Chapter 371: Chapter 368: GHOST MERCHANTS 2

After having her manor purified, who would be so foolish to try that trick? However, as if some storm riders were giving her a visit, as soon as the flickering stopped, a group of ten people appeared in the middle of the living room, all dressed in black cloaks.

Seeing that, Diamond nearly freaked out. After all, when had she ever seen someone doing that except her?

Was this the extent of the ghost merchants’ power? She couldn’t help but be amazed when she saw them.

"Since you are here, take a seat. I believe that we have a lot to talk about!" keeping her calm though her heart was pounding like crazy, she said to the ten.

Orlon, the leader, took a seat while the other nine stood respectively, giving the two of them space to talk.

With Orlon here, Diamond went straight to the point and began to talk business. Orlon delivered the grain as she suggested and everywhere they went, people were grateful, despite not knowing who the good Samaritan was.

He also took out some rare items he found from the trip and gave them all to Diamond. It was mostly pearls and wild fruits, which were good. After all, she didn’t ask for much for the first trip.

"There are still a lot of places that are still lacking in terms of food and ...." Orlon never thought that one day he would find himself feeling so compassionate like that.

However, he couldn’t be blamed. After seeing the great difference between the rich and the poor, he no longer found his mistress’s actions to be impulsive.

Hearing that, Diamond nodded her head. People were indeed suffering and giving a bit more wouldn’t hurt, so she agreed with Orlon on that.

"Don’t worry, I will give you a greater share. You help distribute it to the places you see need it the most. For now, just distribute in Athary. Once that is done, I will see which country to target next!" without pondering much, Diamond said.

Orlon nodded his head, relieved to see that she wasn’t opposing him, but agreed with him on his suggestion.

There were a lot of things which Diamond wanted the ghost merchants to do. So, she gave them the hot artefacts which she was planning on sending back to their owners.

"You help me deliver this back to their rightful owners. Don’t leave a name. It’s not good to attract too much attention. Apparently, we have a lot of crouching tigers hidden all over!" as she thought of the apocalyptic man’s diary, she shivered.

She wasn’t the only person who knew how to use spiritual energy. There were a lot of people everywhere. Due to the scarcity of energy, these people simply went into seclusion.

She didn’t want to force these people out of seclusion and target her. She was simply too precious.

Diamond gave the merchants more instructions and gave them a few bottles of pills. She wanted to be sold on the mystical market, also known as the white market where pills, elixirs and other mystical items were sold.

It was different from the underground market, where a person could buy weapons and other illegal items. However, the best way to find the mystical market was also through this market.

Unfortunately, she didn’t want to have any association with this dark market, so she went straight for the white market.

Diamond gave the merchants double the grain of what she gave them last time. There was still a lot in the Golden Space, despite taking out that much.

Lastly, she gave them some gifts. These people, despite being tied to her by force to atone for their wrongdoings, didn’t feel good when using people for free.

She didn’t even know how they were getting paid by the system. She just wanted them to work for her wholeheartedly, despite their unfortunate beginnings.

These people had families, kids and relatives despite being the scourge of society before.

However, that didn’t mean that they didn’t deserve a second chance in life. And now that they were working for her, she might as well just support them as best as she can.

So, she gave all of them water pills, and body strengthening pills for personal use. Although they could rely on their magical abilities of being ghost merchants, when they aren’t on the job, what if they are vulnerable and get into misshape halting her plans in the middle due to that?

So, letting their bodies be in great shape was a good idea and at the same time, she would have these people be loyal to her wholeheartedly instead of doing the job for the sake of it.

After giving them what she wanted, she sent them away, leaving her alone in the room once more.

With the ghost merchants dealt with, Diamond received a message from Andrea from the secret base. Eager to see what this baby of hers had been up for days, Diamond used the secret passages to the secret base.

And to reach there faster, she activated her ghost steps and in a matter of moments she was looking at a small pile of gold bars. On the other side, two robots were completed, and they both looked humanoid and better than they were when they were just scraps of metal.

However, more scraps were still on the ground and judging from the amount, Andrea’s work was just starting. She couldn’t help but feel sorry for her son at this moment.

{Mother, the gold is all done. And to satisfy your vanity, I had all the bars imprinted with your initials. I don’t think that you will be using those any time soon!} With a smug tone, he said to her, making Diamond pick one bar before bursting into satisfied laughter.

On the bars, she saw her name DIAMOND written there just like Andrea said, and they were numbered as well. All the gold coins that she looted from the secret room managed to give her twenty bars. And all of them were numbered from one to twenty.

Seeing them, she found them much more pleasing to the eyes. Just as he said, using the gold wasn’t what she wanted with them. She had enough money to last her several generations, and using gold was still farfetched.

Seeing the gold, however, especially with her name on it, made her feel as if she had achieved something great in life.

"I love this, son. Thank you!" she said gratefully, grinning sheepishly as she fondled the bar with so much affection.

{I am glad that you like it. How about I tell you what I have achieved so far?}

"Sure. Go ahead!" she eagerly said as she looked around, anticipating to hear every single word.

And just like that, the mother and son spent some quality time together. Something that they haven’t done in the past few days.
