Simple and straightforward.

Those were the best two words she could use to describe the dinner Kian had prepared for her thoughtfully and wholeheartedly.

It wasn’t too fancy and complicated and yet it ticked all her favorite boxes, showing how much attentive he was when it came to her needs.

Unlike other ladies who loved being pretentious and preferring some exotic meals, Diamond loved traditional foods the most.

So, when she saw the plate of millet pap, spinach and roasted fish at the table, a smile blossomed on her face.

The meal versus the atmosphere didn’t match at all and yet she found it much more romantic than other types of dinners that scumbag took her to in the heydays.

"I love it, thank you!" Diamond sincerely said as she raised her eyes to look at the man who had prepared all this for her.

Kian smiled relievedly upon hearing that. When he picked the dishes earlier, he was afraid that he might have made the wrong choice.

Although she loved traditional food, would she get offended if he cooked one for her?

Besides, he had set the table with candles and flowers. And with such a setting, it was unexpected to find such a meal.

So, when he saw her being thankful and happy, he felt that heavy load vanishing off his shoulders.

It was a good thing that she liked it.

"I am glad. Please enjoy!"

"And you too dear!"

As a couple who once shared the same space, and ate together before, Diamond saw no reason to act all shy.

So, she enjoyed her food and wasn’t ashamed to show it.

Seeing her being at ease as she ate the food he had cooked, Kian felt very proud. It was the first time that he was cooking for his beloved, after all.

After the meal, Kian volunteered to do the dishes, which Diamond didn’t argue about. Rather than doing the dishes, she still had a contest to oversee online.

At this juncture, the one thousand participants had been chosen, and the competition was very fierce, but she was loving every moment of it.

Diamond heaved a sigh of relief as soon as that post was published. She thought of finishing the competition that night, but when she thought of the tension between her and Kian; she decided to satisfy her needs first. The fans can wait.

Besides, they will now canvass as many votes as they can to let their favorite contestants win. Wasn’t that a blessing for them?

So, after sending the post, Diamond put her phone on silent and put it very far away from her.

She went to the bathroom, where she brushed her teeth and rinsed her mouth. She double-checked herself to see if she was all set before returning to the bedroom.

As for Kian, after doing the dishes, he used another guestroom to take a shower before he headed to the master bedroom where his lady was waiting for him.

When he arrived, he found her on the sheets, watching TV with a smile on her face, chuckling whenever something funny came up.

"Are you done?" she asked as soon as she spotted him.

"Um, I am. Have you been waiting for long?"

"Not really. Besides, this show is pretty fun!" she responded as she shook her head lightly.

Diamond found herself engrossed in shows as soon as she switched the TV on. In Athary, in every major city, there were local channels which couldn’t be accessed by other cities.

The channel that she was watching was such a channel, so she found it very entertaining, as she was watching something new.

"Is it nice what you are watching?"

"It’s hilarious!" without looking at him, she responded as she chuckled after witnessing another round of mischief.

Kian sulked as he watched his lover being interested in the show rather than him. However, she couldn’t be blamed. He must have taken longer to come to her than she found something else to do.

But he would be changing that pretty soon.

So, Kian went to the bathroom and returned a while later wearing pajamas before joining Diamond on the bed.

As soon as he was on the bed, Diamond scooted over to him and made herself comfortable as she lay in his embrace.

That wasn’t her trying to provoke Kian, but just her acting as she felt like. Her boyfriend was on the same bed and same space as her, so why not lean on him and rely on him as she watched something nice.?

Unfortunately, that move she made innocently without any illicit thoughts in mind broke the last straw that Kian was hanging on.

And by the time she realized what she had done, a panting and not-so-gentlemanly Kian pinned Diamond on the bed.

Blinking her eyes cutely, her eyelashes fluttering as if a butterfly was flapping its wings, Diamond coyly asked the man hovering above her, fighting whatever beast was inside of him that moment, "Dear, did this lady do something wrong?"

And that did it.
