SIGNING IN: BEING SHOWERED BY HEAVENLY BLESSINGS FOR FIVE YEARS -
Chapter 279 - 277: GHOST MERCHANT TEAM 3
Chapter 279: Chapter 277: GHOST MERCHANT TEAM 3
As soon as the six men and four women got out of the cars, their gaze got fixated on one person. And despite their mixed and complicated thoughts at that moment, something in them made them automatically pay their obeisance to her.
"We greet you, lady!" the ten of them hurriedly said as they bowed their heads with their right hands on their chests.
Seeing them moving like robots at once, Diamond’s curiosity was once again piqued.
’Could it be that they are being controlled?’
"At ease, guys. We will be working alongside together for a very long time. And it will pain my heart if we are to chat like this!" while dismissing the team from getting so much into the master-servant thing, she took a few steps forward.
When the ten heard that, they straightened their backs as they looked at Diamond expressionlessly.
"Let’s go inside and have a small chat. I don’t want to waste each other’s time by doing unnecessary things!" Diamond seeing that the ten were a bit too indifferent, something that didn’t sit too well with her as she had been used to people being merry without being gloomy all the time, decided to end this as quickly as possible.
The ten hearing that, looked at each other before following Diamond and Garnet, who they were examining closely.
Everything that had happened to them in the past week was still very confusing and something that would make other people think that they were lunatics.
And yet all of that was caused by one person and she happened to be the harmless pretty girl who they could deal with a single snap of the neck.
And yet because of that thing, the thing which horrified them the most, they didn’t dare harbor such thoughts toward her. And what made it even more irritating was how weak their master was.
How could they be enslaved by such a person? It was still a mystery.
And looking at the other younger girl, whom they now assumed to be the bodyguard, there was something off about her. Something that made them curious about her and wonder how strong she was.
She was probably the strongest person they had ever come across, ever since they ventured into the dark side where they were unfortunate to end up falling into the master-servant contract, which wouldn’t be ending anytime soon.
Unfortunately, such answers would be difficult to get as they didn’t have the right to ask their master that.
Diamond brought the team into the office and since it wasn’t that big, only she and Will, who were roughly around 1.9m tall with a lean body and light brown-skinned.
He was handsome and carried a face which could contend with others for a very long time and possibly win awards. Unfortunately, this face wasn’t all that demure and gentle.
If she had met Will before she got the system, she would have been fooled. Even if she died, she wouldn’t know how she died. He was that dangerous. Fortunately, the person he was serving was her. And she didn’t believe that with all the tools combined, anyone was capable of killing her.
Besides, why go around looking for trouble when one could just live peacefully with others?
"First of all, I want to say that welcome to the family and with me here, you don’t have to worry about anything. Some of you might be willing or unwilling to serve me, but we all don’t have a choice here, do we?" she stated flatly as she spread her hands.
She didn’t do anything at all. All she did was receive a gift, and it was the system which bound these people into such a contract. But before they blame others, shouldn’t they reflect on how bad they were in the first place to be so unlucky?
She was quite surprised when she found out the previous occupation of these ten. Some were mercenaries, they plundered and killed for money. And that was the case for Will, whose hands had been tainted by too much blood. It would take a very long time for him to be cleansed.
Some of them were into pimping and that was the case for some ladies. Drug and human trafficking. These people were just too talented. She was curious why the system picked them rather than the good guys.
Did it send them to her so that they would work hard for their sins and seek atonement?
She didn’t know for now, but slowly she was going to unravel the secrets hidden behind this scheme.
"In my family, everyone is family and as a family we stick together, protect each other and, above all, do good deeds."
"I don’t know which circumstances led you to this, but team, I am glad to see you here. Let’s do some good deeds together in the process."
"I won’t be asking you to sell any contrabands or committing crimes. I am not a criminal or wish to be one."
"Your job will be very simple. When I summon for you, appear in time and take what I have and do as I have instructed."
"At times you will be required to sell things or buy things and, in this case, right now, I want you to several villages hidden from view and far away from towns and cities. Those people should be suffering and your job this time is to send aid to them."
"I hate to see people suffering from hunger, so you guys go and do some good deeds. Go and deliver food and leave without any trace. We will be doing that for a long time, so I hope that you brace yourselves."
"I will definitely send you to sell a lot of things in the future, but before we do that, let’s gather some merit and hope for safe travels. You never know how bad it can get out there!"
Diamond wasn’t joking when she said that. At first, she wanted to earn some money, but when she thought of the billions; she hadn’t touched and then the many villages and households starving right now. Her heart ached.
It was a last-minute change and as she said that, her heart felt free, as if a huge burden had been lifted off her shoulders.
