t in a hurry. And probably by the start of March, these two companies sharing the building would start operating.

She just needed to refer the people Andrea would give her to Nancy and Kiara, and let the two do a thorough interview to find the suitable people at the end of the day.

On Kiara’s side, she was happy to hear that all law cases involving her were settled. All assets were filed and she wasn’t owing the government a single cent. Not that Andrea would let that happen. There was nothing as embarrassing as getting sued by the tax revenues for not paying taxes or getting sued at labor court for not paying wages.

She didn’t want to be such a person.

At this meeting, Diamond informed the two ladies of the new assignments regarding the foundation and the grocery shops.

When everything was discussed, Diamond droves back to the Cherry Court villa in the Dentley she managed to finally take out earlier that morning.

It was a long day, one which she ended with several calls not going through. For the umpteenth time in more than a week, Diamond failed to reach her lovers once again.

Just how busy are they?

She wondered as she drifted to sleep.
