Chapter 366: Chapter 363: SECRETS

The manor before she took it over was last occupied a century ago before the strange sighting started, causing the owners to abandon the idea of living in such luxury.

In order to pull other people to buy the place, despite the many risks and dangers people wanted to avoid, the castle was renovated several times, leading to its current state, which was then further changed when Diamond took over.

That process was done through Andrea, a decision that she would never regret. Andrea’s projects were always successful and she would never take that achievement away from him.

As the people who last lived at the manor weren’t the original people who started living there, and neither did the architect and owner of the manor in the first place, many secrets were hidden and it seemed like not many people managed to find them in the first place.

The first secret was the car elevator, a feature which she was certain that if not thoroughly checked, no one would even think that the mountain was like that in the first place.

It was a perfect hidden place which could be used for a lot of things. Not that she was planning to do anything with it.

Unfortunately, the elevator didn’t have much impact on her than the secret that she had just found out from Andrea.

After leaving the gazebo, Diamond went to the courtyard, which was for her personal use. It was the place where the other secret lies and she was eager to take a look at it first.

"Dear, are you sure that it’s in here?" with a skeptical look on her face Diamond asked as she looked around the bedroom which didn’t have much in it.

{Go to the walk-in closet first. I will direct you when you are in there!} Andrea responded, his tone doting.

Diamond, hearing that, furrowed her brows for a bit before she followed Andrea’s instructions.

When she entered the closet, more instructions followed.

Diamond walked to the far-left corner of the closet a bit skeptical, but still did as Andrea had told her.

{Push the wall in at the same level as your waist!} A weird instruction came and Diamond, who was eager for treasures, did as Andrea said.

As soon as she touched that part of the wall, she felt a surge in her body, which made her eyes light up. Something was hiding there, and she was going to find it.

With a slight push, a cracking sound was heard and her ears, being as sensitive as they were, quickly found where the sound was coming from. And when her gaze shifted to that place, her jaws dropped to the ground.

Beneath the display where she presumed jewelry and other things would be placed, a hidden staircase was revealed.

The display literally shifted from its original place as if a mechanism was put into place, revealing the staircase, which she was certain would lead her to a very interesting place.

"Now what?" she asked as she held her waist with her hands, her eyes twinkling as they looked in that dark passage.

{Now you go in. I have sent the drone in already and nothing is threatening as of yet!} came the response.

Diamond nodded her head and took a step forward to the unknown. She didn’t know what she was going to see once she walked in there, but she had a feeling that it should be something good.

People who were fond of building secret tunnels were either very corrupt and had a lot to hide or needed safe passages to escape if things went awry. Or they were officials in high positions and their jobs were very risky.

However, from what she knew, the Lindwens had never officials before, which left her thinking as she walked in the passage which had been lit by the drone. He might have been rich and very corrupt.

For people like them, Diamond was certain that if she managed to find something, it was going to be very good.

She just hoped that she would find some good antiques while she was at it. The market for antiques was a good one and making money and losing it, all happened within a blink of an eye.

Who didn’t want to appreciate some historical artefacts?

Fortunately, as she walked, she didn’t sense any danger at all, so she was at ease and took her time to come up with several conspiracy theorems.

{Ahead, there are three forks. Let’s investigate them one by one and see what we get!} Andrea’s voice sounded in her ear once again.

Diamond accepted what her son was suggesting and took the first path, which he felt was necessary to take.

The first path led to a dead end. At least that was what Andrea thought until Diamond placed her hands on the walls and let her senses do their magic.

At that moment, she felt her spiritual bond heating up, and the sensation was quite new and nerve-wracking. Fortunately, it disappeared quickly however; it left her with a new gift. Her vision seemed to have been amplified and using that chance as fast as she could without thinking much, her lips curled upwards as her gaze fixated on a certain part of the wall a few metres away from the dead end.

"What a cunning bastard?" she amusedly cursed as she walked towards that part.

{Mother, did you find something?}

Smiling as she stopped in front of the wall, she responded, "Um. There is something. Just wait and let mommy see what is hiding in there!" her tone filled with utmost confidence.

{Don’t get hurt!}

"I won’t!" and she meant it.

With a slight push, infusing some spiritual energy into the wall, a creaking sound filled the empty passage, making Diamond smile happily.

This person really knew how to hide. But why was she seeing something related to spiritual energy in this world? That was the first time that she had seen it in person. After all, she had heard something related about it from Andrea.

The black market where Andrea wanted her to sell her pills was somehow related to cultivation, after all. Could it be that before the world was filled with spiritual energy and the system was trying to make her some heroine who would save the world?

She didn’t sign for that when she was bound with the system. She was here to do some charity and live peacefully with her family. And not do some heroine stuff. That wasn’t her at all.

She was a bit confused at this moment. However, without taking a step further into that room, how could she get the answers that she was seeking?

With conviction and a fan in hand, she walked into the room, which got suddenly bright as the drone; lit the whole room.

Looking at the room, Diamond suddenly blurted out, "What the heck is this?" a dumbfounded expression on her face.
