Chapter 253: Chapter 252: MORE ASSETS

The next day, Diamond looked forward to another productive day where she would be adding more assets and spending more money once again.

After the morning chores and breakfast, she and Garnet left the court and headed for the neighborhood which Lucy had sent her the previous day.

It was the day she would be meeting the seller, and she just hoped that the negotiations would fare well.

As the distance to the neighborhood where the house was from Cherry Court, Diamond decided to have a chat with Garnet.

Since she was always busy doing this and that, talking to Garnet and getting that done with, she would count as being productive as well.

"I have been thinking hard about it in the past few days, Garnet. And I think that I have found what you can do whilst staying by my side. As you know, I literally don’t have any enemy that might want me dead. All my information isn’t easily accessible, so the risk of any known or unknown enemy finding me will be rare."

"And I don’t want to waste your skills and talents. At the same time, I want to keep you close to me than sending you to any of my companies to work there. So after some deliberation, I decided to make you my manager," with a smile on her face, Diamond informed Garnet, who was sitting in the driver’s seat.

Garnet’s expression was a bit serious, but she still managed to face Diamond for a brief moment with a smile before facing the front.

"By manager, you mean as in managing your celebrity life?" Garnet asked with her gaze locked to the front.

"Um. As you know, I might be a bit too popular and I don’t basically manage my accounts. At times I even forget that I have it if it wasn’t for Andrea always reminding me. So having someone remind me constantly and take care of my online life on my behalf will be good. And I will need someone that I trust. And you are one of the few I trust," Diamond sincerely relayed her thoughts to Garnet.

"As long as that’s what you want, I will do it," Garnet found no reason to decline this new job post.

It was better than having nothing.

As an AI which was fortunate to be nearly human, to have nothing to do was actually very terrifying.

If she doesn’t have any use for her mistress, then wouldn’t her future be at risk?

She couldn’t help but recall her unfortunate past, which was supposed to be erased but somehow still lingered in her mind.

When their use was exhausted, they were broken down, and taken apart and new robots were made.

And their past existence would be erased. The feeling of being erased, all those memories with the masters or their colleagues, wasn’t something that any of them wanted to go through.

In this new life, granted to her by the deities, Garnet just wanted to do well in any capacity she could. And if taking care of Diamond by being the manager was what would help her, then she was going to go all out.

"Um. When we are done with what we are out to do, I will explain to you in more detail about my plans for this career of mine," Diamond added upon seeing that Garnet didn’t have any qualms with what she had just said.

"I will also look deeper into it and not let you down!"

"That’s perfect!"

The two chatted about different topics, and the car was filled with harmony.

Around ten that morning, Garnet’s ANGEL HT SUV stopped by the roadside in front of a big house with a black gate.

Diamond got out of the car and couldn’t help but take a look at the neighborhood she had never gone to before.

When she first saw the neighborhood, honestly, she was quite surprised. She had known that the place was good but never thought that it would be that good.

The streets were quiet; the houses were big, and the architecture was very impressive.

Although the houses weren’t that expensive like the ones Diamond was currently used to, for average people or families who were part of the top 100 rich families in Frin, living in such neighborhoods was pretty good.

She didn’t dare compare the people’s wealth in these neighborhoods to the people staying in complexes like Cherry Court, Dragon Court or Garden View.

Unless your family’s net assets were worth over two hundred million, no one could stay in those three complexes, plus a few more she hadn’t taken too much interest in since she was so busy.

The neighborhood was definitely not bad, and that was something that got to her. It even made her determined to get the house at any cost.

After checking the place for a while, she and Garnet walked to the gate where they announced their arrival through the intercom and shortly the gate opened wide for them to enter.

Since the car was already parked outside, they simply walked into the yard and Diamond’s eyes started working.

As she walked to where Lucy and a short man with a potbelly were standing talking about something, her gaze was literally everywhere as she took in the beauty and magnificence of the house she was about to buy.

After a short walk, Diamond and Garnet were finally in front of the two.

"It’s good seeing you again!" Lucy cheerfully said as she stretched her hand towards Diamond.

"It’s a pleasure, ae!" Diamond smiled back at Lucy as she accepted the greeting.

Lucy grinned affectionately, very happy to see this money goddess of hers. Without wasting too much time, Lucy began the introductions.

"Diamond, please meet Mr. Dike, the owner of the buildings and house I told you about," Lucy introduced the potbellied man to Diamond with a smile and continued, "Mr. Dike, this is Diamond, the one I have been telling you about."

Mr. Dike looked at Diamond with an astonished expression and it was only him who literally had a clue as to why he was acting like that.

At least his gaze wasn’t vulgar and only contained traces of amazement, otherwise, Diamond would have felt disgusted by his gaze.

"It’s my pleasure to meet you, kind sir!"
