SIGNING IN: BEING SHOWERED BY HEAVENLY BLESSINGS FOR FIVE YEARS -
Chapter 219 - 217: CROUCHING TIGERS
Chapter 219: Chapter 217: CROUCHING TIGERS
As soon as she was given the pass to enter, Selena drove her car into the villa complex and looked amazingly at every single piece of infrastructure, gardens and the beautiful roads that made Cherry Court part of the top three complexes in Frin.
To think that Diamond and Ruby indeed lived in such a place, she couldn’t help but be envious.
’I can at least brag to everyone that I have a friend and a sister who stay in such a place.’
Selena stays in the Garden View complex. It is an old complex with a lot of hidden tigers, but none of the villas there were as expensive as any villa in Cherry Court.
Besides, Cherry Court was less crowded than Garden View. so, it was very peaceful and a fun place to be.
Selena counted the villas, which was of no use since the villa she was going to, was the middle one.
She spotted the villa from a distance and just like she saw on the internet; the villas were spacious with a lot of land that owners barely used.
Selena parked her car to the front before taking out her phone to call Diamond.
However, before she could even do that, the front door opened and a strange and yet familiar face appeared.
’Um. Isn’t that the girl I was curious about yesterday?’ she asked as she looked at her curiously.
Garnet received Diamond’s instruction to bring the guest inside the house, so she went out, only to find the other person looking at her curiously. If she was in her original world, she would have panicked a bit, wondering if her disguise had been exposed and whether she would have to be formatted again.
However, with Diamond, apart from her and Andrea, no one knew that she wasn’t a real person. In fact, she looked like any other real people out there. So, she didn’t panic a lot when she saw how the other person was looking at her.
If she were to think deeply about it, she would just assume that since her face was new, then the guest was simply trying to find out who she was.
"You must be Selena; big sis says that you can come in. Breakfast is ready!" Garnet informed Selena causally, just like how she was instructed.
Since she called Diamond her big sister and Ruby more of a friend since their ages were nearly the same, she simply addressed Selena causally. From what she had inferred from talking to Diamond and Andrea, Diamond wanted to treat her as a sister and another personal assistant.
She didn’t need to act or reveal herself as a bodyguard unless it was really necessary.
And as a Perry, she acted like one.
So, when Selena heard this newcomer, whom she had never seen before addressing her like that, she became at ease.
Maybe it’s another relative of theirs. She concluded.
"Thank you. I will be out in a second!" Selena said smilingly to Garnet before she started rummaging around.
After sorting out her stuff for a while, Selena got out of the car with her handbag in hand and a big bag she took from the backseat of the car
"Let me help you!" Garnet volunteered upon seeing how heavy the other bag seemed, even from a distance.
Selena heaved a sigh of relief upon hearing that. The bag was simply too heavy and with someone helping her to carry it, she would save herself.
"Thank you!" she said gratefully as she passed the heavy load to Garnet.
Garnet accepted the bag and carried it with ease as she walked to the front. Seeing Garnet already walking away with the bag in hand, Selena scurried behind, not wanting to be left behind.
Inside the house, Diamond was on her phone busy teasing her fans after she posted a photo of hers, she took the previous day when eating in a restaurant.
Whenever a fan would comment, she would either react or reply, depending on what they said.
So, when Garnet brought Selena inside the house, she simply raised her head and smiled at the other before looking back at her phone.
In her eyes, Selena wasn’t a guest. She was like another sibling, so treating her more special wasn’t really going to happen.
"Selena!" Ruby called happily as soon as she saw Selena.
Selena beamed at Ruby, happy to see the little one.
"How have you been?" Selena asked as she walked towards Diamond who had a smile on her face as she typed something on her phone.
’I wonder who she is talking to!’
"I am doing great, and you?"
"Couldn’t be better. How is the new year treating you so far?"
Diamond listened as the two exchanged pleasantries and, in the process, Ruby excitedly introduced Garnet to Selena.
When Selena heard that the girl, she was curious about was a relative of the two and also called Garnet, she couldn’t help but wonder how much Diamond’s family really loved their jewels.
At this rate, it wouldn’t be shocking to meet a Pearl, Jade, or Emerald. It was quite unique and fascinating, actually.
"Food isn’t yet ready. How about I show you around?" Diamond volunteered as she placed her phone on the table.
When Selena heard that from the person who had been busy on her phone from the moment she arrived, she beamed.
"Can we really do that?"
"Um. By the time we finish touring around, Ruby should be done!" Diamond said smilingly as she gave Ruby a death glare.
How dare this little girl cook something that took years to be fully cooked?
How long had they been waiting for food and even after waiting for more than an hour, there was no progress? How could she not threaten this little sister of hers who was trying to make herself look like a MasterChef?
When Ruby saw that, she smiled sheepishly as she responded flatteringly, "Yes. The food will be ready. Don’t worry."
With her assurance, Diamond dragged Selena, who had no idea what was happening and began to take a look around the house.
Meanwhile, back in the kitchen, Ruby dragged Garnet to the kitchen, and the two started working together as they chatted happily. But deep down, Ruby feared for her life.
If the two ended before the food was ready, Diamond was surely going to punish her.
Who made her to be so absentminded that she switched off the gas unknowingly, making her waste nearly an hour without anything happening?
It was simply so frustrating!
