It felt nice sitting with people who had made her dream come true. If she had been a lone wolf, she wouldn’t have been able to achieve so much, though she knew pretty well that she had not done her very best yet.

If it weren’t for these people, Diamond didn’t know how she would have done it. So, she felt grateful that everyone returned and was in a good mood as well.

Having employees who didn’t feel like working wasn’t a good thing, and that was something she wasn’t willing to see at all.

"Thank you, everyone, for returning and joining us as a whole on this special day. It is with great honor that I welcome you all, the soldiers and pioneers behind this foundation." With a smile on her face, and her hands clasped on top of the wide table, Diamond addressed her employees.

The employees didn’t respond, but simply smiled as they nodded their heads. Just because she talked didn’t mean that they should interrupt. They still need to wait for her to finish speaking or permit them to participate.

"You know I don’t like wasting too much time, so let’s get into serious business first. I hope you all brought your notebooks and pens. We will be doing a lot of writing today!" she teased as she looked at everyone in the room who was already holding the notebooks in their hands.

"I will first address each department before addressing everyone as a whole. Firstly, I would like all of you to know that I currently have two assistants. One of them is this beautiful lady in black. Her name is Garnet, so if you can’t reach me in the future, just find her. She will assist you. At the same time, there is another assistant. You will meet her another day. Her name is Nancy, and she is pretty knowledgeable about a lot. I will introduce her to you on D-Angel later today. In the future, there will be more and I will make sure to tell you. That way, you won’t be confused if you happen to bump into them."

"The second issue is related to the security of the foundation. A security company which happens to be mine will start guarding against tonight. They will be joining the family today also, so when you see them on D-Angel, be friendly and make friends"

"Their job will be to protect the company, and any of you, as long as you are at the premises. They are all ex-army, so don’t try to provoke them. If you have something to say to them, then do it, but don’t do it in a way to trample others. In my face, everyone is equal and you aren’t allowed to look down on others. Even me, your boss, I literally do farm! So, I don’t want to see any of you trying to look superior."

"Anyway, I was just giving you a head up, so be prepared. The next thing on the agenda is related to the departments, as I mentioned earlier. Let’s start with the HR department, you guys. I want you this year to hire qualified personnel and some interns and fill the posts you think the foundation is lacking."

"Talking about hiring, I won’t interfere much in how you do it, but let me advise you before we go anywhere. I would hate it if you hire someone through the backdoor who can’t do his or her work."

"Nepotism is there and honestly I don’t really loathe it, but what I dislike is using that method on a useless person. At least bring me a hard worker and someone who will make a change. You even saw my little sister, even if I am the boss. She still worked hard. So, I will expect the same if you ever think of using nepotism around here. Also, no bribing. If that happens, and you happen to be caught too, leave me out of it. Let’s be honest people."

"So, HR people, liaise with the other departments and make a list of who is needed and why. The same as the restaurant. With the more of you coming, the restaurant will be short of hands."

"The legal department, you are next. Make sure you draft reasonable contracts for everyone. In fact, this year, I want every single employee to have their contracts renewed. You will know some of the contents to be changed as the meeting progresses, but you guys have a lot of jobs to do, and I expect the best from you."

"Counseling department, all I know is that you guys definitely need to add more counsellors. You are few and I want efficiency this year. Those who can be promoted, the higher-ups, give me a list and why they should be promoted. This way, we can have positions for interns."

"I will also do my best to find another building which can be used in your sessions. Our rooms aren’t adequate, so will need to add a few. Just give me some time and I will find a suitable place for all of you."

"Tech department, continue doing your best. Your assignment this year will be to collect as much information as you can. If you find something disturbing or anything you think we can work with, you know what to do. I will emphasize other topics you need to be conscious of during your searches this year. If your equipment is lacking, you know who to tell until it comes to me."

"As for the person in charge of the restaurant, don’t let me down. Always remember to liaise with the farm and make sure that everything is of quality. I don’t want any mishaps or buying more than what we all need. Let us learn to save and not splurge and waste food."

"Public relations, this year I want everyone to know about us. I don’t care how you do it, but you guys, you better make this foundation so popular and remember we aren’t desperate for donations, though we will not reject donations from people who mean well. Let us not associate with any bad eggs, I beg of you."

While scanning everyone in the boardroom, she addressed, solemness visible in her eyes.
