Ruby still felt that it was a dream as she looked at her sister talking and laughing merrily, sitting next to Kian.

It took her a very long time to digest the news she had just heard.

Diamond stood by the door with her arms crossed as she looked at Kian looking around the room.

"Do you like it?" Diamond asked softly.

"Un. I like it. Thanks for preparing it!"

"It’s all mom’s effort. She had been waiting to see you for a while now!" Diamond couldn’t help but smile brightly as she said that.

"I can see that, and I am grateful!" Kian felt warmhearted as he recalled how welcoming everyone had been.

"Okay, you settle yourself and get some rest. It’s been a long day!" Diamond said as she straightened her hands while giving a wink at the man.

Kian smiled dotingly at Diamond, seeing how ready she was to leave.

"Okay, my lady. You go and rest, okay? I will see you in the morning!" he didn’t try to make her stay but readily let her go.

"Sure, dear. Goodnight!" Diamond smilingly said as she waved lightly at him.

Kian waved back as he watched Diamond drag Ruby away and chuckled softly.

’It feels great being here!’

Instead of being downcast that Diamond just left without doing anything with him, he was actually at ease.

He didn’t want to be seen as a lecherous man in front of her parents. Besides, if he were to get intimate with her, it wouldn’t be in her parents’ house. He didn’t want to be disrespectful like that.

He went to the door and closed it before heading back to the bed, where he started unpacking.

On the other side, Diamond and Ruby were in Ruby’s bedroom with the door closed as the two sisters lay on top of the bed giggling after something that had been said earlier.

"Sister, you .... Are you really serious about the reverse harem thing?" after laughing a bit, Ruby couldn’t help but ask her sister.

Although the idea made her blood boil and she really wanted to see something like that in real life, she couldn’t help but worry about her sister.

At times, ladies were fragile and easily succumbed when it was about matters of the heart. She didn’t want to see her sister, who was finally on her feet and blessed considering how she was fortunate to come across the golden finger that had made her who she is today to regret her life choices.

"Why? You think your sister can’t do it?" Diamond teasingly asked as she pinched Ruby’s small nose.

"Sister!" Ruby glared at Diamond sulkily as if she had been wronged. "Why do you like doing that every time?"

"Hehe!" Diamond couldn’t help but laugh heartily seeing how Ruby was pouting. "I just love touching it. Your nose, I like it!" she said shamelessly while reaching out for the nose once again.

Ruby covered her nose with her hands swiftly, afraid that she might end up suffering under her sister’s naughty hands once again.

"Umph!" she hmphed as she looked at the other.

Diamond raised her hands in surrender, but the glee in her eyes was enough to make Ruby feel wronged.

"Your sister had loved before and gave her all. For him, I tolerated everything," Diamond suddenly started explaining, brushing the previous teasing aside.

"Sis, you ...!" Ruby was taken aback as she wasn’t expecting her sister to suddenly start telling her about the things that had happened to her before.

Until now, not even her parents understood what truly transpired back then. They only knew that Diamond was involved with a scumbag and a slag of a man who broke her so heartlessly that her sister nearly left the world.

And as for asking Diamond about it, they were all afraid that by asking, they might reopen some wounds that were healing and make her recall the bad times.

So, to think that she was finally willing to tell her, the little sister, what happened before, she felt honored and at the same time, very worried.

She just hoped that by the time Diamond was done narrating, she would still be cheerful and like the sister she had known for the past nine months.
