Chapter 354 - 351: IS THAT HOW YOU TREAT YOUR WIFE?
Chapter 354: Chapter 351: IS THAT HOW YOU TREAT YOUR WIFE?
Diamond didn’t need to be told twice as once he said those words, she hurriedly scurried away and headed to a royal blue mermaid gown with a train on one side and adorned with diamonds along the left shoulder, all the way to the right waist side.
The gown looked pretty. Maybe it was the diamonds which pulled her in or how the dress seemed to cover the floor as she pictured herself wearing it. However, what she knew was that she had fallen for one dress and still had more to go.
The second gown which took her heart was a chocolate brown one-shoulder column gown. The designer used sparkling gems on the bodice, which made it very enticing for her.
It seemed that the designer was very fond of using gems in his works.
After looking around all the gowns which she obviously loved, in the end, she picked a silver tulle V-neck trumpet gown. It was a color she didn’t have in her collection and it looked high profile and yet at the same time, lowkey.
The other colors were too bright and would put her in the spotlight, which might offend the host. She couldn’t go around dressed in red, blue or yellow to someone else’s banquet. She didn’t want to attract hate when all she wanted was to have some fun.
For shoes, she picked a pair of rose gold heels and a navy blue clutch. As for jewelry, she didn’t bother to pick any. What she has in her jewelry box, the one she was certain that Sullivan hadn’t touched yet, was much better compared to what she saw there.
"I will pick these!" not bothering with the other gowns, Diamond informed Sullivan.
Sullivan had been watching, so he knew what she loved the most and so forth. So, when he saw her picking the silver, he smilingly nodded at her before turning to the butler, saying, "You tell him that we picked these three. I will deal with him when he returns!"
The butler nodded in acknowledgement before saying, "I will help you pack."
Diamond naturally passed the gown, shoes and bag to the butler, who began to package them nicely.
In the meantime, the couple watched with interest but never once did Sullivan urge Diamond to pick a few more gowns, and Diamond seemed to have forgotten about it as well.
Twenty minutes later, the couple were leaving the house with the items they had picked, smiles on their faces. Whether it’s genuine or fake, who knows?

"Babes, are you done?" Sullivan called out for Diamond as he checked the time on his wristwatch.
The clock was ticking, and Diamond was once again taking her time when it came to dressing. Had she forgotten that it would take a while before they arrived at the hotel where the banquet was going to be held?
"I am nearly done. Give me a few seconds!" Diamond called out in response, making Sullivan shake his head helplessly.
’I guess I can only wait!’
What else could he do?
So, as he waited for her, Sullivan started playing with his phone. He clicked on his chat with Kian and when he saw the last seen time stamp.
It’s been days since he was online. He could guess that whatever Kian was working on right now was much more serious than he thought.
When he was about to leave ChatLine to check his emails ignoring the several unread messages sent by friends and acquaintances, a message suddenly entered, leaving him no chance to ignore.
[It’s been a while, darling? I heard that you got yourself a girlfriend behind my back. How could you do this to me?]
Seeing and reading that message, Sullivan’s heart started pounding so loudly that it felt as if the heart would jump out of his chest right there.
Typing furiously on his phone, a message was sent shortly, his heart unsettled.
"Who the heck are you? And what does it matter if I get myself a girlfriend or not? Stop harassing me!"
Not caring about how the other person got his private number, Sullivan lost his cool and replied harshly.
However, the other party wasn’t to be underestimated, as a response came quickly as well.
[Darling, it truly hurt my hurt. I thought we only had a quarrel and after leaving you for a couple of years, you would cool down. But you dare to cheat on me in such a high-profile manner? Sullivan, is that how you treat your wife?]
"Badum, badum, badum," he could hear his heart thumping loudly in his ears as certain memories he thought he had forgotten since it’s been years began to flood back.
What was happening? Was that her? How could this be possible?
All sorts of questions filled his mind, as he held the phone with his trembling hand, frozen in spot and lost in deep thoughts.
That was the state Diamond found Sullivan as she hurried downstairs since she didn’t want Sullivan to be upset with her.
Looking at him, she couldn’t help but wonder what made him enter such a state. Nevertheless, she still walked up to him and shook him lightly on the shoulder, making him shudder as he seemed to be jolted back to reality.
"Dear, are you okay?" Diamond asked worriedly, seeing that there was something very wrong with him.
Sullivan massaged his temples as he took in a deep breath before responding, "It’s fine. I was lost in thoughts!"
Diamond, hearing that, looked suspiciously at Sullivan, not accepting this brush of an answer.
Sullivan, seeing that, chuckled faintly as he explained himself, "I was checking on Kian a while ago but he is not online. Just a bit worried since I haven’t talked to him for a while," lying without batting an eye in the process.
Diamond, hearing that, nodded her head as she acknowledged this explanation. Kian had been offline for days, so she couldn’t reach him as well. Just what exactly could he be doing?
"He should be fine. When he is done, he will contact us!" with an assuring tone Diamond comforted Sullivan.
Sullivan smiled grimly, feeling a bit guilty for lying to Diamond, but could he possibly give her an answer and expose himself?
He didn’t dare.
