Chapter 259: Chapter 257: RUBY MOVING OUT 2

Diamond could see that the girl meant well, so while Ruby and Garnet were taking the luggage inside the apartment, she and Eugene remained outside exchanging details.

After receiving the number, Eugene suddenly looked at Diamond with a hesitant expression.

Upon seeing that, Diamond wondered why she was acting suspiciously like that.

"What is it?" Diamond asked curiously since she wanted to know what was going on with Eugene.

Eugene didn’t know how to say what she wanted to say. After all, she found it quite embarrassing, especially when she had talked to Diamond for so long.

"Come on, I don’t bite!" Diamond urged Eugene, who seemed to be struggling to express whatever was bothering her.

Seeing that Diamond was encouraging her, Eugene could only bite her lips before asking in a low tone, embarrassment overwhelming her.

"This ... I forgot your name. Do you mind telling me again?"

...

Thirty minutes later, Diamond had a smile on her face as she watched Eugene and Ruby chatting like best friends.

Recalling how Eugene was all shy thirty minutes ago because she had forgotten her name and the way she was right now; it was as if she was seeing different people, which was amusing.

Eugene was a student at Summit University, so the two obviously had so much to talk about. And with someone nearby to be with her sister, Diamond was relieved.

Although Eugene wasn’t taking the same program as Ruby, the fact that Ruby now had two friends whom she could seek help from if she ever got into trouble made her feel at ease.

There was Clarissa, who they hadn’t seen in a long time since she was busy and she was another student there.

From Eugene’s mouth, she wasn’t staying alone but sharing with her best friend who was taking a different program from her again. And that made three people who could actually leave together for school every day.

Checking the time and seeing that there was still enough for them to go out and have supper together, Diamond reminded the girls that the clock was ticking.

"Eugene, do you want to join us?" Diamond asked Eugene out since they were together.

It wouldn’t be nice or hospitable for them if they were to leave her out when they have been together all this time.

Eugene’s eyes brightened up when she heard that. She didn’t mind being left behind, but after being invited, who was she to refuse?

Besides, she was quite curious about Diamond since she wouldn’t be seeing her a lot, unlike Ruby.

Something about Diamond made her have this inkling that she should keep the other closer and do everything she could to remain in her good books.

"If you don’t mind me joining, I will be grateful!" why bother rejecting a free opportunity?

Diamond smiled before motioning to her little sisters.

"Let’s leave. We will take my car and Eugene here. Help us find a good restaurant close by!" Diamond instructed, leaving no room for anyone to respond.

"Yes!" Eugene found herself agreeing to the command automatically.

Seeing her like that, Diamond’s smile broadened.

Since there wasn’t any unpacking that had been done, there wasn’t much to do except to grab the keys and leave.

Ruby and Eugene were in the front as Ruby listened enthusiastically to Eugene, who was telling her about the neighbors. People she should be wary of, be close to or keep an eye on and everything.

Following behind was Diamond, who had a smile on her face and Garnet, who was swiping her phone expressionlessly, making it difficult for anyone to guess what was going on in her mind.

They reached the elevator and took it down. Of course, on the way down, it stopped on different floors and more people boarded it.

Being strangers standing and squished in one tiny space, it was inevitable that they would be forced to say at least a few words to each other.

So, by the time they got out of the elevator, Ruby had an image of her neighbors and the people she would be staying with.

Ruby took Eugene to the car and when Eugene saw the car, she couldn’t help but gasp in surprise.

"Is this your sister’s car?" Eugene asked in surprise. Her eyes opened wide.

She couldn’t be blamed for this. She wasn’t from a rich family and staying in the complex was already a burden for the family.

That was why she was sharing with her best friend from the same hometown who had been by her side for years.

With two families combining funds, it wasn’t so bad in the end. Besides, the two of them had part-time jobs, so it wasn’t that bad. But they haven’t reached the point where they can afford such expensive cars ranging from millions of dollars.

Although she was poor, she knew the prices of cars as well. Her best friend, being a fanatic of cars, all thanks to her boyfriend who happened to be a member of some race club called ZOOM, had made sure that even she who didn’t have any interest in the subject knew her bearings pretty well.

So, being able to see such an expensive car parked in the complex where she was staying and being owned by the big sister of a schoolmate, how could she not react like that?

"Um, that’s one of her cars!" Ruby found herself responding this way.

Seeing how excited Eugene was about the car, she was looking forward to how her jaws would drop if she ever saw the other cars.

"You ...." Eugene was simply tongue-tied.

In the end, Diamond suggested that Eugene take selfies by the car before they left for the nearest restaurant for a meal.

When they arrived, parking space was a problem. They had to wait for a while until an empty slot was found. When that was done, Diamond and the young girls left for the restaurant.

Diamond, who didn’t bother to wear a mask to hide herself, was all smiles as she flipped her stubborn hair to the back listening to Eugene the chatterbox. With Eugen around, her sister didn’t need to worry about not knowing anything.

She believed that by the time the week finished, Ruby would be a moving directory and dictionary, with all the necessary knowledge.

Focusing on the two young girls in front, Diamond didn’t have a single clue that a group of young girls were busy squealing excitedly as their phones were aiming directly at her, taking photos and videos.

However, for a technology-sensitive bio-human like Garnet, the second the girls started screaming though they kept it low, she had an inkling that they had stumbled on DIAMOND’s fans.

And her star and mistress, being still unconscious of how famous she was, didn’t armor herself. Maybe it was for the best again. After all, hadn’t she survived all this while in the past?

She could have walked over to them and forced them to delete what they had taken, but why should she?

Was this a free promotion again?

And thinking about how these videos and photos would be flooding the fan groups on Ioniq in a few minutes, her lips curled upward.

’I wonder how many more fans we will gather today?’
