The next day, Diamond didn’t rush to go downstairs once she was done dressing up but readied herself for the video call. She was about to have with Admire.

There wasn’t much time actually, and she wanted everything done as quickly as possible.

So, when the clock struck nine, Diamond was connected and on the other side of the screen. Admire wearing a black outfit sat majestically.

"Life has been treating me better, so I can’t really complain."

Admire wasn’t a man of many words, so he stopped talking and waited for Diamond to continue the conversation.

Diamond naturally didn’t mind, as she took over the conversation with ease.

Previously, she had promised Admire about the employees’ benefits and she was still determined to fulfil her promise.

Back then she had said to Admire, ’I will offer free accommodations for those that will come, but you will be sharing with others. If you want to live on your own, the company will compensate you, but it will be reasonable. That means that for those with families, I won’t be able to accommodate you now. After all, we haven’t worked with each other yet. Consider the following few months as probation. As long as you work well with me, then I guarantee you that I will not hold out on you.’

’For those that can’t come to Frin, I will compensate them greatly. However, Mr. Admire, you need to know that I won’t pay people for free. If you can’t provide the service that I am paying for, then I see no reason to keep a freeloader with me.’

And now that the answer had arrived, it was only right if she fulfils her end of the bargain.

"I will transfer to you, the wages for the people that won’t be working with us. So, make sure that everyone is greatly compensated."

"As for those that will be working with me, I will do as I promised. However, you need to understand that I will only provide free shared accommodation for my staff and not their people. If they want to bring them over, they will fork out their own money to do so."

"Good to hear that," Diamond smiled. "Send me the list of everyone in two parts. One for those that will be staying and one for those leaving."

"Among those that are staying, find me a team of six people willing to come to Taco Town, where my parents live. I want them to protect my parents. And I would appreciate it if there is at least one woman. But if there isn’t, then it’s fine."

[When do you want the list and the team?]

"The list I need it in like two hours and the team, I will give you up to the 31st. The people however need to be aware that I will need them in Taco by the 2nd of January since I will be leaving by the fourth."

"Also, inform the others that they will be compensated greatly for cutting their vacation short. I want everything settled before I go."

[I will relay your message to them. The rest of the team, when do you want them to come to Frin?]

"They should be there by the 8th. Everything on my side should be done by then," she said confidently.

Diamond and Admire talked for a bit before ending the meeting.

Diamond stretched her muscles as she left her bedroom for downstairs where everyone should be gathered.

Diamond froze as soon as she heard that. Did what she just heard mean exactly what she thought it was?

Her heart couldn’t help but thump vigorously at the thought of it.

"Sis, there you are! I was about to come and call you!" just as she was feeling happy and planning on returning to her room to check on the reward, Ruby appeared like a harbinger of disturbance.

However, Diamond couldn’t do anything to her baby sis in that situation. After all, judging by what she knew of Ruby unless it was her parents who were looking for her, the other wouldn’t dare be reckless.

Diamond suppressed the urge to take a peek at the reward and forced a smile on her face as she looked at Ruby, who was waiting for her.

"Sure. Let’s go downstairs together!"

The two sisters went downstairs together and Diamond listened to the fresh gossip that Ruby was eager to share.

Upon reaching downstairs, Diamond smiled brightly as she spotted her father talking calmly with Kian, sharing laughter now and then.

"Good morning, Dad!" Diamond cheerfully greeted her dad as soon as she was in view.

Richard looked at his beautiful daughter, who made his heart swell with pride.

"Good morning, angel! How was your night?" he asked dotingly.

"Hehe, it was fine and yours, Dad?" Diamond asked as she sat on an empty sofa.

"That’s good!"

After greeting her father, her attention shifted to Kian, her lover, as she gave him a bright smile.

"How was your first night, dear?" without caring about what her dad would think, Diamond asked.

Kian, seeing that Diamond never changed no matter what was very happy inside.

"I slept well and you, dear?" he asked softly as his eyes were on her and nowhere else.

"It was awesome!"

Belinda listened with a smile as her husband, son-in-law, and daughter chatted merrily in the living room as she finished serving the food.

When she was done, everyone gathered in the dining room where a hearty breakfast was eaten, filled with warmth and love.

With breakfast out of the way, Diamond informed her parents that she had something to show them, so everyone should be ready to go out.

Knowing the kind of surprises their daughter usually prepares, the couple became ecstatic as they both couldn’t wait to see what she had planned.

Everyone got ready and after thirty minutes, two cars left the Perry villa.

Ruby shared the car with her parents as she drove behind her sister’s car. Diamond obviously was with Kian, and the two lovebirds were busy catching up and having the time of their life.

Love wasn’t all about rolling in the sheets but getting to know each other as well.

Diamond drove at a steady pace so that Ruby wouldn’t miss her. After being on the road for over an hour since there was a bit of traffic along the way, Diamond finally reached the first destination.

When Kian saw the strange place, he couldn’t help but wonder what Diamond was doing in such a place.

Diamond showed no eagerness to explain herself as she parked her car, exited the car, and waited for Ruby to do the same.

The couple stood next to each other as they whispered some sweet nothings while waiting for the remaining three.

Shortly, everyone was gathered, and Diamond was ready to rock and roll.

"People look busy even at this time of the year!" Belinda sighed dejectedly as she looked at the men in overalls working tirelessly at the place where Diamond had taken them.

Diamond smiled as she led everyone to the gate.

"If people relax and sit on their hands, what will be waiting for them will only be death. As long as a man is alive, he needs to work. There won’t be any miracles happening and mana falling from the sky."

"That’s true. At some point, we also used to be the same!" Richard ruefully said as he recalled how tough life used to be back then before Diamond had a stroke of luck.

"Indeed, it was quite an experience."

"What are we doing here big sis?" tired of hearing everyone circling around, Ruby asked curiously.

"We are here to strike it big!" Diamond cheerfully said as she stepped through the gate, entering the massive garage she had seen a while back.

Everyone followed behind and was welcomed by several men constructing on the site.

"Who are you?" another young man asked curiously as he sized all of them.

"Is your boss here? Tell whoever is in charge that Ms. Perry is here!" Diamond didn’t answer the question but posed her own.

’Where did I hear of that name?’ the young man wondered as he made his way to the office.

"Let’s walk around. This place’s spacious!" Diamond urged as she walked towards the office, ignoring the curious gazes of the workers.

"Darling, what do you think we are here for?" Belinda couldn’t help but ask her husband as she walked beside him.

"Let’s see. With Diamond, it’s hard to tell!" Richard shook his head as he looked forward to where her daughter was sauntering all over the place as if she owned it.
