Chapter 235: Chapter 233: FRIN SOCIAL CLUBS

So, she stashed all the deeds in her storage ring before she returned with a complicated expression on her face.

Meanwhile, inside the house, Ruby was listening attentively as Selena broke down the complexities of the complex families.

’Must it be that confusing?’ the more she listened to Selena, the more her temples throbbed.

It was at that moment when Diamond walked into the living room, only to see Ruby massaging her temples with a frown on her face while Selena stifled her laughter while narrating the dynamics of the place they were living.

Diamond joined the girls and listened as well. She found Selena’s lessons very important and helpful. After all, she didn’t know a lot, and having someone who knew more than her was truly helpful.

The three of them listened with their expressions changing from one shade to another the more they listened. By the time Selena was done narrating, even Diamond felt like having a calming pill, otherwise, who knows how much she was going to burst because of her complicated emotions.

"Alas. Living in Cherry Court sounds peaceful!" Diamond sighed dejectedly after digesting everything she had heard.

"Hehe," Selena chuckled playfully upon seeing how the two, Diamond and Ruby, were reacting, "It’s really not that bad once you get used to it."

"But still ... I really hate such complexity. People should do less scheming and more working hard towards their dreams, you know. Life isn’t getting any easier with each passing second."

"Big sis, do you think that they don’t know that?"

"I know they know, but I just can’t help it. Haha, but it’s life. What can I do?"

"Nothing much, actually."

The group of three mostly, as Garnet was all silent, maintaining a smile as her eyes lit up once in a while, talked for a bit before Diamond finally asked Selena what she wanted to talk to her about.

Selena understood the cruciality of what she was about to tell Diamond, so she politely apologized to Ruby and Garnet, as the two didn’t really need to participate in the discussion they were about to have.

Diamond didn’t chase the two girls away but took Selena to the study, which was soundproof and a very safe place to have secret conversations like the one they were about to have.

"What is it?" Diamond curiously asked as soon as they were seated.

Selena scratched her nose as she constructed words suitable to tell Diamond that moment.

"Um ... this ... big sis, what do you know about the social clubs of Frin?" she hesitated for a bit before asking that instead of going straight to the point.

When Diamond heard that, she frowned a bit as she didn’t understand what was happening and where Selena was going with her story.

"This ... which clubs are you talking about?"

"I am talking about the secret kind that the rich scions, mistresses, or adults create. Those kinds of clubs!" Selena elaborated a bit as she maintained her gaze on Diamond.

Diamond sighed as a confused expression appeared on her face.

"If you are talking about those, honestly, I have no clue. I haven’t bothered myself with that honestly." Diamond truthfully responded.

She had been too busy earning money and making sure that she did as much charity as she could to keep her system. How could she even go around searching for some secret clubs when she was too busy adjusting to being rich all of a sudden?

Selena wasn’t much surprised to hear that. Otherwise, if she knew, Diamond would be known a lot. She was richer than a lot of people around their age, after all.

"Then do you mind if I tell you a bit about them? That will be helpful when I tell you the reason why I made this trip today!" Selena suggested as she looked at Diamond anticipatingly.

Diamond recalled what Andrea had told her a while ago before he vanished to compile information, and her eyes sparked with interest. Since there was someone to help her understand what Andrea might be informing her later, she might as well take advantage of it and listen well.

"Sure, tell me everything!" she eagerly responded.

"Okay, I will give it to you. So ...."

Just like how universities had their own clubs, every city was like that as well. Several social clubs were created to let those with the same interests have something to do together.

Just like how race enthusiasts loved sticking to each other, showing off their cars and racing against one another, there were other clubs of similar nature as well.

In Frin, there were several clubs actually and some of them were affiliated with others throughout Athary. And those were quite famous and prestigious. Being a member of those clubs would bring honor to one’s family.

One such club was an all-men’s club where businessmen with assets over A$100 million were members.

A member needed to have such assets worth of that amount and over. He would need to be vouched for by at least two members, and a crazy joining fee would be required.

That club wasn’t only in Frin, but it was in several cities across Athary and it was known as Man-to-Man Club. Its members were aged around twenty-five going upward.

The club had tiers or levels of memberships. The level of the member would determine what kind of benefits he would get.

The other club that was quite famous was a women’s club, and this one was very special. It was more of a charity club and the members’ goal was to help as much as they could.

The members needed a good reputation in society without any scandals. It didn’t matter whether they were rich or not, but their overall outlook couldn’t be ignored.

They would go around doing charitable deeds and being a member of that club was a free getaway to get good things in society.

It was the club or society that would recruit members and not members applying to enter it.

It was that strict.
