Chapter 210: Chapter 208: HOME SWEET HOME

Diamond really liked these guards a lot. They would always greet her respectfully every time they saw her and, above all, they didn’t look at her lecherously.

She could communicate with them without feeling nauseated.

So, she took out some money from her bag and gave it to them before leaving with Ruby, chatting all happily as if she didn’t just give away ten thousand without blinking an eye.

By the time the guards finally digested what had just happened, the sisters were already halfway.

Holding two thousand dollars each, the five of them couldn’t believe it.

"Just like that, she gave us nearly half of our salaries!" a slightly chubby guard had his jaws on the ground.

"This ...."

"Haha, didn’t I tell you before that it was worth it doing that before!"

"Hah, we finally see it. Sorry about scolding you before!"

The guards were very excited as they stored the money in their pockets, carefully afraid of something happening to them.

Diamond had no idea about what the guards were saying as all she wanted to do was go home and take a look at the first house she ever received after getting bound to the system.

As she and Ruby walked to villa number three, Diamond didn’t see a single shadow of anyone.

"I guess we are the first ones to return!" she sighed helplessly upon seeing that.

"There is no difference, though. The villas are widely spaced and unless we are closer to each other, we don’t even get to see others."

"That’s true."

The sisters made their way home finally.

Diamond took out the keys and unlocked the door before entering.

The house didn’t look dusty at all or had any lingering dust in the air.

"It seems Aunt Janet once dropped by!" Diamond stated after looking around for a while.

"Um. She is dedicated to her job."

"Indeed, she is!"

The sisters took the elevator upstairs. Ruby got off her floor while Diamond remained until she was on the top floor.

When she got out of the elevator, she confirmed further that Janet had indeed stopped by the villa and gave the place a cleanup.

’I need to reward this loving woman!’ she thought as she walked towards her room.

When Diamond entered the bedroom, she smiled as she looked at the small robots moving all over her room.

Since she didn’t want anyone in her bedroom, she had Andrea program those cleaning robots for her. That way, even when she was gone, her room would always be clean.

Diamond wasn’t so tired that she needed to rest.

Instead, she first opened all the windows to allow some fresh air to circulate in the room while she went and freshened herself.

After tidying up, she left the bedroom and went to her study, which was sparkling clean with more robots dutifully doing their job.

She opened the windows and cleaned the desk before sitting down.

She powered up the computer and checked something for a while before she gave up.

She left the study and made her way downstairs.

Ruby was still upstairs, however, that wouldn’t stop her from doing what she wanted.

Diamond took out the fresh produce her mother had given to her and stored it inside the pantry while others she placed in the refrigerators.

By the time Ruby came downstairs, Diamond was already cooking. And as the younger sister, she didn’t dare sit down and let Diamond do the job for her.

The two sisters had a tacit understanding, so they quickly finished their cooking before eating heartily as they watched a program on TV.

After eating, Ruby dutifully washed the dishes before the two sisters lay on top of the mats in the living room for a chat.

"You will be opening on the 16th of January. However, by the 13th, you should be done with every procedure. You remember that, don’t you?" Diamond asked as she looked at Ruby.

Ruby grinned at her sister.

"I can never forget that. I will have it all done as soon as the school opens their doors!" she boasted.

"That better be the case."

"Trust me on this case."

Diamond corked her brows as she looked at Ruby before smiling at her.

"I will trust you. Before we do that, though, you need to provide me with a list of the furniture you will need in the studio apartment. We will buy it the day after tomorrow."

"Oh! Why not tomorrow?"

"I have other things I need to do. So just think carefully about what you will need."

"I will, sis. Don’t worry."

With something to do, Ruby hurriedly pulled her phone closer to her and began to start her research. And it was even easier for her since Diamond had sent her before what the studio apartment looked like.

On the other hand, Diamond pulled a cushion from the sofa before using it as a pillow. Moments later, she was softly snoring, rendering Ruby speechless.

’Was she that tired?’ she couldn’t help but wonder seeing her sister like that.

However, there was nothing that she could do about her sister. Instead, she began to look at the furniture that she would need.

And since she wasn’t the one buying, she wanted the best. After all, she would be using it for four years and, if she got lucky, more than that.

’Let’s see. I would need a bed, obviously. A double-size one would do since the space isn’t that much. There is a fixed wardrobe, so I don’t need to buy one for myself.’

’I need a study desk, a comfortable chair and a bookshelf.’

’There is a fixed kitchen cabinet, however, I would need the stove, gas and other kitchen utensils. The remaining space will be for the living room. Add a single couch, a table and a carpet to make it look good.’

Ruby used her time wisely as she jotted down everything she needed and did not forget the small things.

If she didn’t write them down and forget them later, wouldn’t she be paying for those with her money?

With her sister feeling generous, she might as well add everything that she needs.

Without her knowing, the list slowly grew and by the time she was done, she looked warily at Diamond, who was sleeping and sincerely prayed.

’Please, don’t let her flare up when she sees this!’
