Chapter 332 - 329: SHE IS STRONGER THAN YOU THINK

Chapter 332: Chapter 329: SHE IS STRONGER THAN YOU THINK

Ruby sighed for the umpteenth time as she looked at the incoming call, she had been trying her best to ignore in the past few minutes.

Who would have known and guessed that Diamond would reveal such shocking information online like that?

She didn’t know which gall bladder her sister had eaten to be so daring and bold like that, but what she knew right now was that she had become a target.

Whether she liked it or not, she would have to answer this call. Failure to do so, she didn’t know what the caller would do in the end. In the end, she looked apologetically at her new friend, Jackie, who had come for a study session.

"I need to pick up this call. Excuse me for a second!" Ruby said to Jackie before leaving the room and going to the terrace outside.

After closing the door and making sure that Jackie wouldn’t hear, she swiped the screen, answering the call, "Mom!"

[You ..... are you trying to spike my blood pressure? Why weren’t you answering?] her mother scolded as soon as the call was answered.

With her tone, Ruby could tell that she was angry. If it was her, she would be angry as well.

"Mom, relax and take it easy. You should understand how scary it is for me to answer your call right now. Don’t tell me you called me without calling Diamond?"

[You .... Fine, I didn’t call her. You want me to call and ask her what?]

"Mom, you know it deep in your heart what you want to ask. Since you called me, just ask me then!" she could only resign to her fate.

She wouldn’t dare ask Diamond at this moment. Who knew how angry she would be? With how she was talking, she didn’t dare think about how those who had offended her were faring.

With Andrea by her side, what wasn’t she capable of doing?

[Diamond, she .... Has she ever told you about this before?] her mother finally asked the question, which had been weighing on her mind for some time.

"Um, she did tell me about it. She gave me some life lessons before I started school. She said that she didn’t want me to repeat what she did in college. Rather than giving me a piece of meaningless advice, she used herself as an example," Ruby answered her mother, acknowledging that what Diamond had spoken was indeed true.

[This .... She ..... why didn’t she tell us? We would ... I ...]

"Mom, sister is proud as well. Didn’t she explain clearly? She didn’t want to be a burden. We all know that sister couldn’t match up to me before, something that she doesn’t deny even if you ask her today. Knowing that she just wanted to live a good life. Make everyone proud and compensate. Unfortunately, she met a bad egg."

"At least I am glad that the past is over and she moved on. With this story, we can now know how the sister ended up having her harem thoughts. Besides, we don’t have to worry much. Didn’t you see that Kian seems to know about the story as well? As long as we support her and make sure that something like that doesn’t happen again, everything will be fine!"

[I just feel bad. If we were a bit richer, then she wouldn’t have suffered like that. We spoiled her a lot only to have those people step on her! How dare they do that to her? Ruby, my heart aches a lot. I know that maybe at some point in time; you felt heartache with how we treated your sister and you differently!]

[Alas .... Ruby, you were born during the good days, not that I am using this as an excuse for how we treated you differently. Always remember and know that we love you so much. It’s just that we always felt as if owed her a lot. It was just too tough and at times we felt that it was our fault that she turned out that way. I ...]

Listening to her mother explaining herself and how she sounded guilty for everything, Ruby didn’t know how to respond.

She remembered clearly how unfair she had always felt. The way they treated Diamond was too exaggerated, and yet she was better than her in every way.

She had to live frugally while her sister had to be treated like a princess and yet there was nothing that she was good at. How could her parents be so biased like that?

Her sister barely returned home, so they didn’t grow up together as much as she could have wanted.

When she started working and left Srad for Frin, the whole family didn’t know what really happened, but one thing was for certain: Diamond stopped coming back home for good.

At least in the years, she didn’t show up, she never relegated her duties and would always send money to them diligently every month.

That made Ruby looks at her sister positively. Maybe all the hard work her parents had been putting into her was finally getting repaid.

Since she didn’t forget her family, Ruby started feeling that her sister wasn’t as worthless as she thought. After all, it was thanks to that money; that she was able to study at school without any worries.

Her parents’ burden was reduced and her sister finally became humane. But who would have known that her sister was hiding so many secrets?

Not only did she suffer such a fate worse than an animal, but got sick as well. She couldn’t even show her face in public.

Knowing all these stories after years made her reflect on many things and at the same time made all the anger and hate she had for her sister vanish.

Besides, after getting rich, Diamond didn’t forget her roots but did everything to uplift everyone. She was a good sister to her, and someone she would always love.

So, her mother’s guilt, she didn’t need to make things worse for her. She had already accepted everything a very long time ago.

It was things of the past, already.
