Chapter 357: Chapter 354: BANQUET

Vivian shook her head helplessly as she led Diamond to the hall where the banquet was being held and said, "Not really. I don’t really like those ladies at all. If it wasn’t for my husband who is acquaintances with their parents, I wouldn’t bother with them at all."

Upon hearing that, Diamond couldn’t help but gawk in surprise. She didn’t expect their relationship to be like that at all.

"But won’t they complain to their parents?" Diamond was a bit troubled by that, especially after knowing the connection.

Vivian chuckled lightly after hearing that and responded, "Even if they complained. It’s not like we will lose anything. My husband isn’t someone to be underestimated. Don’t worry about it."

"If it’s like that, then I am relieved."

"I just worry about you. After all, those six are unreasonable, especially the one in black. Her name is Anne Richards and her family is in the banking industry. If you know RNB Bank, that one belongs to them and they are ....." since they have already caused trouble, Vivian felt that it was important that she gave Diamond some crucial information about who they have offended by defending themselves.

{You don’t have to worry about them. I have already sent all the data of the six to your phone. Their companies don’t even compare to you. You just give me a sign and I will make their lives miserable tonight!}

While Vivian explained, Andrea was busy giving her an update as well, which made her smile involuntarily, pleased with how efficient he was at dealing with this kind of stuff.

"Don’t worry Vivian. As long as they are not from the presidential family, then nothing will scare me. What will a mere banking family do to me?" she sneered as she recalled how much that family was worth.

In Atharian terms, if she were to put the value of her net assets in monetary terms, she would be a quadrillionaire or even more. After all, she has a lot of money in the universal dollar, which, when converted to Atharian dollars, would leave even the richest man in Athary with shame.

So, what does a bank worth several billions have to make her scared?

Nevertheless, she was grateful for Vivian’s worry and her loyalty in this case. She didn’t throw her under the bus or pretend as if she didn’t know her but stood by her side.

That was already enough.

Vivian, on the other hand, was a bit taken aback after hearing Diamond’s nonchalant response. However, recalling how she was able to take out special pills like that which earned her a hundred thousand in a second, and how it was because of them that she managed to get invited even though it was at the last minute, she didn’t have any words to refute at all.

In the end, the two friends swiftly changed the topic and started talking about other things.

Following behind the two ladies were three beautifully dressed, mature ladies. As Diamond and Vivian weren’t whispering to each other, it was not that difficult for them to hear a word or two of what they were speaking about.

And hearing familiar names being included in the conversation, they couldn’t help but look at each other, astonishment written all over their faces.

"Who do you think that girl is? I have never seen her before!"

"I am just curious how she got her hands on that gown. I remember hearing someone telling me that it can’t be sold!"

Meanwhile, Diamond and Vivian finally entered the hall.

Diamond took a look around and noticed that the hall was filled with well-dressed ladies.

Everyone was reeking of money. It was like a banquet held for showing off. Those who couldn’t afford to dress up wouldn’t dare to come to such a kind of banquet at all.

It was the second time, no third time, that she was attending such a banquet.

The first time she attended a birthday banquet in Frin where she met with Dorcas, Theresa’s cousin.

It was thanks to Dorcas that Theresa knew that she was alive and kicking, thereby telling Queen forcing her to be invited to the reunion which she then attended with Kian.

The second banquet was the one which she attended in Dielas again and with Kisha. It was a special day when she gained a few loyal customers who had been buying her products through Kisha now and then.

And this one was the third banquet. Seeing so many ladies in one place, Diamond, who had weathered the storm and fought several rounds of online battling, found herself at ease despite being surrounded by unfamiliar faces.

"Let me take you to Mrs. Hamilton. She had been eager to meet up with you!" with a trembling voice full of excitement, Vivian said as she pulled Diamond along without giving her room to ponder over it.

Walking towards the other side of the hall where a lady in black and white stood, surrounded by several ladies doing their best to flatter the other, Diamond posed a question which she could have forgotten about if Vivian hadn’t brought up the host’s name.

"Can you tell me again how I ended up being invited here in the first place?"

From what she heard; Mrs. Hamilton was very picky when it came to the people who she invited to her banquets. And yet there she was, a complete stranger attending the same banquet. What was happening? She couldn’t help but wonder.

"Haha, I forgot to explain this to you since I was too excited. She is an acquaintance with my husband and when I called you, we were at her house. Apparently, after seeing my and my husband’s improved state, she was quite curious, so I told her about you. Fascinated by what you can take out, she was eager to meet with you. As a result, here you are!" Vivian’s eyes squinted happily as she narrated. "So, today’s banquet, just consider it as making connections and, at the same time, an opportunity to make money."

And that was exactly what Diamond loved hearing.

Make money. Who didn’t want to make more?
