Chapter 227: Chapter 225: SETTLING THE TEAM

Outside the apartments, several trucks lined up and several men were already busy opening the door hinges to reveal what was inside.

"Miss, are we getting something here?" Admire asked curiously as he looked at the ten trucks in front of them.

"Mm. your furniture is all there. You will have to carry everything inside one way or the other. The manager will show you where to go and all the furniture is the same. So ....."

She began to instruct Admire slowly as she didn’t want to repeat herself again.

All the furniture needed to be taken to the seventh to ninth floor where they would be staying and each apartment needed to be filled first before moving to the next.

Admire listened attentively as he watched his team helping the men who came with the trucks to offload everything off the trucks.

After instructing that, Diamond left the guards to her own devices as Nancy had finally returned from work.

Nancy was happy to see her boss, after all, it’s been a while since she saw the other.

Nancy and Diamond went to her apartment while Garnet remained with the list to check if everything had been delivered.

Moments later in Nancy’s apartment, Diamond held a glass of cold juice which was very refreshing when she drank it. The weather was simply crazy and the sun blazing as if it wanted to bring some apocalypse. So having something to chill her body was great.

Nancy didn’t waste time as soon as they were seated and began to report to Diamond so that she may catch up with what had been happening.

From her mouth, the renovations for the five-story building had a probability of finishing earlier than the three-story one, which she found reasonable considering what she had told the team to do.

Diamond was happy to hear that by month’s end, the five-story building would be ready while the three-story one would need up to late February or early March.

The delay was especially caused by the lack of materials they needed to make the laboratory mostly a secure place.

And since Diamond wasn’t in a hurry, she didn’t mind waiting for longer.

The good news was, the villa was completed and at any time, she could move if she wanted.

That news was very good for her as those freezers she purchased before could now be moved and start doing their job properly.

"Since all of that would take long, your job now is to start recruiting the necessary people for the two companies. I need people who can learn, adapt and also not too egoistic on the job."

"I would love it if you also look for those graduates and offer them a chance to learn from the experienced ones. For the first three months, everyone would be on probation. If they do well, especially for the experienced one, we will offer them a permanent contract and if they don’t, then we can only let go."

"For the interns, if they learn well and adapt the way we want, give them temporary contracts and we will take it from there as we go on."

"For positions such as finance director and managing director, don’t look for anyone. I will pick from the old employees and promote them when it’s time. So just look for the rest."

Diamond began to tell Nancy what she wanted her to do. The process of hiring personnel was one process that Diamond didn’t like very much. It was simply tedious, so having someone else do it for her was perfect.

For positions that had something to lead and deal with money, she didn’t trust newcomers. Her employees were very trustworthy at the moment, so she could pick two candidates from the foundation and see how well they would do.

However, that was another thing for another day. By early February once everything was completed, she wanted to see the microlending and trading companies operating.

Diamond felt embarrassed to give Nancy any more assignments, after all, just hiring people and screening them would take a toll on her and to have the renovations on her load again, increasing would only make her a villainess.

after discussing everything, she bid Nancy goodbye and insisted that she didn’t follow her as she had more important things to do.

On her way downstairs, she came across men and women carrying pieces of furniture without dropping a sweat.

In the reception hall, Diamond found Admire and Garnet who reported to her as soon as she was settled on how the delivery went.

"Everything had been checked. All of it was delivered."

Diamond smiled upon hearing that.

"That’s perfect then. I would really hate it if they scam me!" she said as a mischievous smile appeared on her face.

’That will be a mistake, totally!’ Garnet agreed inwardly.

Diamond shifted her focus to Admire who stood in a military posture, making Diamond wonder if his body wasn’t stiff from standing in that manner.

"Admire, find three more people. I need to bring you somewhere!" suddenly she instructed as she looked at the man lazily.

Admire being a soldier and someone who placed importance on following orders, didn’t question Diamond but simply picked three people he placed dear to his heart and brought them to Diamond.

Upon seeing the two men and one woman, Diamond was curious about them. Mostly it was due to the reason why Admire picked them among the many.

"What are your names?" Diamond only knew Admire and the six guards whom she left in Taco with her parents.

"Miss, I am Martha. I will be in your service."

"Miss, I am Gary. I will be in your service."

"Miss, I am Clark. I will be in your service."

Diamond nodded her head as she committed to memory the three’s names and after a while, she opened her mouth and said, "It’s nice meeting you. And don’t worry. You won’t regret your choice of coming to Frin. Trust me!"

The three didn’t react much and Diamond didn’t take it to heart as well. Who knows what kind of training they received for them to be that expressionless?

"Okay, since you are all here. Follow me. We have a lot of work to do!" she instructed as she stood on her feet.

No one moved and waited for her to walk first before they followed her.

As usual, Garnet was slightly behind her while the four were following behind the two.

Diamond brought everyone to her Arcadelle SUV, and she felt glad that she drove it instead of the Angel. How would it be possible for her to take everyone with her with only a car that only allowed two passengers?

But with the SUV, she could have six passengers and five were just right. After everyone settled in the car, Diamond drove away, her destination being one of her favorite places to go.

Too bad she had been too busy that she didn’t have time to go and check the place out. But now that she had time, she didn’t mind going a bit crazy for a while.

Her accounts were simply too full for her to ignore.
