Chapter 208: Chapter 206: SETTLING DOWN

Diamond ushered the six bodyguards inside the gate before locking it.

After that, the seven of them began to head towards the villa.

On the way, Diamond got acquainted with everyone and got to know each other, even though it was just brief.

It didn’t take long before she brought everyone inside the house, where Belinda welcomed the six with a motherly gaze, rendering the six speechless and making them nervous.

When had they ever been treated in such a manner?

Belinda was very enthusiastic and, seeing how welcome she was, the six gradually became relaxed.

After the introductions were done, following Belinda’s lead, the six guards were taken to the cottage where they would be living from now on.

The six were satisfied with their living space. After all, it looked more luxurious than the other places they had lived before.

Diamond left the guards to her mother. Since she was so eager to get them integrated into their surroundings, she might as well do something else.

So, without further ado, Diamond excused herself and left her parents and Ruby with the guards at the cottage for a chat.

Diamond informed Admire as soon as she was in her room about the arrival of the guards before getting back to what she had left the others for.

"Andrea, darling!" Diamond called for her beloved son as she lay on top of the bed while scrolling through her tablet.

{Mother!} The cat emoticon appeared on the screen covering what she was seeing.

However, she didn’t get upset since she wasn’t really serious about what she was seeing on the screen.

"Help me register my parents’ companies for me."

{Should I use the names they came up with?}

"Um. Those will do. I will need all the relevant documents before I leave for Frin."

{I will have that sorted before then. Also, mother, the corporation is registered, and I have hidden all the information related to it. Until you are ready to reveal it to the public, no one will connect the dots.}

Diamond beamed when she heard that. With what Andrea had done, Diamond would continue to live as she was.

She was not afraid of anyone finding out that she was the owner of so many businesses.

It was easy to attract hate and trouble.

"That’s good then."

Andrea vanished the same way he appeared, and Diamond took that moment to visit the D-Angel app to see what her staff had been up to during the vacation.

When she started going through the chats, she couldn’t help but muse finding all of them to be quite cute and hilarious at times.

However, it wasn’t all about their funny adventures during the vacation, Diamond also found how the rain affected a lot of people back there.

A lot of houses were damaged, some people died, and the tragedy was just too much.

Seeing all that, she knew that everyone would be busy once they opened. This was another opportunity given to her to help others. A lot of money would be spent, but who cared when her money was just too much for her to spend?

When she was done checking all of that, she left her room and went downstairs. She couldn’t find everyone, so she ended up going back to the cottage where she found that the six guards were more of the family now than what they were before she left.

"Mom, Dad and Ruby, do you mind leaving for a bit? I want to speak with them!" Diamond asked as she looked at the three people who meant more to her than anyone else.

Belinda looked hesitant as she didn’t know what Diamond would bomb these souls with, but when her husband tugged her hand, she could only agree.

"Okay and don’t be tough!" she reminded as she got on her feet.

Diamond watched as her mother left with a dumbfounded expression.

Since when was she tough? She couldn’t help but wonder.

When everyone was gone, it was just the seven of them in the room.

Diamond didn’t want them to feel burdened and, on top of all that, make them feel alienated.

As they would be protecting her parents for the long term, as long as they are good at their job, they would be more like family instead of mere servants to the Perry’s.

However, before becoming intimate and all that, Diamond knew that she had to make some ground rules, otherwise anyone could trample on her and her family at will.

And that wouldn’t be something that she would want to see.

Which was why she decided to give it to them straight before they got too relaxed and forgot the reason why they were there in the first place.

"I know that we have chatted a bit earlier, but now it’s the real talk. I will break it down to you what I want to see from you when you are staying here and protecting my parents. I ..."

What she expected from her bodyguards was very simple, actually. She wasn’t asking for much, but she hoped that they would give their utmost best in everything that they did.

"My parents are very low-key people, so unless someone knows that they are my parents, which I know would be difficult, they won’t be facing any real threatening enemies in the future."

"However, I am not sure about when a thief might think of breaking into the villa one day or attack them on the road or their working places."

"So, your duties will be to protect them in the shadows all the time without making it look like you are there to guard them."

Instead of walking around as bodyguards, the six might as well take other identities and protect their parents safely.

For example, the two female bodyguards might even act as her mother’s assistants and go with her everywhere. It was normal for business people to have assistants.

The same could be done for the father as well.

"You will listen to my parents and do whatever they want. And don’t be stressed. She is not a bad person and you will see that as time goes on."

"Your salaries will be paid directly to your accounts, so don’t bother my parents with that issue. Anyone that stresses those two will be several punished and trust me, you wouldn’t want to be on the receiving end of that!" a mischievous smile appeared on her face as she fanned herself.

However, every time the fan went ’shwa’, the bodyguards involuntarily shuddered though they maintained their demeanor.

After stressing everything that she would require from the six, Diamond left the cottage with a smile on her face while continuing to fan herself with the ordinary fan she took a fancy to on New Year’s Eve.

"Huh, that was scary!"

"Never judge a book by its cover!"

"It’s really surprising that she is a martial artist. Who would have known?"
